Mir turned back towards the center of the stage, where a crowd had formed consisting of Lemi's bodyguards and aristocrat friends. He waited in silence alongside the audience in the gallery.
About half a minute later, Lemi's unconscious body finally jerked a little under the combined efforts of the crowd. Mir had no doubt that some of them were capable of resuscitating Lemi through their mutations, but he couldn't tell if any of them had used such an ability.
He was just relieved that he hadn't killed the boy by accident. Seeing him open his eyes made Mir happier than anyone else.
Lemi wore a nauseated, confused look for the next couple of minutes, his gaze vacant, as if none of the things his friends were saying to him were being processed inside his head. Only when a judge coughed loudly in the megaphone to grab everyone's attention did some life return in his eyes. He sat up and looked at their desk hopefully.
