Knock, knock!
On hearing a knock at the door, Dawlish looked at his wife with some confusion – who could be knocking at this hour?
They lived in a Muggle neighbourhood and were not familiar with their neighbours. Besides, it was dinner time and their wizard friends would not visit at this hour.
Dawlish was a little on edge.
There had been a lot of trouble in the wizarding world in the past two years. Azkaban had been attacked once, and Sirius Black escaped prison some time ago.
As far as Dawlish knew, Hogwarts had not been peaceful in the past two years either.
He signalled to his wife to be careful, then pulled out his wand and hid it in his trench coat, before opening the door as if nothing were amiss.
Unexpectedly, it was a blonde young woman in her twenties who knocked on the door. She was very pretty.
"Hello, sorry to bother you,"
Andy said with a helpless expression on his face and a slightly apologetic tone. "The thing is... I'm also a resident here, and I go to Cambridge University. We have a survey assignment for the summer holidays, and we need to interview the neighbours..."
At this point, Andy slowed down his tone, "I hope it's not too much of an intrusion, but can I ask you a few questions?"
Dawlish looked back at his wife.
Although they lived in a Muggle neighbourhood, he and his wife both worked at the Ministry of Magic and had no social contact with Muggles.
As for summer homework...
Dawlish was very familiar with it!
He had been a good student at Hogwarts and had received excellent grades in all of his end-of-year exams.
He had done summer homework!
It was just that... Muggle summer homework was a bit strange, wasn't it?
Huh? I feel dizzy...
Just as Dawlish turned around, Andy quickly took out his wand and decisively cast the stunning spell.
Bang!
Dawlish fell to the ground and lost consciousness.
His wife, in a panic, quickly got up and was then hit by another stunning spell, following in Dawlish's footsteps.
Done!
Andy quickly dashed into the house and closed the door behind him.
"So this is an elite Auror... so weak!"
Andy waved his wand, casting another stunning spell on Dawlish's wife to ensure that she would not wake up for the next 24 hours, and then turned the chair next to him into a rope and bound her up.
As for Dawlish...
"Imperio!"
Andy muttered the incantation quietly, then took out the Truth potion and made Dawlish drink it.
Then tapped his wand lightly.
"Hmm…"
Dawlish slowly opened his eyes, his eyes a little dazed under the combined control of the Imperius Curse and the Truth Potion.
"What are the Ministry's guard arrangements tonight?" Andy asked as he searched Dawlish's pockets.
"The Ministry's guard arrangement...is...is...I, I don't know!" Dawlish's expression was a little hideous, and he was obviously resisting Andy's control.
Andy's eyebrows twitched slightly.
Not bad!
Although his vigilance was insufficient, his basic training was very good.
Resisting the effects of the Imperius Curse and the Truth Potion can be considered an introductory course for Aurors. This is a basic skill that every Auror must master.
"Hmm..." Andy pondered for a moment.
The Cruciatus Curse can break Dawlish's will to resist, but Andy doesn't intend to do that.
It's fine to use Dawlish's identity to infiltrate the Ministry of Magic, but torturing people with the Cruciatus Curse... Andy isn't that deranged.
Huh? What's this?
Andy searched Dawlish's inside pocket and found a paper document folded up.
Opening it...
"Not bad. Just a little too careless, not clever enough, and a bit arrogant," Andy commented lightly.
Carrying the Ministry of Magic's guard arrangement with him, Mr. Dawlish was obviously very confident in his own strength.
"I kind of helped you out!"
Andy muttered to himself. "This time I'll leave you alone, but if it was a real Death Eater, not only would you be dead, but the Ministry of Magic would also suffer heavy losses."
"Learn from this lesson and be more careful next time!"
As he spoke, Andy cast a stunning spell on Dawlish and tied him up with a rope.
After a moment's thought, Andy felt that this might not be enough.
Training resistance for stunning spell was also a basic Auror course.
Although they could not be immune to the effects of the spell, they could make themselves wake up faster.
'Just in time...'
Holding his wand up to his upper pocket, he flicked it slightly, and a small vial flew out of his pocket.
Anaesthetic, this is a Muggle 'potion'.
Andy had asked Hermione for a bottle of anaesthetic to use on Sirius. However, Sirius had spoken too quickly, rendering the potion useless.
Taking out a syringe, Andy injected Dawlish with half a vial of the anaesthetic.
'You can resist the Stunning Spell with your will. Let's try the anaesthetic,'
Leaving Dawlish and his wife in the living room, Andy plucked a lock of Dawlish's hair, mixed it with the polyjuice potion and gulped it down.
Disgusting!
This potion is really a bit anti-human.
In a moment of distortion, Andy transformed into Dawlish's appearance.
Holding the wand and flicking it at his clothes, Andy's clothes turned into a suit exactly like Dawlish's.
Turning around in front of the mirror, Andy nodded with satisfaction. "Not bad!"
Flawless!
He walked up to Dawlish and searched him again, taking all of his belongings and putting them on himself.
Most importantly, he took the Ministry of Magic work ID.
After doing all this, Andy walked over to the fireplace in the living room and grabbed a handful of Floo powder.
He walked into the fireplace and casually scattered the Floo powder.
"Ministry of Magic!"
Boom –
A green ball of flame ignited, and the next second Andy was already in the Atrium of the Ministry of Magic.
The Atrium of the Ministry of Magic is located on the eighth level below ground, and the Department of Mysteries is on the ninth level below ground, so it is very easy to enter the Department of Mysteries from here.
After walking out of the fireplace, Andy looked around.
At this time of day, there weren't many people in the Ministry of Magic. Apart from the employees who had stayed late to finish some work, only the employees on the night shift were still there.
Dawlish was usually a serious person, and this kind of person was easy to imitate. If someone came over to say hello, you just need to say a faint 'good night' in return.
Andy walked into the lift and casually pressed the button for the ninth floor.
"Wait a minute..."
Pop!
Someone stopped the closing lift door. "Good evening! Are you on the night shift?"
The person was a pink-haired woman in her twenties. Andy didn't know her, but she seemed to know Dawlish very well.
"Yes!" Andy said indifferently.
"It's been really bad lately!"
The woman with the pink hair complained, and then her hair turned silver-white, "How are your investigations going? I don't mean to pry...well, actually, it's my mother who asked me to ask."
Andy was dumbfounded!
What kind of magic is this that can change the colour of hair...?
And, young lady, can you please put a subject and a predicate in your sentences?
You're not making any sense, how am I supposed to know what you're asking about?
