Chapter 350 - Chapter 350: The Gaunt Family Mansion

"Is it really okay?" Hermione reconfirmed.

When it came to things like taking risks and administering justice, Hermione had always been bold. She was strong-minded and fearless, and even if there was a mountain of swords and fire in front of her, she would still go forward.

But once it touches on lawlessness ... the young witch will hesitate.

"Of course, there is no problem!"

Andy said with certainty, "I've already asked Dad to help me say hello, it must be fine today. Besides, even if someone does look for trouble, we can still use the gold galleons to smooth things over."

Andy Rich Collins was fearless!

Hermione looked at him with a complicated expression.

The matter of being able to use magic outside of school was indeed delightful. But what Andy said made Hermione feel deeply worried.

Has the Ministry of Magic ... been corrupted to this point?

"Using money to smooth things over?" Hermione probed with an uncertain tone.

As soon as Andy heard Hermione's tone of voice, he knew what she was worrying about.

It's just that ...

Is it really okay for you, a second-year and soon-to-be third-year young witch, to care about the political situation of the Ministry of Magic?

For the first time, Andy understood what it meant for the Emperor to not be anxious, but for the Eunuch to be anxious.

"Uh-huh!" Andy shrugged.

Hermione sighed and asked curiously, "What kind of person is the current Minister of Magic?"

"Fudge ah ..."

Andy thought for a moment and said, "Barely a competent person!"

Hermione: "?"

Andy spread his hands and said, "Seriously, before he became Minister of Magic, Fudge was really good. He's a decent person, excellent at his duties, and has a lot of credibility in the magic community."

"If not for that, Fudge wouldn't have had so many supporters, and Dumbledore wouldn't have recommended Fudge to be the Minister of Magic."

Hermione was shocked, "Fudge was recommended by Professor Dumbledore?"

"That's right!"

Andy said, "But after becoming Minister of Magic, Fudge's character changed a lot. Or rather, it was his original nature."

"Greed for power and money ... greed made him stupid."

"Fine!" Hermione was speechless.

In Andy's opinion, Fudge's character was very similar to Yang Guang.

Of course, it was only the character that was similar.

When there was someone on top of their head, they would try to please their superior's preferences. They would put a mask on themselves to make themselves the kind of person that the superior would appreciate the most.

But when they stood at the very pinnacle of power and went from pleasing others to being pleased by others, their nature would gradually be exposed.

"You ..."

Andy looked Hermione up and down, "You don't need to bring any of these tools, you just need to bring your wand. Everything else can be taken care of with magic."

"Okay!"

Hermione nodded, "I'll go pack then."

After saying that, Hermione hurriedly ran back to the bedroom.

Andy sat in the living room and waited for a while. Not long after, he saw Hermione lying on the railing of the first-floor stairs, stretching out half of her body to look at Andy, waving her hand, and saying mysteriously, "Andy, you come to my room."

Andy: "???"

Ah, this...?

Andy could barely control his expression as it happened so suddenly.

Hermione continued, "There's something I want to talk to you about."

Okay!

Andy walked upstairs and followed Hermione into her bedroom and asked curiously, "What's so mysterious?"

"It's this!"

Hermione rummaged through a drawer and pulled out a small glass vial, "It's an anaesthetic used by muggles, the effect is to make people numb and unconscious. I've tried it, and it works on wizards too."

Andy took the vial and asked curiously, "Where did you get that?"

Hermione explained, "My parents are both dentists."

Andy thought for a moment and said, "We're just going on an adventure, we probably won't meet any enemies. Besides, even if we did meet one, magic would be more useful than this."

"Well ..."

Andy suddenly pondered for a moment and asked, "By the way, can I have this vial of anaesthetic?"

Andy suddenly thought that after he subdued that prisoner who escaped from Azkaban, he could use the anaesthetic on him to temporarily incapacitate him.

"Sure," Hermione said graciously.

"Thanks!" Andy gleefully put the anaesthetic away.

Hermione took out her headband and tied her hair back, "Alright! I'm ready to go!"

Andy held out his arm, gesturing to Hermione, "Put your hand on me!"

When Hermione placed her hand on Andy's arm, Andy immediately used an Apparition.

Snap!

A second later, Andy and Hermione appeared outside of Little Hangleton Village, which was located in the northern part of England.

"We're here," Andy said.

"Huh-"

Hermione gagged a little and paled a bit, "The Apparition experience was a terrible one."

"It's always like that the first time."

Andy said helplessly, "And I've got it under control pretty consistently ... Are you alright? Do you need to rest for a while?"

"No!" Hermione waved her hand.

Andy sighed and handed Hermione a bottle of water, "Drink some water and rest for a while! We don't know what dangers are waiting ahead of us, you have to keep yourself in good shape, now is not the time to be brave."

After saying that, Andy waved his wand.

The stone turned into a wooden chair, and a few wooden stakes in the distance flew over, which then quickly extended and turned into a two-metre-high gazebo.

"Sit for a while!" Andy said.

"Nice transfiguration."

Hermione sat down as she was told and teased, "If I were Professor McGonagall, I would have given you ten points."

Andy immediately surrendered and said in a complicated tone, "No! You mustn't become like Professor McGonagall ..."

After saying that, Andy even made a face and imitated Professor McGonagall's expression.

Hermione glared at Andy, "If Professor McGonagall finds out, she'll beat you to death!"

After resting for a while, Hermione finally recovered.

"Andy, I'm well-rested," Hermione said with gusto.

Andy gave Hermione a look.

In fact, it would not have been a big problem, but adventuring, it is definitely necessary to keep concentrating all the time.

And now the weather is hot ... uncomfortable added to the heat of the day, this is a double Debuff, so it is definitely necessary to rest for a while.

"Let's go!" Andy said as he got up.

The Gaunt family used to be very rich and distinguished, especially concerned about luxurious ostentation, preferring fancy clothes and gourmet food.

But their fortune had been squandered decades ago, and the last members of the Gaunt family lived in a humble house outside Little Hangleton Village.

About five miles outside of Little Hangleton Village, a dilapidated mansion loomed hidden in the thicket of trees that coiled between two steep slopes.

"This is it."

Andy stood about ten metres outside the bushes and took out his wand and pointed it at the space in front of him.

"No magic protection."

Andy said, "Come on, let's go in!"
