Chapter 26 - Chapter 13: Aiding a Enchanting Lady (2)

Tangmo stopped trembling ever since Phakin pinned her down with his body, using his fingers to pinch her mouth shut to prevent her from making any noise.

When the police arrived, she tried to get up and ask for help. Being so close, she even managed to glimpse the license plate of the mercenaries' car. But Phakin tightened his grip on her mouth and pressed her down more firmly.

Now, she had no choice but to trust the man in front of her. She stopped moving and waited for the group of policemen to pass by.

After a moment, Phakin slowly propped himself up into a sitting position.

Tangmo also sat up, asking him in confusion, 'Why didn't you ask for help?'

Phakin gave a cold smile, "If there wasn't a mole, how could they rob someone right in the heart of the command center? This route is an escape path for fugitives. If we stood up and told them the make and license plate of the car, we'd surely be silenced by the "mole"!"

Tangmo thought it over and realized

it was possible!

She hadn't considered it that thoroughly. This groomsman from Mars was much more mature.

Just as she was about to thank him, she felt her hand wet. When she lifted it, she saw it was stained with blood, her face paling. She quickly examined herself. She was wearing a white T-shirt, making the bloodstain on her right waist particularly evident. But when she pressed on the spot, she felt no pain. Tangmo then hurriedly looked at Phakin's left waist and saw blood seeping out, her face paling."

Phakin looked after them and smiled, comforting, 'It's just a scratch. It's okay, really.'

"How can it be..."

Phakin waved his hand. "If it was a serious spot, leaving it for minutes like this, you'd be bled out or at least pale from the pain by now."

"Let's go see a doctor!" Tangmo hurriedly helped him find a doctor.

Phakin agreed. "Definitely, but first..." He lifted his smartphone, opened up the MGC Online forum, and started typing...

Tangmo looked at Phakin's screen and began to understand him.

If her brother's suspicion about a rat helping the prisoner was correct, leaving a clue under a fictional name would add a layer of safety. The criminals helping the prisoner would find it much harder to trace them.

Doing good but calling trouble upon oneself, wasn't worth it, right?

But she stopped thinking about how 'good people have it tough in this world' when she saw her groomsman's Mars ID!

Tangmo rubbed her eyes repeatedly until her eyelids almost peeled off. But when she was sure, she pointed a trembling finger at him.

"You are... you are... you are... you are... you are... you are... you are!!!!"

.

.

Tangmo has become a stutterer.

Phakin smiled, turned around, and said, "Miss Melon, I have no influence in the real world, but in the game world, I have quite a bit. If they dare to challenge me in MGC, let them try. I'm not afraid at all."

[Everyone is likely aware of the news that mercenaries have kidnapped a serious criminal undergoing treatment at the police hospital in Thailand. My friend was walking around that area and saw four soldiers taking a middle-aged man into an M-brand sedan with license plate number XXXXXXX.] – Sagittarius

Phakin pulled himself up and said, "Alright, everyone, let's get out of the scene, so they won't be able to trace us." He glanced at the area where they had been lying but found no bloodstains or any evidence that they had been there before.

Being a good person behind the scenes is indeed safe and worry-free.

Tangmo regained consciousness after the young man struggled to stand up. She quickly went to support him, leading him towards the sound of the ambulance siren.

When Pakin saw Tangmo coming to help him, he did not resist, smiling and saying, "Upon meeting Ms. Melon, difficult things became easy, and bad situations alleviated. Those two bullets, if they had been a bit lower, I would have met the Grim Reaper."

Tangmo shook her head, still in shock and unable to say anything.

In the area set up for treating minor injuries, the nurse said, "It's lucky the bullets just grazed you and didn't hit any vital organs. If you want to be sure, you should go to the hospital." After stitching him up with five or six stitches, the nurse left, as his injuries were not severe and didn't require urgent hospital care.

Hearing that it was indeed a graze, Tangmo's mind cleared as her processing system returned to normal. She thanked the nurse who had stitched him up and then turned to ask for confirmation, "Are you really Sagittarius?"

Phakin turned and smiled in response. "Of course, Miss Melon."

"Do you know..." Tangmo paused for a moment, then laughed at herself. "Melon is the same as Tangmo (eng. watermelon), right? How could I not guess?"

As they were about to say something more, a report came in over the police radio announcing that the drug dealer kingpin had been neutralized. They matched the car registration posted on the MGC Online forum.

The two of them exchanged looks and smiled at each other amidst the cheers of the surrounding crowd.

Those who remained were not seriously injured, most having been trampled in the chaos. Therefore, when they heard that the culprit who caused their suffering had met his end, they cheered in satisfaction.

"Using the name Sagittarius, even if you are on the side of the kingpin or those mercenaries, no one would dare cause trouble for you in the game... That's awesome," Tangmo gave a thumbs up. The system was back to full processing capacity.

"Being influential in the game isn't completely worthless," Phakin smiled in response.

They smiled at each other, but the events weren't over yet.

