Ravenclaw Library.
Andy casts a spell on each of the three quills, making them follow his own thoughts and ideas and complete the homework for the Charms class, the Defence Against the Dark Arts class and the Transfiguration class.
Quills, thanks for your hard work!
Hermione glares at Andy; then picks up her quill, dips it in ink, and starts to write the homework for the Charms class.
"Magic frees our hands," Andy said, stretching.
"Magic also makes you lazy," Hermione snapped.
Andy didn't bother with Hermione and closed his eyes, recalling what he had learned in Divination.
To be fair, Andy hadn't learned anything in this class.
Divination…
This class was really just a place to waste time, as the senior students had said.
As long as you 'predict' your impending misfortune in the final exam, you can get a passing grade. If you are even more ruthless with yourself and 'predict' something even worse, your grade will improve even more.
But the response given by the system panel is not like this!
When taking the Divination class, Andy wanted to add the talent of [Divination] to four points. In the end, he helplessly discovered that he only had three points of [Potential Points] and could not add any.
But it was this opening of the system panel that made Andy discover something interesting.
The red liquid in the system orb has a hidden function.
If Andy can effectively improve his magic abilities, the red liquid in the orb will increase.
During the Divination class, the red liquid increased a little.
In other words, Andy's prediction was valid.
No! It should be said that Andy has effectively improved his ability to predict the future.
This is incredible.
Andy simply couldn't believe his eyes.
'What have I learned?' Andy still can't figure it out.
'Is it the tea leaves?'
Andy doesn't think so.
'Maybe it's the feeling...'
For the first time, Andy clearly perceived a fog in front of his eyes – as if he could see something, but also as if he could see nothing.
There was no doubt: it was a vision!
Only Andy's field of vision was blocked by the fog.
It was as if the book's title were true:
'Unfogging the Future'.
In the words of Professor Trelawney: Andy's perception and knowledge had blocked his view.
Andy had two options to solve this.
The first is to use his own efforts and his own talents to clear the fog and connect with the future.
The second is to add some points.
There is a saying that in the face of innate talent, hard work is meaningless.
In the field of Divination, three points of talent is indeed a bit mediocre. Andy felt that the main reason he could not see the future clearly was because he did not have enough talent.
He had the vision, but he could not see through the fog.
'It's just that...'
Andy was a bit distressed.
Soon after the first few days of school, Andy was ready to go to the Knockturn Alley to catch someone and experiment with dark magic transfiguration.
Until this whole experiment thing came to an end, the attribute of [Will] was the most important.
There was also the attribute of [Soul].
If the magic of death could really reach the soul, Andy would have to increase the attribute of [Soul] to at least five points before the magic transfiguration.
'Forget it,'
Andy thought.
It's not important to predict the future at the moment. Learning Divination is meant to increase the chances of gaining [Potential Points].
Divination is indeed tempting.
Seeing into the future and peering into destiny.
But that's for later.
One must take things one step at a time.
Andy is already making good progress, and speeding up the learning process would be counterproductive.
'That's it!'
While pondering, the quill had already finished Andy's homework.
Thank you, quill pen!
**
The Arithmancy Professor is Septima Vector. Like Professor Trelawney, this Professor was also an invisible person who basically did not appear in front of the students.
Unlike the whimsical art of Divination, Arithmancy is based on the theory that the world is built on mathematics.
Arithmancy is based on rigorous mathematical calculations. Therefore, to learn this course well, you must have a certain mathematical foundation and a flexible mind.
Andy and Hermione both found it interesting.
Because thinking is exactly what Andy and Hermione like and are good at.
Andy used the method Professor Victor taught to calculate Hermione's nature and path in life.
Whether the result was accurate or not...it's hard to say.
But by the time the Arithmancy class was over, Andy noticed that the red liquid in the system's sphere had grown a little more.
System: Congratulations, you have effectively improved your ability to predict.
Andy: I haven't learned anything.
For the first time, Andy felt a little unsure.
Divination lessons... How surreal!
"Divination is fascinating,"
Hermione said enthusiastically on the way to the great hall. "Andy, after dinner, how about we play Tarot? I can help you predict your fortune."
"Hermione..."
Andy asked in surprise, "You've learned it?"
"Of course!"
Hermione nodded matter-of-factly, and then recited the fifth and sixth pages of the book "Unfogging the Future" fluently and without missing a word.
There were also a few key points about Arithmancy divination.
Things like lucky numbers, personality numbers, heart numbers, social numbers, and so on, as well as the personality and meaning represented by each number.
For example:
The number 1 represents solitary or individuality.
People who are '1' are very independent, focused, honest and determined.
They set themselves a goal and then go for it with all their might. They don't like working with others and don't like giving orders. They are usually loners.
In class, Hermione helped Andy predict the number '1'.
The young witch felt sure of herself!
"I think I have a talent for Divination,"
Hermione said with conviction and enthusiasm, "Andy, you remember the prediction I made in Divination class, right?"
"You are about to face trials and tribulations!"
"I can use the Tarot cards to make another prediction for you, which might help you get through this."
Andy: "..."
To be honest, the upcoming magic transfiguration experiment was indeed a trial and tribulation.
Hermione's prediction was somewhat accurate!
It's just that...
Andy scratches his head, he feels like a muggle!
Are you really accurate, or is... all of this just a coincidence?
Considering that Hermione is one of the original golden trio, Andy feels that Hermione may really be a master of prophecy, and she has an extraordinary talent in this area.
This is also in line with Auntie Rowling's plot arrangement.
"Then..."
Andy looks at Hermione hopefully, "Hermione, I'll leave it to you then. I will indeed encounter a bit of trial and tribulation."
