Chapter 1: New Beginnings
July 15th, Year 26 of the Hidden Sand Village.
At the Ninja Academy, six-year-old Rasa stared blankly at the teacher standing at the podium. In front of his eyes, a translucent screen displayed: "Loading 99.99%"
That's right—this Rasa was not the original Rasa.
In his previous life, he had been an ordinary college student on Earth. Thanks to his quick reflexes, honed by 20 years of single life, he managed to snatch a volunteer spot for a marathon event at his university.
On the day of the event, dressed in a red volunteer uniform and cap at five in the morning, Rasa joined the main group on a bus heading to the venue. However, on the way, an accident occurred. A speeding dump truck took a sharp turn and crashed into the bus. He had no idea how many people survived, but one thing was certain—he didn't.
Somewhere beyond, an entity overseeing reincarnation—perhaps out of pity, or simply to meet a performance quota—decided to send a group of young volunteers into different worlds, each with a unique system to assist them.
One individual was assigned to "Naruto World No. 9527", eager to live out his dream as a ninja and embrace the Will of Fire. He excitedly claimed his Naruto System and rushed through the portal—only to land in "Pokémon World No. 9528" instead.
Rasa, unfortunately, was that individual.
Rasa: "…"
Reincarnation Overseer: "…"
Bystanders A, B, C, and D: "…"
Though resigned to his fate, Rasa still received the Pokémon System before somehow ending up in the Naruto world. But because the system wasn't originally meant for this world, the overseer intervened to prevent any complaints, offering him an emergency compensation package and customer support contact.
Additionally, he was granted a small privilege—the ability to choose a minor character from the original storyline to reincarnate as.
Without hesitation, Rasa chose the Fourth Kazekage, Rasa—a character with the same name as him.
First, minor characters were usually either weak or insignificant, so the choices were limited. Second, sharing the same name felt like destiny. Third, Rasa was a huge fan of Gaara. If he couldn't become Gaara, then becoming Gaara's father was the next best thing.
As for the Fourth Kazekage being classified as a "minor character"—who cared? He was, after all, a Kage who got taken out in a single fight, one of the earliest casualties in the story.
When he next opened his eyes, he had already been reborn into this world—as a helpless infant.
Since newborns weren't suited for training, the Reincarnation Office had a policy that systems would only activate once the host turned six. During these six years, Rasa's system underwent updates and patches. The newly localized version adjusted Pokémon combat strength to fit the ninja world's power system.
However, unlike chakra, Pokémon cultivated natural energy—the same type of power harnessed by the three great summoning sanctuaries.

The unfortunate world-hopper: "I demand a complaint! I want a refund!"
Naruto System: "Error: Data loading failed."
Rasa: "I ×&%¥#@...!"
Hidden Sand Village – Ninja Academy
"Ding! Pokémon System – Ninja World Adaptation Version 1.0 is now online. Welcome, Host! My name is Yumi, and it is my honor to serve you."
A robotic voice echoed in Rasa's mind as the progress bar on his screen finally hit 100%.
"An AI? Why does that name sound so familiar…?" Rasa wondered.
Still in class, he couldn't speak aloud, so he tested the system mentally. "Yumi?"
"I'm here."
"…Knock on wood?"
Suddenly, a familiar virtual wood-knocking interface popped up in front of him.
Rasa: "…"
Closing the window with a thought, Rasa opened the beginner's tutorial. Yumi's voice continued:
"The Pokémon System, as the name suggests, allows the host to summon Pokémon. There is no limit to the number of Pokémon the host can capture. Additionally, other people in this world can also capture Pokémon using Poké Balls.
"However, the host has only six Bond Slots. Placing a Pokémon in a Bond Slot grants the host an additional 10% of that Pokémon's power. Once all six slots are filled, the host can replace Pokémon by spending Pokémon Coins."
"After conversion, Pokémon strength is classified as follows:"
LV1-10: Academy Student
LV11-20: Genin
LV21-30: Chunin
LV31-40: Elite Chunin
LV41-50: Special Jonin
LV51-60: Jonin
LV61-70: Elite Jonin
LV71-80: Kage
LV81-90: Super Kage
LV91-100: Six Paths Level
"Apart from the Hidden Leaf Village, Genin from other villages have relatively similar power levels, so they are grouped together. The difference between Chunin is split into two levels since some barely last after using two C-rank jutsu. Jonin have a wider strength range, divided into three levels."
