Hermione nodded her head as she listened.
It was true that Voldemort couldn't have too many men, but who was that black-robed man?
With that thought in mind, Hermione asked the same thing, "Andy, who do you think that black-robed man could be?"
"Don't rush, listen to me."
Andy said without haste, "With Voldemort's purpose out of the picture, let's talk about Dumbledore."
"Dumbledore's purpose is also simple, he wants Snape's to gain Voldemort's trust, but doesn't want Voldemort to be resurrected too early ..."
"So the question is, how is Snape going to gain the trust of both sides at the same time?"
Hermione didn't quite understand what Andy meant at first, what did it mean to gain the trust of both sides at the same time?
Didn't Snape just need to gain Voldemort's trust?
But Hermione was Hermione after all, and the thought of Snape's identity dawned on the young witch.
Snape wasn't just an undercover agent sent by Dumbledore to Voldemort, he was also an undercover agent sent by Voldemort to Dumbledore - he was a double agent.
He had to gain Voldemort's trust, and at the same time convince Voldemort that Dumbledore trusted him.
"Cool!" Hermione gave Professor Snape a nod.
Andy: "?"
The young witch said excitedly, "Professor Snape turned out to be a double agent! If we make this story into a film, I'm sure Professor Snape will be the main character in the story."
Nope! The main character is Harry Potter.
The young witch added, "If we were to adapt Professor Snape's love story as well, I'm sure he would be the most popular film and television character of all time."
Nope! Snape's love is dead.
"Let's get down to business!" Andy said with a blank face.
"Oh! Go On." Hermione pouted.
Andy raised an eyebrow, "I kind of don't want to talk."
"Ahem!"
"Fine! Let's keep talking."
Andy analysed, "For Snape, all he has to do is serve Voldemort to the best of his ability, and naturally he can gain Voldemort's trust."
"The hard part is how he's going to convince Voldemort that Dumbledore doesn't suspect him."
Hermione nodded with a serious look on her face, "Exactly! He's already made his move twice, and this time it was at Hogwarts. So ... what do you think he'll do?"
Andy suddenly said, "Do you remember last term, when Snape was inexplicably injured?"
"We analysed it at the time, and there was no way Voldemort could hurt Snape because Snape is the only one he currently has under his command."
Hermione chimed in, "So ... someone else hurt him!"
Andy laughed, "I couldn't figure it out, but the appearance of the black-robed man made me guess Snape's plan ... Snape has to help Voldemort with his tasks and clear his name as well, so the best way to do it is to find another person!"
Or control someone with an Imperius Curse!
If Snape was injured last time to capture someone to be his stand-in, then it would make complete sense.
"He got a double!" The realisation dawned on Hermione.
In that case, everything could be connected.
"But ..."
Hermione frowned, "Professor Snape's mission has failed yet again, will Voldemort really trust him any more?"
Andy spread his hands, "That's why Headmaster Dumbledore took matters into his own hands! For Voldemort, this failure was inevitable."
"They just need to find a backstabber ahead of time to keep Snape from being suspected by Voldemort."
"As for Voldemort's trust ... honestly, Snape only needs to play a major role in Voldemort's official resurrection, and Voldemort will naturally treat him as his confidant."
Hermione nodded slightly.
After listening to Andy's statement, Hermione had a preliminary understanding of the current situation.
A backstabber.
Dumbledore personally taking action.
Snape's stand-in.
They were doing all of this to make Snape gain Voldemort's trust so that they could prepare for actually defeating Voldemort in the future.
"I didn't realise someone who had lost their powers could cause so much trouble." Hermione sighed.
Andy also had a bit of a headache when he heard that.
The most troublesome point of Voldemort was undoubtedly his Horcruxes. As long as a Horcrux still existed in this world, Voldemort would never be killed.
And the key person to find the Horcrux is Harry Potter, the main character in the story.
Dumbledore's attempts to test Harry, as well as his training of him, were all aimed at allowing Harry to go through with this.
"Immortality is indeed a pain in the arse!"
Andy spat, "Oh! That's a misstatement. Voldemort's body is destroyed, it is his soul that's immortal."
Hermione stopped thinking about it as she asked, "So Dumbledore should have confronted Voldemort by now, right?"
"I suppose!" Andy pondered.
Andy didn't know how Dumbledore had planned it, but since Snape's side had already acted, it meant that Voldemort's resurrection plan had already begun as well.
"Do you think, Snape will make a second move against Harry?" Andy asked suddenly.
Hermione flinched, "But then Professor Snape's identity would be completely exposed. And this is Hogwarts Castle, no one can Apparate here."
Andy shrugged and laughed, "I guess so! Well, it's getting late, let's go back and rest!"
"Hm!" Hermione responded.
***
Boom-
There was a loud bang, fire erupted, and a big cauldron boiling with magic potion was instantly blown to smithereens.
"Who?"
The man possessed by Voldemort snapped back.
When he saw the figure standing in the moonlight, the man gritted his teeth and hissed, "Dumbledore, Dumbledore, Dumbledore! You've come to ruin my plans again!"
Under the moonlight, Dumbledore was dressed in an exquisite silver and white wizarding robe, he looked at Voldemort quietly and said in a leisurely tone, "Kicking me out of Hogwarts is indeed a good idea, but not everyone among the school board is in favour of this!"
"Tom! Looks like you'll be spending some time in the Albanian forest."
Voldemort didn't think much of it when he heard Dumbledore's words, but Lucius, who was standing behind Voldemort, was trembling with mixed emotions.
The old man had sold him out!
Voldemort obviously also noticed how out of sorts Lucius was, and he gave Lucius a vicious look.
"Lord, My Lord ..." The mask on his face hid Lucius' panic, but his trembling voice undoubtedly proved one thing.
Dumbledore had discovered all this because Lucius had been careless in his actions, allowing Dumbledore to catch his breath.
Dumbledore's inner thoughts were slightly more complex.
When he had told the truth in the past, Voldemort had always felt that he was lying to him.
But when Dumbledore told a lie this time, Voldemort believed it.
That's not the right reaction, is it?