"Young master!" came a voice with a southern accent.

Phakin turned quickly to meet the gaze of an elderly, bald man standing in front of him and greeted with a wry smile, "Hi Uncle Wai."

"It really is you, young master!!!" Uncle Wai rushed over. When he got closer and saw a beautiful young woman in casual clothes, a T-shirt, and jeans, supporting the boss's son, he respectfully kept his distance and greeted her.

Uncle Wai said eagerly, "Madam received a letter from the United Nations saying young master was back and she was very happy," while glancing at Phakin's left waist where a bandage was wrapped, and frowned.

Phakin waved his hand, saying as usual, "It's just a scratch. No need to worry."

Uncle Wai nodded in acknowledgment, still speaking in a southern accent (Thailand is like any other country. with many accents), "When you were a kid, you went up island with the boss carrying a gun to chase away pirates often. I'm not worried."

Phakin waved his hand again, this time in a goodbye gesture, "Well then, good luck, Uncle Wai," while nudging Tangmo to quickly retreat!

"Uh..." Uncle Wai didn't have time to say anything more as the other party had already fled. Uncle Wai rolled his eyes once and then lifted his smartphone.

Snap... Snap... Snap... Snap, snap, snap, snap, snap.

"Ufu Ufu Ufu, this child doesn't look bad at all. Whose offspring might he be?" A middle-aged woman with tanned skin was looking at the picture of Tangmo while talking on the phone.

"Shall I investigate further?" Uncle Wai asked.

The woman on the other end of the line thought for a moment and then said, "For now, it's enough to know that they are in Bangkok. Inform all the shops about the young master and his girlfriend. If Kin or her asks for help, provide them with full assistance."

After Uncle Wai hung up, the middle-aged woman tapped her computer a few times. The 3D image that Uncle Wai secretly took was sent to her mobile phone. She opened the door and saw a large farm in the middle of the sea, sprawling over hundreds of rai (Area Unit in Thailand).

"Ufu Ufu Ufu," she naturally walked around the farm, showing the secretly taken photo to all the employees, boasting about her son and his girlfriend.

The person who was misunderstood is now fine.

At that time, Tangmo was very frightened and clung to Phakin. After walking around and relaxing, she realized and distanced herself from the young man. When they entered the clothing store, she immediately hid in the fitting room.

The overlapping images of Sagittarius and Phakin came rushing in. The fear of Sagittarius, along with the decision to reveal information about the van carrying the criminals, showed meticulousness, making her feel that he was much more mature and cunning than her.

Phakin took Tangmo shopping for clothes because his blood had dried on the stomach area of her T-shirt. If she went back like that, for sure, the people at home would be very alarmed seeing a young woman who encountered something bad all alone. It was better for Tangmo to slowly explain that she was involved in a police chase with a criminal but remained unharmed and returned safely. This would likely lessen the shock at home.

As for him, living alone in a condo, he could just throw the bullet-holed shirt away when he got home and be done with it.

The store staff noticed that Phakin was wearing a shirt with holes and bloodstains, but they weren't too alarmed. They had heard the gunshots. This man was likely caught in the crossfire but seemed relatively unscathed. Instead, they noticed the brands of clothes he was wearing!

His entire outfit cost nearly a hundred thousand!

A wealthy person, so they had to provide the best service and help find clothes that pleased the young woman.

When Phakin looked up, he saw Tangmo coming out in a white lace dress and said, "Thank you for waiting."

Phakin chuckled softly, pointed to the several pieces the female staff held, and said, "Take all of these and please put the original one in the bag, too."

"Hey! Wait a minute!" She was just like every other girl who had just started working with a low salary, picking out many different styles because she only wanted to try on clothes and look at herself in the mirror to curb her yearning. She didn't need anyone to buy them for her or pay for her.

For a girl with looks like Tangmo, during her school days, there was no shortage of handsome, rich guys chasing after her, pampering her with everything. But the fact that she remained single to this day proves one thing: she is a woman who likes to stand on her own feet. She wants to be valued for her hard work, not her appearance!

So, she especially dislikes guys who use money to win over girls.

The salesperson didn't pay attention to her bow, asking cheerfully, "Would you like to take the matching bag as well?" Of course, they wanted to sell as much as they could.

But Phakin focused on Tangmo's words. He asked again for confirmation, and Tangmo responded resolutely, "I will pay for it myself!"

Phakin nodded in agreement, "As you wish," and lifted his phone to order the self-driving car from the parking lot to wait in front of the store, allowing Tangmo to pay herself.

When Tangmo tried to insist further, as always happens when a wealthy man is about to use money to buy compliance, she swallowed her words, wondering, "So he was just walking with me to keep me from being scared, without any intention of courting me?"

But as Tangmo looked at Phakin, who was ordering the self-driving car, her eyes fell on his hands...and it made her blush.

The more she saw his hand moving around, the redder her face became. She felt an unexplainable tickle in her chest.

What Phakin randomly grabbed in the beginning must have been...

her breasts.
