Andy glanced at the five people standing across from him, his eyes flickering slightly, and his right hand moved imperceptibly towards the position of his wand.
"Don't move!"
Scrimgeour shouted, his wand pointed at Andy, his tone was stern as he warned, "You better not even move a finger, or we won't be as polite as we are now."
Andy paused, and said with some helplessness, "Okay! It seems I have no choice."
Scrimgeour pointed his wand at Andy while feeling for a pair of silver-white handcuffs in his pocket. "Cooperate. Now...raise your hands!"
Andy raised his left hand as instructed and said indifferently, "We better talk this over calmly. If you insist on doing this, I don't think things will go as smoothly as you think."
"You have nowhere to escape!"
A blonde Auror also pointed her wand at Andy, "Where is Dawlish? What have you done to him?"
"You better not take any chances. We have many ways of searching your memory if necessary. Believe me, it won't be a pleasant experience."
Andy glanced at the five people opposite him, "Of course! I've always believed that."
Scrimgeour continued, "And your right hand, raise it, sir."
"I'm not alone,"
Andy said calmly. "There are 40 minutes left. If I don't leave the Ministry, that guy Dawlish and his wife are dead. Believe me, those guys are not as nice as I am."
Although the situation was not too bad for the time being...
Well, it was already bad!
But Andy had at least not fallen into the hands of the other party.
"We will not negotiate with dark wizards!"
Scrimgeour said firmly. "If John has truly met with misfortune, we will avenge him! Now, raise your right hand. I will not say this a third time!"
Andy raised an eyebrow. "Really? I don't believe it!"
Back when he first encountered them, Andy had wondered why they hadn't attacked immediately.
There were five of them, and they had taken out their wands before Andy did.
Even if they wanted to keep him alive to interrogate him for information, they could have used the stunning spell to subdue Andy and confiscate his wand.
A wizard without his wand is no threat at all.
They could have used a Truth Potion or some other means to interrogate him for information.
At that point, it looked like Andy had no way out, but as long as he had his wand, there was still a chance.
Andy figured it out later.
It was the distance!
Andy was about 15 metres away from the five people opposite him, and magic doesn't travel as fast as a bullet.
Andy could cast the Shield Charm as soon as he touched the wand.
This is the Department of Mysteries, and there are too many secrets hidden in this room.
Obviously, they were worried that Andy, who was cornered, would retaliate with a devastating spell.
For example, the Blasting Curse or the Fiendfyre Curse.
In contrast, it would of course be best if Andy could be captured without any trouble.
In fact, if one disregarded the fact that the house elf could ignore the Ministry of Magic's 'Anti-Apparition' charm with its own 'Apparition', Andy really did have nowhere to go at the moment.
The blonde Auror glanced at Scrimgeour and then asked Andy, "Is John Dawlish still alive?"
"Of course he is!" Andy nodded.
"Who are you? Remnants of the Death Eaters? What is your purpose of infiltrating the Ministry?" The blonde Auror continued to ask.
Andy smiled and did not answer this question.
'If I say I am a student of Hogwarts, would you believe me?'
"We can make a deal,"
The blonde Auror gave a kind smile, "We'll trade you for Dawlish and his wife. But first, we need to make sure you're not a threat."
"This is the best outcome for you,"
Andy pretended to think about it.
"It sounds good,"
Andy tilted his head and glanced at Scrimgeour, "But... I still want to try to resist a little."
"Attack!" Without any hesitation, Scrimgeour shot a red magic beam at Andy the moment he finished speaking.
Bang!
Andy's right hand touched the wand handle, and the Shield Charm was instantly activated, easily repelling Scrimgeour's spell.
Just as Andy had thought before, a distance of 15 metres was actually a bit far for wizards. Although magic was a ranged attack, the attack speed and range were actually limited.
After repelling Scrimgeour's spell, Andy immediately rolled on the ground to avoid the spells of the other four people.
"Avada Kedavra!"
Andy chanted loudly, waving his wand with his body memory, and a gloomy green light flashed through the circular room.
"Get out of the way!" Someone shouted in a hurry.
The killing curse did not hit the opponent, but the Aurors still made the action of "dodging" due to the deterrent effect of the killing curse, which gave Andy a little breathing space.
After getting up from the ground, Andy quickly glanced at the positions of the five Aurors.
Compared to the four minions who retreated, Scrimgeour had taken the opportunity to get within ten meters of Andy—a dangerous distance.
"Heh!" Andy let out a laugh and pointed his wand at Scrimgeour.
Scrimgeour did the same.
The two beams of magic collided fiercely in the air, flashing dazzling sparks.
Scrimgeour's eyes widened in disbelief. His magic had been forcibly pushed back by Andy's.
Who the hell was this person?
When did such a powerful Death Eater appear outside of prison?
It wasn't that Scrimgeour was arrogant, but he had naturally proven his strength by being able to reach the position of Head of Auror Office. Amongst the Aurors, he was also an absolute elite.
He was in his prime and would often do some training in private.
Scrimgeour was confident that, in the entire British wizarding community, no one was his match except for a few people.
His strength could rank him amongst the top twenty in the country.
If that was the case, the person in front of him was definitely not some nobody.
Andy quickly swept his gaze over the positions of the other people.
Although he had temporarily overcome Scrimgeour with the power of his explosive emotions, Andy was not overly optimistic.
There were five people on the other side.
The pressure of a one-on-one battle was completely different from that of a five-on-one battle.
Moreover, Andy did not want to kill anyone.
At least until the situation became desperate, Andy did not want to kill these Aurors.
Although he had used the Killing Curse before, Andy didn't think it could kill them. As long as they weren't too scared to move, it wasn't too difficult to avoid the Killing Curse.
But fighting head-on...
Looking at the other four Aurors who had already surrounded him, Andy understood that without using the Patronus Charm, he had no chance of winning a head-on battle.
