After the dinner, the prefects of each house need to take the first-year wizards to their dormitories, while the second-year wizards and above can move around freely... However, on the first day of school, everyone still needs to tidy up their dormitories.
Andy is not crazy enough to go to the library and read on the first day of school.
Back in the dormitory, Andy shared some snacks with his roommates and talked about their respective summer holidays.
There is an elective course registration form on the nightstand.
Andy has registered for all the elective courses as planned.
After washing up, Andy lay quietly in bed, thinking about the Time-Turner that he would soon get his hands on. He couldn't help but feel a little excited.
A magical object that could turn back time!
In theory, in any world, a prop that could control time should be a very high-end treasure – carefully kept under lock and key, and only taken out and used at the most critical moments to change the situation.
But in this world...
The Time-Turner is just a learning tool, its function is to allow you to take more elective courses.
How cheap!
No matter what Andy thought, he still felt that this kind of situation seemed a bit unbelievable.
In the end, Andy could only attribute it to the fact that the Harry Potter novels were based on fairy tales. After all, fairy tales were...unbelievable.
As Andy thought about this, he fell into a deep sleep.
The next morning, Andy woke up and noticed that the elective course registration form on the nightstand had disappeared.
After washing up, Andy put on his new wizard's robe and went to the Ravenclaw common room.
"Good morning, Hermione."
Andy waved and asked, "How long have you been waiting?"
Hermione stood up from the sofa, stretched her arms high and yawned, "I just got here too, less than five minutes."
Andy's eyebrows rose slightly, his eyes showed a little surprise.
Third-year Hermione had already started to develop.
If Hermione was a tomboy in the first two years, then she is now quite attractive.
She is still a bit flat-chested, but Andy is sharp-eyed and can tell.
"Huh? What's wrong?" Hermione looked at Andy in confusion.
"Nothing. Let's go! Let's go eat first."
Andy said with a normal expression, "By the way, did you sign up for all the elective courses?"
"Of course!"
Hermione said, "Divination, Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, Care of Magical Creatures, and Muggle Studies... I'm interested in all of them."
"I know, you want to ask me why I want to take Muggle Studies when I'm from the Muggle world..."
Before Hermione could finish, Andy smiled, "You want to see the world of Muggles from a wizard's perspective and see what the differences are."
Hermione nodded and beamed, "Exactly! You know me so well!"
"After all, we've known each other for two years," Andy said.
During their conversation, Andy and Hermione had walked to the great hall.
During breakfast, the Ravenclaw prefect suddenly came over. He told Andy that Dumbledore wanted to see him and Hermione in the Headmaster's Office.
"Thanks!" Andy nodded.
After breakfast, Andy and Hermione went to the Headmaster's Office together.
The Headmaster's Office looked no different from before. The round room looked very spacious, with a desk in the middle, with some documents and ornaments scattered on it. Dumbledore was sitting in the chair behind the desk, and he even winked at Andy.
"Good morning, Professor Dumbledore," Andy and Hermione said politely.
"Good morning, Mr. Collins, Miss Granger,"
Dumbledore instructed, "Please sit down!"
"What did you want to see us for?" Andy asked.
Dumbledore looked at Andy, "I think you already know, don't you?"
Hermione turned to Andy curiously and asked, "What is it? Are you keeping a secret?"
Andy touched his nose.
There was obviously no point in pretending in front of Dumbledore, so Andy simply said, "Professor, are there any other conditions for getting the Time-Turner?"
"Of course not,"
Dumbledore said, taking two Time-Turners out of a drawer – they were beautiful timepieces with a long, thin gold chain.
"What's that?" Hermione asked.
"A Time-Turner. It allows you to turn back time and go back to the past,"
Dumbledore continued, "You just need to hang it around your neck and turn the dial – remember, one turn takes you back an hour."
Having said that, Dumbledore crossed his arms and looked at Andy with his blue eyes as he continued, "I hope you understand that the Time-Turner's capabilities are also limited, and it is very dangerous."
"If you use it with the idea of changing the past, then you will get nothing and may even lose your life."
Andy's face turned dark upon hearing this.
How worried about me are you to say such things?
"Of course, I understand!"
Andy hurriedly assured him, "Professor! In fact, I am very wary of the power of time. If I wasn't sure that the Time-Turner is safe and harmless, I wouldn't use it at all."
Dumbledore nodded and said in a serious tone, "You have to promise me that you will never use the Time-Turner for anything other than studying before I can safely hand it over to you."
"Of course, we promise!" Hermione said quickly.
The young witch's attention had been completely captivated by the Time-Turner.
Time travel!
What a magical power, one that only appears in the films.
"Professor, what if it breaks..." Andy tentatively asked.
Dumbledore's eyelids twitched, "If it is only used for learning, the Time-Turner will not break."
Andy touched his nose, "Studying the Time-Turner...can also be considered learning, right?"
Dumbledore felt that he might have worded it wrongly before!
In Dumbledore's perception, Andy would never be interested in knowledge outside of magic.
But this time, Andy signed up for all the elective classes.
Muggle Studies, Care of Magical Creatures... Dumbledore never thought Andy would take these two classes.
Then Andy's purpose became clear.
He wanted the Time-Turner!
Dumbledore originally thought that Andy wanted to use the power of the Time-Turner to change the past or achieve some ulterior motive.
But now it seems...
Andy may simply want to disassemble the Time-Turner!
"To make a Time-Turner, you need to have a very high level in Alchemical study,"
Dumbledore said. "In addition, you need to learn the time reversal spell."
"But this spell has long been lost in the wizarding world."
"In other words, no one can make a Time-Turner now!"
Andy frowned on hearing this. "Lost? Didn't anyone write it down in a book or something?"
