The classroom was cleaned once again as the teacher walked in. She yawned as she took a seat at the front of the class.
"Good job. You good for nothings. Hey, where is the trash?"
The two shrugged, returning to meditating, the door of the classroom opening. Charlotte walked in, soaking wet, with a slight grin as he looked at the teacher. His teacher gave a small smile as she clapped her hands.
"Good job reaching the second stage faster than these two ingrates. You look like you got something you want to ask."
The two students didn't react except for the red hair, as she clenched her fists and her knuckles became white.
"Yes...I want your opinion on how exactly I should start this step."
He would walk into the classroom and sit in the corner, away from the other two. He was feeling quite refreshed after taking a small bath at a lake and washing his clothes, but sadly, he didn't have time to dry himself.
"Well, assuming you know how to do it and what I have heard and seen from you. You are naturally sturdy, so you can deviate from the usual route that goes to blood vessels, bones, flesh, nerves, and skin. You can start with the nerves before working on the rest. Go from the brain to the nerves. You won't get too far, but it should make you capable of reacting and moving faster. Especially since the competition is about to begin."
He nods his head despite being against the idea. Moving faster was only going to cause him to lock up even more. But any progress elsewhere wouldn't help him either; if he became more sturdy, that would practically help nobody. Especially with magic involved and the fact he already is incredibly sturdy.
"Have you decided who you will be fighting? I imagine the same brat as before?"
She took him out of his stupor as he looked at her and shook her head.
"Someone named Haze wants to fight me, and I decided to accept their challenge."
She seemed to want to say something, but she stayed quiet. His golden-haired classmate seemed to speak up finally.
"You're a fool; why would you accept a challenge...if he wants to fight you, he has a plan to take you down, or do you believe you are above that, you foolish commoner."
Disdain was evident in his voice as he glared at Charlotte. Sparks seemed to bounce off him.
"Why not? I doubt I'd lose...at worst, I am still here; at best, I will end up beating him and going up a class. Are you worried I'll surpass you so quickly?"
He got up and seemed ready to fight, but the teacher's cough grabbed his attention and made him sit down again.
"Haze Prigent is the son of the current emperor. He may be the youngest one, but he is not to be underestimated. He has received training from many. Do you think your training with that mute is enough to surpass that advantage?"
Charlotte would glare at him as he mentioned Fang, only for him to glare back.
"Leon, do you even know who that mute is? If you knew how much further ahead and stronger he was than you, you wouldn't be so insulting. Isn't that right?"
The red-haired classmate responded as she opened her eyes and looked at the teacher, waiting for her to back up her claims. The teacher seemed a bit hesitant as she rubbed her chin.
"I can't say much... because you're all so worthless, so I'll say this much. He is already at the third stage, so he is way stronger than any of you or anyone in this school if we are talking purely physical terms, for that matter. as long as we don't count the teachers. He is only in such a low classroom because his power is too wild to control effectively; if he used it, he could easily win any fights and most likely kill any of you. Does that answer satisfy you, Amber?"
She cringed as she said her name, glaring at her only to be met by the teacher sticking her tongue out.
"Now, if you're all done being such a pain in the ass, focus on yourselves. Frankly, I don't see many of you advancing to higher classrooms at this rate."
The two grumbled, closing their eyes to meditate, and Charlotte couldn't help but chuckle as he closed his eyes. He covered his head in Chi as the overwhelming feeling of his senses being heightened and everything moving just a bit slower overwhelmed him. He carefully begins engraining the Chi into his brain and spreading it down towards his nerves throughout his whole body. The entire ordeal felt like it took minutes. Eventually, it became too much, and he had to stop and open his eyes.
As soon as his eyes opened, he could feel the difference. Everything was slightly sharper, and he felt dizzy. As he went to put his hand on the ground to stop himself, it was as if he had touched fire, and he quickly pulled his hand away. His senses had remained slightly enhanced even after recalling his Chi; the difference wasn't much from how it was usually. Yet it was enough to throw him completely off. He simultaneously moved slightly faster while everything became a bit slower. This was most certainly going to take getting used to...is this why she said he wouldn't get far? He would have to adjust to the changes every time he enhanced himself.
The teacher seemed to chuckle at seeing him scramble around as he tried to calm himself down and let his body adjust. He could feel his body getting used to the enhanced sensations; he began moving his arms and legs slowly. He must have looked silly, especially when he heard Amber quietly laugh.
He realized that if he trained with Fang today, he would feel the pain a lot more clearly...that would not be pleasant.
