As a matter of fact, Andy did intend to learn dark magic.
This was also a plan that Andy had settled on a long time ago.
The three attributes of [Mind], [Thinking], and [Will] have all reached five points now, and it is certainly good to continue to improve, but what is more important than this is the speed at which ... he gains [Potential Points].
Regardless of what knowledge is learnt, the first one is easy, and then the second one is difficult is the unchanging theorem of the ages.
Andy had previously majored in Charms and Transfiguration.
When he was first learning, the progress was certainly fast. However, when Andy's magic attainments reached a certain level, the rate of progress would naturally slow down.
Enhancing the [Thinking] attribute could certainly accelerate Andy's learning speed, but what was embarrassing was that high-level magic theories were either full of uncertainty or hid great danger.
Even Andy did not dare to try it out.
In terms of attainments in Charms alone, Andy didn't dare to say that he was comparable to wizards of Flitwick and Snape's level, but he thought that it wasn't far off.
But look at it, how many years have they not progressed?
Andy was certainly not ready to give up the study of charms and transfiguration, but Andy could also feel that his speed of acquiring [Potential Points] had slowed down a lot.
Instead of continuing to learn those useless spells, it would be better to open a new way of obtaining [Potential Points].
He opened the system panel and had a look ...
Hogwarts didn't have an alchemy class, and Divination wasn't available until the third year. Self-study was certainly possible, but that was obviously not as convenient as having a teacher to teach.
So dark magic became Andy's only option at the moment.
The most important thing was that dark magic was powerful, and its practical combat effect was much more strong than white magic.
The five points of [Will] attribute were also enough to support Andy in learning dark magic.
Andy calculated that if things went well, he would be able to raise his [Dark Magic] attribute to four points before the second-year holiday.
That would also be enough!
Who doesn't like to cast on Killing Curse for fun?
Thinking so, Andy made his way to the first floor of the castle - Professor McGonagall's office was on this floor.
Thump!
Andy knocked on the door.
"Come in!"
Andy pushed open the door, "Professor McGonagall, are you looking for me?"
"Yes!"
Professor McGonagall nodded, her mood was obviously very good, and her tone was also very amiable, "Mr Collins, I have to say, your luck is not too bad ..."
Professor McGonagall playfully held her words for a while before continuing, "Three days from now, there will be a storm in the Scottish Highlands."
Andy froze at her words!
What do you mean by Scottish Highlands?
Oh~ Hogwarts is in the Scottish Highlands ...
"Is it? That's great!" Andy was very excited, almost in tears.
God knows exactly how much time Andy had waited for this storm.
During this time, every sunrise and sunset, Andy had to point the tip of his wand at his heart and recite Amato Animo Animato Animagus under his breath! Twice a day, without fail.
Because once there was one less time, then all the previous work was all for naught, and everything had to be done all over again.
Andy had wanted to give up a few times, but after persisting for so long, Andy wasn't willing to give up so easily.
Just waiting day after day, Andy finally persisted.
"Of course it's true!"
Professor McGonagall laughed, "The rainy season in the British Isles is between September and February, and it's already April ... so that's why I said, you're lucky."
Andy felt the same way.
He had thought that he would have to wait until September this year for a storm.
"Then it's a deal!"
Professor McGonagall said, "In three days ... that's Tuesday night, at seven o'clock in the evening, you come to see me in my office."
"The Ministry of Magic predicts that the storm will come after eight o'clock at night. But they're never accurate, so we'll have to prepare early."
"Mr Collins, although I have great confidence in you, the Animagus Transformation is very dangerous, and you must complete it under my watch."
In fact, Professor McGonagall was worried that Andy would hastily complete the transfiguration alone just to hide his Animagus form.
The Ministry of Magic stipulated that Animagus must be registered, otherwise it was an illegal Animagus transfiguration.
But if Animagus lost their concealment, the magic spell's usefulness was cut down by as much as nine layers.
And Andy was another young wizard who sought power.
Andy quickly assured, "Of course, Professor! I won't complete the transfiguration alone."
"And, thank you for your guidance."
In fact, Andy treasured his little life.
To have Professor McGonagall watching over him, Andy was naturally more than happy to do so.
"Right, Professor."
Andy suddenly asked, "Would you mind having one more person watching from the side when the time comes?"
Professor McGonagall smiled at his words, "Are you referring to Miss Granger? But that's not a question that you should ask me, as long as you don't mind."
"Thank you, Professor," Andy said.
Professor McGonagall nodded and said, "Alright! In the next two days, read more books on Transfiguration and prepare yourself for the Transformation."
"Yes!"
Andy said, "Professor, then I'll go prepare."
Leaving Professor McGonagall's office, the joy on Andy's face could no longer be concealed.
After several months of waiting, now the bitter-sweetness had finally come.
Andy decided to relax for two days to prepare for the Animagus Transformation three days later.
'I wonder what form my Animagus will be, will it be the same as the Patronus?'
While thinking, Andy sighed.
Look at Professor McGonagall's attitude, and then look at Professor Snape's attitude!
Everyone thinks that Snape is unlikeable, do you think he's been wronged?
Not wronged at all!
Professor McGonagall is the model professor at Hogwarts!
After walking to the Ravenclaw common room, Andy finally saw Hermione in the Ravenclaw's library.
It was less crowded and there was no Madam Pince, so the young witch enjoyed reading here.
"Hi! Hermione." Andy sat down across from Hermione.
"You're back?"
Hermione asked curiously, "Didn't you go to Professor Snape for a duel? How was it, which one of you won?"
"Of course, I won!"
Andy raised his eyebrows and pretended to be dissatisfied, "Do you still need to ask about this kind of thing? Just based on my strength, the winner was already decided long before the duel!"
Hermione blankly glanced at Andy without a smile.
"By the way, I have good news for you."
Andy said, "Professor McGonagall just looked for me, she told me that there will be a storm in three days."
Hermione was pleasantly surprised at this, "That means you can finish the Animagus Transformation?"
"Mm-hm!"
Andy asked smugly, 'Wanna see?'
"Sure!"
Hermione looked at Andy and asked rhetorically, "Aren't you going to invite me?"
Andy spread his hands, "I'm already here, aren't I!"
