What was missing in the ghost?
This was not the first time Andy had pondered this question.
The Ghost possessed magic power but was unable to use magic.
This, again, contradicted the idea that 'the mind controls magic'.
Because ghosts had mind power, they weren't a fixed program but had feelings like living people.
So the ghost must be missing something fundamental.
Andy thought for a moment and finally shook his head, saying: "Other than life, I really can't think of anything else that ghosts are missing. Well ... it can't be the body, right?"
"Yes!" Dumbledore nodded slightly.
"People who have been under an Imperius Curse, can't control their bodies, but their body still can use magic."
"Collins ... do you think it's the soul that's using magic, or the body?"
Ah, this...?
Andy froze.
According to the characteristics of ghosts, and the theory of the Imperius Curse ... surprisingly, it's our bodies that are using magic?
But wouldn't that prove the idea of 'mind controlling magic' wrong?
But the existence of Obscurus, as well as Andy's Patronus Charm, could prove that this point of view was correct. Not only could the mind control magic power, but it could also fuse with it.
Andy was a bit dumbfounded.
Which part of the process had gone wrong?
"Headmaster~"
Andy said slightly helplessly, "Don't play with me, if there's anything you have to say, you might as well just say it!"
Dumbledore slowly shook his head and smiled faintly, "It's a very interesting question, Collins. Believe me, if you hear the answer out of my mouth, you will be very disappointed."
Andy: "..."
Disappointed or not, I don't know.
But I do know I'm going to lose sleep tonight.
Andy stopped talking.
The conversation had got so far that there wasn't really much left to talk about on either side.
Dumbledore wanted to take down Voldemort, he had to train Harry. Because Harry was also Voldemort's Horcrux, only he could find the location of all the Horcruxes.
As long as all the Horcruxes are destroyed, Voldemort will not be that difficult ...
Right! Even after destroying all the Horcruxes, trying to deal with Voldemort is not something an ordinary wizard can do.
During the last wizard war, if anyone could defeat Voldemort once ... even just once, Voldemort's intimidation would not be as great of a threat as it is now.
--Nobody in the wizarding world dares to mention his name.
So training Harry became essential, it was something that Dumbledore had to do.
And Andy also expressed his own demands.
A pure wizard.
Andy could understand Dumbledore's approach, but it did not mean that there were no complaints.
This is called standpoint, also called class difference.
It was like ordinary people and the rich second generation.
Ordinary people can understand that the rich second generation is enjoying the shade of their father's generation - people have money, and that is the result of the struggle of their ancestors.
But understanding is not the same as having no complaints.
Once there is an opportunity, they will not hesitate to pull the other party down, and then step on them a few times - and all of this has nothing to do with hatred.
The understanding was the most useless sentiment when two people had different standpoints.
Andy waved his wand and lifted the Imperturbable Charm on Hermione.
The young witch glared at Andy in exasperation.
Hermione was curious in her heart about the conversation between Andy and Dumbledore. However, Hermione also knew in her heart that since Andy had used the Imperturbable Charm, he would definitely not tell her about it.
"Professor Dumbledore, have you made a decision?" Hermione asked impatiently.
More than those secrets, she wanted to know how to solve the crisis at hand.
It is a matter of everyone's safety at Hogwarts.
"Of course!"
Andy laughed, "The Headmaster already has a plan, all we need to do next is to attend classes and live normally."
"Really?" Hermione looked at Andy suspiciously and then at Dumbledore, always feeling that something was wrong.
"Of course it's true!"
Andy said, "Could the Headmaster still lie to us?"
Andy pulled back his chair and stood up, saying, "Headmaster, Hermione and I will go back first, so I won't bother you with your work."
After saying this, Andy signalled Hermione and the two of them left the Headmaster's office together.
"It always feels like something is off somewhere ..."
Hermione glanced at Andy, "Ever since you and Professor Dumbledore finished whispering, I've had a feeling that Professor Dumbledore is out of sorts."
"That's for sure, we talked about some secrets," Andy said.
"Fine!" Hermione stopped pressing, "Are you going back to your dormitory?"
"It's still early, I want to go to the Room of Requirement and practice my magic for a while," Andy said.
Hermione mused for a moment, "I will join you then!"
After the showdown with Dumbledore, Andy was in a much better mood, or at least not as stressed as before.
Dealing with Voldemort is inevitable, and Andy doesn't intend to ruin Dumbledore's plan. Dumbledore wanted to train Harry, so let him train him.
If the plan succeeded, everyone would be happy.
Even if the plan failed, Andy could still transfer to another school!
It's not like the earth won't spin if you leave Hogwarts.
***
The magic practice room of the Room of Requirement.
Andy casually practised a few magic spells and guided Hermione a few times, and then sat on the floor with his knees crossed, thinking back to the question that Dumbledore had asked.
What is missing in Ghost?
'Could it be that ghosts don't have all their seven emotions and six desires?' Andy had an odd look on his face.
If the theory from the Chinese side was used to explain, ghosts did not have seven spirits.
There were many theories of the seven spirits, and different eras and different schools of thought had different explanations for the seven spirits.
But one thing is the same.
The seven spirits are unique to the physical body, and after a person dies, the seven spirits dissipate with them.
"Andy, what are you thinking about?"
Hermione looked at Andy suspiciously, "Still thinking about the conversation with Professor Dumbledore?"
"Not that ..."
Andy said, "I was thinking about ghosts. What do you think ghosts are missing compared to the living?"
"Ghosts don't have bodies!" Hermione said bluntly.
Andy rolled his eyes, wasn't that oblivious.
"What else could it be?" Hermione asked rhetorically.
Andy: "..."
Yeah, what else could it be?
"Hermione, do you know about the Imperius Curse?" Andy asked.
"The Imperius Curse is one of the three Unforgivable Curses, a person who has been struck by the Imperius Curse will be completely controlled by the caster, but strong willpower can resist the Imperius Curse ..." Ms Know-It-All was officially on the line, reciting the information on the Imperius Curse in its entirety.
Andy asked with a distressed face, "The person who has been struck by the Imperius Curse can't control his body, but he can still use magic, why do you think it's possible?"
"Is it the soul that is wielding magic, or is it the body that is wielding magic?"
Andy had a feeling.
As long as he solved the answer to this question, he personally could truly understand the role of the soul.
