Chapter 307 - Chapter 307: The Place Where the Werewolf Story Takes Place

At lunchtime, the grandparents returned and Andy introduced them to Hermione. Helen had met Hermione a long time ago, so there was no need for Andy to make a special introduction.

After eating lunch, Andy, Hermione and Isabel put on their thick fur coats and strolled around the valley.

The houses in Godric's Valley had great wizard characteristics, although they looked a little old on the outside, they had their own mysterious atmosphere of magic.

Andy and Isabel had seen a lot and were somewhat used to it. However, Hermione had always lived in the city and had never even been to a muggle village, so naturally she had never seen a wizard's village.

"Honestly, if I were the only one, I wouldn't really dare to wander around this village."

Hermione said excitedly as she looked around, admiring the scenery of the village, "It's like a witch village from a story, with muggles, wizards, and a bunch of evil werewolves and vampires living in it."

"Those werewolves and vampires keep trying to hurt the villagers, but the wizards are secretly protecting them from harm."

"You know, there are a lot of rumours like that in the Muggle community."

Andy raised an eyebrow, wasn't this just a werewolf-killing game?

It was obvious that Hermione was very excited.

The village where the wizards lived did have a mysterious undertone to it; as if there were secrets and stories hidden everywhere. Randomly meeting a passer-by would give off a mysterious aura of a 'hidden character'.

It had snowed heavily a few days ago, but the streets of the village were swept clean.

"Ahead is the village square," Andy said as he pointed ahead.

Hermione automatically brainstormed, "In Muggle stories, if a werewolf in the village harms the villagers, the next morning, they gather in the square and the village chief will preside over the investigation of the case."

Andy: "..."

From this perspective, this village is indeed quite mysterious and full of stories.

Actually, Andy could understand Hermione's excitement.

Because Andy was also a muggle in his previous life, looking at it from a muggle's perspective, and then bringing some folklore into it, this village was naturally filled with a mysterious magical atmosphere.

It was very immersive!

Isabel tutted, "Hermione, you muggles have such strange legends! This is a village where wizards gather, so werewolves wouldn't dare come here to cause trouble."

Andy glanced at Isabel, you're the one who doesn't fit in.

"This village does have a lot of stories, the most famous incident in recent decades would be the murder of Harry's parents by Dark Lord."

Andy said, "The monument in the middle of the square was built to commemorate that event."

As they spoke, the three of them had already walked to the centre of the square.

Possibly sensing the aura of magic, the monument automatically turned into a statue of three people: a man with dishevelled hair and glasses; a woman with long hair and a beautiful, kind appearance; and a baby boy sitting in his mother's arms.

Hermione looked at the statues and asked in a somewhat low tone, "Are they the Potter family?"

"Hm!"

Andy nodded, "Because of their sacrifices, the magic world is at peace now."

"Let's go!"

After introducing the monument, Andy continued, "Let's go to the shop to sit and warm up before we continue our stroll!"

There were a few shops around the square, a post office, a pub, and a small church.

Hermione's eyes lit up at the sight of the pub.

Andy snapped, "I know, in Muggle stories, the village pub is a place with stories too. There were beautiful witches, strong hunters, evil dark wizards, and werewolves in hiding. Oh, and of course the ordinary villagers who would drink and brag about their past."

"How do you know?" Hermione's eyes widened, and she looked at Andy with a surprised expression, "Is that how it's rumoured in your wizarding world?"

Andy spread his hands and said, "Of course not! But as far as I know, some dark wizards do engage in some secret dealings in pubs."

Isabel's eyes lit up, "Andy, are we going to sit in the pub?"

"What are you thinking!"

Andy said in a bad mood, "If I take you in, Mum would beat me to death. Besides, even if we wanted to go, the boss wouldn't let us in."

"Let's go to the teahouse!"

The teahouse was decorated in a very cosy manner, Andy's trio found a seat by the window and ordered three cups of hot chocolate and a few plates of pastries.

"Ha..."

Isabel took a large sip and let out a long sigh, "It's much warmer."

Hermione asked curiously, "Andy, what do wizards usually do?"

As far as Hermione remembered, before she was eleven she believed that wizards usually lived in castles or old wooden houses and did some very evil magical experiments inside.

After coming to Hogwarts, though, Hermione's impression of wizards changed drastically.

She felt as if there was no difference between wizards and muggles.

But after coming to Godric's Hollow, Hermione felt that the identity of wizards was once again mysterious.

"There are those who do everything."

Andy introduced, "Ordinary wizards, well ... will probably go to work normally! And some wizards who have a passion for magic, will go on adventures all over the world, explore some ancient ruins, and also do some magic experiments."

"There are many such wizards in this village, and such wizards are usually unapproachable and won't let outsiders into their houses."

Hermione nodded.

Along the way on the tour, Hermione also met some of the wizards who lived here.

Some of the wizards were dressed normally, but others looked very unkempt; as if they hadn't bathed or changed their clothes in years.

"You know Azkaban, right?"

Andy continued, "It used to be a dark wizard's castle where he would seize passing ships and use the muggles on board to experiment with evil dark magic."

"In the wizarding world, dark wizards are the most zealous bunch when it comes to magic. They wouldn't be dark wizards if they weren't addicted to dark magic."

"That's why dark wizards are usually extremely dangerous."

"In fact, many powerful dark wizards have little fame, they study dark magic in secret, and occasionally trade some magical materials in the black market, or trade with other dark wizards."

"As for those dark wizards ... who come out to make trouble, to be honest, they are just poor people in the magic world, and their strength is also very weak."

Hermione listened intently and got an initial understanding of the wizarding world.

Sure enough, this was supposed to be the true face of the magic world!

Although it was dangerous, it had an air of mystery that made people want to find out more. Even if it was just an ordinary story, it attracted people to explore the truth of it.

"Where are we going in a little while?"

Speaking of this, Hermione suddenly lowered her voice and whispered, "Andy, I want to visit the cemetery. Maybe there will be some clues there for us to discover ... I mean, maybe some of the names will match up with the names in the book."