"For Kage-level and above, finer distinctions exist:"
LV71-73: Early Kage
LV74-76: Mid Kage
LV77-79: Late Kage
LV80: Peak Kage
"The same applies to Super Kage and Six Paths levels."
Since Pokémon didn't originally exist in the Naruto world, everything related to them—Poké Balls, food, items—came from the system.
Rasa took a deep breath, absorbing all this information. This was going to be interesting.
The Pokémon System's main objective was for the host to spread Pokémon throughout the world, making them an integral part of daily life. The system featured six main functions:
Pokémon Scan – Allows the host to view information about any Pokémon within a 100-meter radius.
Pokémon Shop – Sells Pokémon-related items but does not allow direct purchases of Pokémon. Instead, the host can buy Pokémon eggs. A newly added feature after system updates was the Pokémon Habitat Zone, which transforms a designated area into a suitable Pokémon ecosystem. Wild Pokémon can then naturally appear and reproduce. However, transformations must follow geographical rules—for example, a desert can only be modified into a desert habitat and cannot suddenly turn into a grassland or forest.
World Map – Displays the entire ninja world, highlighting areas suitable for Pokémon habitat transformation. This helps the host efficiently spread Pokémon across the world.
Lottery System – Offers two types of draws: 100 Pokémon Coins per draw or 900 Pokémon Coins for ten draws. Prize rarity is ranked as follows:
White (Common)Green (Uncommon)Blue (Rare)Purple (Epic)Orange (Legendary)Red (Mythical)
The system guarantees a Green-tier item in every 10 draws, a Blue-tier in 100 draws, a Purple-tier in 1,000 draws, an Orange-tier in 10,000 draws, and a Red-tier in 100,000 draws.
"Isn't that an amazing deal? As long as you have enough Pokémon Coins, becoming the strongest in this world is just a matter of time!"
The sudden enthusiasm in Yumi's voice almost made Rasa lose his balance. This AI assistant sure is advanced… but why does it sound so weird?
Achievement System – Completing achievements grants corresponding rewards. The harder the achievement, the greater the reward.
Inventory – Stores items. The initial storage capacity is 10 cubic meters, which can be expanded using Pokémon Coins.
Lastly, Pokémon Coins could be exchanged for local currency at a rate of 100 Ryo = 1 Pokémon Coin.
"If the host has any questions, feel free to call on me, Yumi! Also, don't forget to rate my service. A good review helps boost our AI department's performance!"
A rating prompt immediately popped up. Rasa, maintaining a deadpan expression, selected one star and typed in the suggestion box: "Needs improvement. AI voice transitions are too stiff. No alternative voices available. Bad review."
After submitting the review, he entered the system's main interface.
The design was simple—Pokémon's iconic logo at the center, with six function icons neatly arranged at the bottom. In the top-right corner, an envelope icon kept flashing insistently, making it impossible to ignore.
Clicking it open, Rasa found a compensation email from the Reincarnation Overseer.
Skimming through 2,000 words of rambling text, he finally reached the important part and clicked "Claim Rewards."
"Ding! Congratulations, Host! You have received:"
1 Choose-Your-Own Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon Egg (Orange-tier)1 Skill TM (Orange-tier)100 servings of Pokémon FoodPokémon Coins × ???
"Well, at least the overseer is generous. Even if they talk too much, they do care."
Closing the email, Rasa immediately asked, "Where's my newbie package?"
"Ding! Congratulations, Host! You have opened the Newbie Package and received:"
6 Poké Balls1 Choose-Your-Own Pokémon Egg (Blue-tier)Pokémon Coins × 1,000
After checking his rewards, Rasa felt a sudden urge to keep in touch with the overseer. It would be great if they could send gifts every day.
Opening the email interface, he quickly composed a message:
"To the great Overseer, my dearest benefactor, I, Rasa, humbly bow in gratitude. Your kindness knows no bounds, and I swear to honor you forever. May I one day repay your grace! Blah blah blah…"
Lost in inspiration, he wrote a 10,000-word essay filled with poetic praises and heartfelt devotion before finally pressing "Send."
Just as he finished, the school bell rang, signaling the end of the day.
"What a productive day."
