Chapter 298 - Chapter 298: Casting magic? That's just a matter of thinking

"Snap!"

Andy performed a short-range Apparition.

For this Apparition, Andy didn't make the action of 'turning around', but rather imagined that he was turning around the moment he cast the spell.

"It's feasible!" Andy's face beamed with joy.

The mind controls magic ... When the mind is strong, casting magic only requires 'thinking' about it.

It should be said that the magic in the 'Harry Potter' world looked as if the upper limit was not high, but the wide range of fields involved in simple spells was also by no means something that other worlds could compare to.

Most importantly, wizards possessed magic power.

Andy thought of the wizards in the Marvel films, the ones, who were literally in debt. Although the upper limit of magic was extremely high, the origin of the power was not even their own, and it was very risky to use it.

At this point, Andy didn't ask for more.

"Isa-" Andy shouted.

"Coming coming!" The little lass was obedient and immediately trotted over without stopping after hearing Andy's voice.

"When I finish my magic practice, I'll take you to buy snacks."

Andy directly made a condition, "Issa, I need you to do me a small favour."

Isabel was so happy that her teeth were visible, and she hurriedly said, "I guarantee to complete the task! Say it, Andy, what do you want me to do?"

Andy said, "In a moment, I will cast the Apparition spell twice, you help me calculate how much time it will take to cast the spell twice."

"OK!" Isabel nodded solemnly.

"I'll start!"

After saying that, Andy cast Apparition twice in the yard, the first time doing the 'turn around' action, and the second time he used imagination instead of turning around.

"Issa?" Andy turned his head to look at the little lass.

Isabel: "..."

The little girl stiffened, her face looked embarrassed, and she stammered, "Andy, you cast the spell so fast, I didn't even have time to count the seconds. You slow down a bit and try again."

"Erm ..."

Andy changed his question, "The two Apparition, which one was faster, you must have noticed it, right?"

"The second time was faster!" Isabel said, in a hurry.

"How fast?" Andy pursued.

Isabelle opened her mouth, but it was a pity that with the barren vocabulary in her brain, she could not think of a suitable adjective.

Andy suddenly felt that he should just send the girl to a Muggle primary school.

Is it appropriate to stay at home until the age of eleven?

"Super fast!" Isabel said with an exaggerated expression.

"Right!"

Andy thought of an idea, "Isaa, go and get the camera out, when I cast a spell in a while, you take a picture of me."

The photos in the magic world can move.

"Understood!" The little girl 'stomped' and ran back to the house to get the camera.

After taking the photo, Andy temporarily ended the practice. Before the photos were washed out, Andy couldn't get the experimental data at all.

However, one thing was confirmed from Isabel's words, imagining the movement of turning in the brain could indeed increase the casting speed of the Apparition.

'The next step is to study how to enter the space passage quickly.' Andy thought silently in his heart.

Regarding the space field, Andy did not study it deeply, and the magic world did not have much magic in the space field.

'So it's better to start with the mind!'

I'm going there, I'm turning around, I'm accelerating into the spatial passage ...

A triple Apparition mental combo?

To be honest, just imagining those three points in the mind actually took a bit of time. Moreover, while imagining so many steps, Andy also needed to concentrate deeply.

In this way, not to mention casting magic quickly, Andy couldn't even spare the energy to pay attention to his enemies.

Although it is possible to adapt to these with repeated practice, but 'imagining' too many steps is likewise a huge trouble.

In contrast, if one was able to decipher the mysteries of the space field, it would be easier to execute the manoeuvres and casting Apparition would be smoother as well.

'I can only look for it in the forbidden book section.' Andy thought mentally.

Isabel put the camera back and then ran to the yard. She looked at Andy and asked, "Andy, do you still want to practice magic?"

Andy laughed gently at her words, waved towards the little girl and said helplessly, "Let's go!"

"Hey!" Isabel ran over and held Andy's hand.

On holiday, of course, it was more important to spend time with the family.

There were several shops in the square of Godric Valley, Andy brought Isabel to buy some sweets and snacks.

"Issa, have you ever eaten muggle snacks?" Andy asked.

"Had them!"

Isabel nodded, "Hermione sent me some, they taste pretty good."

Andy waved, "How about I take you on a stroll to the other side of the village?"

Godric's Hollow is a semi-wizarding gathering place, and there were quite a few muggles living here in addition to wizards.

The little lass was a little excited, "Really? Grandma and Mum usually forbid me to go over there to play."

"I'll take you there."

After saying that, Andy seriously reminded, "But when you're by yourself, you absolutely can't go to the muggle's village."

Isabel nodded her head, seemingly understanding, and asked, "I know! But ... Andy, are muggles really that scary? I've seen muggles too, I thought they didn't know any magic?"

Andy said lightly, "It's precisely because they don't know magic that they're scary. Jealousy will destroy one's sanity."

Seeing that Isabel seemed to understand, Andy laughed, "You'll understand later."

The Muggle's village was not in the same place as the wizard's village, and it was nearly a kilometre or so away from this side.

Andy brought Isabel out and used Apparition directly.

"Ugh--"

Isabel's expression was bitter, "This feeling is too awful! Andy, have you been practising this magic for the past few days?"

"Is it very, very unbearable?" Andy asked with concern.

"Fortunately, it's bearable," Isabel said.

Andy raised his eyebrows and said, "It's better to walk on the way back!"

The little girl looked back and said with a bitter expression, "No! Let's just use magic, it's easier."

Andy smiled gently at that.

The muggle's village was populated by old people, and in the freezing cold, there wasn't a single person outside.

Andy found a shop and took Isabel to buy a number of snacks - using pounds.

"Kids ..."

The shopkeeper seemed to be trying to strike up a conversation when Andy's arm lifted slightly, the tip of his wand peeked out of the cuff and the Confundus Charm was instantly activated.

As they walked out of the shop with the bag of snacks, Isabel looked up at Andy, "Andy, you just used magic, didn't you?"

"Don't tell anyone, I'll bring you over next time," Andy whispered.

"Andy, then we have a deal," Isabel said joyfully.

Taking the little girl to a deserted alley, Andy once again used Apparition and returned to the yard of his grandfather's house.

"Go inside and play!" Andy laughed.

After waiting for Isabel to go back to the house, Andy carefully recalled the feeling he felt when he brought someone along by using an Apparition.
