Chapter 399 - Chapter 399 Malfoy: I will pledge my loyalty to the Dark Lord in advance

Harry and Ron were silent at Andy's words.

In just two years, Hogwarts had already had four Defence Against the Dark Arts Professors.

Remus Lupin is the fifth!

Hermione glanced at Andy and bit her lower lip, but in the end, she did not say anything for Snape.

Snape is undercover.

His identity must never be revealed.

It could even be said that the more Harry hated Snape, the safer Snape's identity would be.

"That's right!"

Harry suddenly said, "Andy, I haven't thanked you for Sirius yet. Thank you for saving him."

"You don't need to thank me!"

Andy said with his hands spread out, "At first, I really wanted to capture Black in exchange for the Ministry's reward, but given his innocence, I couldn't push him to his death."

Andy spoke with absolute conviction when he said this!

Because that was indeed what Andy had been thinking at the time.

Even today, Andy is glad that he was able to hold onto his bottom line.

Because once some bottom lines are crossed, people can become devils.

Hermione was also very happy.

She felt that although Andy sometimes spoke selfishly, his heart was actually full of a sense of justice.

Harry said seriously, "In any case, Sirius was rescued because of you. He told me that he originally planned to kill Peter Pettigrew alone."

"But if Peter Pettigrew dies, no one will be able to prove his innocence."

Andy shrugged, "Then you have to buy me dinner!"

"Of course!"

Harry was very happy, "Then...okay, it seems that I can only invite you to dinner during the summer holiday."

Admits their laughing and chatting, the carriage quickly arrived at Hogwarts Castle.

"You guys go to the great hall first, I have some personal business to take care of," Andy said.

"I'll go with you," Hermione said.

The four of them walked to the castle entrance and were about to part ways when Ron suddenly said loudly with a displeased expression on his face, "Malfoy, what are you doing here?"

Andy turned his head and saw Malfoy walking over with his two sidekicks.

"No one's talking to you, Weasley."

Malfoy gave Ron a contemptuous look, then suddenly remembered something and continued, "I heard your father won the Gold Galleon Prize? 700 Gold Galleons... Your family has never seen so much money in your lives, right?"

Ron's face turned red, "Malfoy..."

Harry stepped forward angrily and said, "Malfoy, do you want a fight?"

Malfoy retreated tactically and then said stubbornly, "I'm here to see Collins..."

Having said this, Malfoy glanced at Andy and said, "I want to talk to you about something."

"That's fine, I'm going to the Owlery."

Andy tilted his head and signalled, "Just tell me what you want on the way!"

Malfoy nodded and said to his two cronies, "You go to the Great Hall first."

"Andy..."

Ron tugged at Andy, "Be careful, don't fall for Malfoy's tricks."

Malfoy: "..."

Unless he's crazy, how could he possibly use tricks on the third Dark Lord?

The group quickly parted ways, and Andy and his two friends walked towards the Owlery.

"What do you want?" Andy asked.

Malfoy glanced at Hermione, indicating that what he was about to say must not be heard by a third person.

"It's okay, Hermione is not a stranger," Andy said.

Malfoy's face was twisted. What he was about to say was very confidential. He wasn't sure if Hermione knew Andy's secret.

Hermione held out her hand towards Andy, "Give me the letter, I'll send it for you."

She didn't want to listen to Malfoy's words, either.

"Thank you!" Andy handed the letter to Hermione.

After Hermione left, Malfoy suddenly felt relieved. He looked at Andy with a slightly nervous expression on his face, "Collins, during the summer holidays, Professor Snape came to my house..."

Malfoy paused for a moment when he got to this point, suddenly not knowing how to continue.

That secret was too horrifying.

When Malfoy first heard it, he was almost scared half to death by their conversation.

"You heard Snape talking to your father?" Andy asked in surprise.

Malfoy looked at Andy in shock. "You know?"

"A little,"

Andy said, trying to get his thoughts together. "Your father must have been very anxious this summer, right?"

"Yes, he was a bit anxious," Malfoy said.

His father wasn't a bit anxious, he was going crazy.

During the summer holidays, Snape suddenly paid a visit to Malfoy Manor. Their conversation was supposed to be confidential, and Malfoy didn't intend to eavesdrop.

But as he passed the study door, he overheard his father cursing Snape loudly and very harshly.

But after that, his father begged Snape to help him.

Malfoy was curious, so he went over to eavesdrop for a bit – and then he heard Snape and his father talking about Voldemort.

Malfoy then learned that Voldemort had not died.

After that, Malfoy became very concerned about this matter.

To be fair, Malfoy thought it was pretty cool to be a Death Eater.

Malfoy is an absolute pureblood, and if he had been born in Voldemort's time, he felt that he would have thrown himself into Voldemort's ranks without hesitation.

But his father, Lucius Malfoy, was planning to betray Voldemort.

After Snape left, Malfoy overheard his father talking to his mother again—they had talked about it many times.

And since they were at home, they didn't have to be careful about what they said.

Malfoy realised that his father had delivered something vital to Voldemort to Dumbledore's hands. Not only that, but his father had been careless enough to ruin Voldemort's plan to resurrect himself.

When Voldemort was resurrected, he would not let the Malfoy family go.

Malfoy was terrified.

Before the start of the school year, Lucius had specifically instructed him to find an opportunity to test Dumbledore's attitude towards the Malfoy family.

Malfoy felt that his father was planning to defect to Dumbledore's side.

However, Malfoy had his own thoughts.

After all, he and the third Dark Lord were classmates, which meant that he was in a good position to... Oh, no! It meant that he was pledging allegiance to the next Dark Lord in advance.

But before that, Malfoy felt that he had to find out more about Andy's abilities and his beliefs.

"Because of Voldemort?" Andy asked nonchalantly.

Hearing the name 'Voldemort', Malfoy visibly tensed up, but there was also a faint sense of excitement in his heart.

He really knew about it!

"Yes, yes!"

Malfoy tried to sound confident, "You know about the You-Know-Who? You know he's still alive?"

"Of course!"

Andy nodded, "I even fought him once and stopped his resurrection plan."

"It's nothing special!"
