Disappointed?
It would be a lie to say otherwise!
But with things as they were, Andy could only accept Professor Flitwick's point of view - white magic and dark magic were different in their manifestations.
Actually, when he thought about it, the fat cat Patronus was pretty good.
At least it was cute!
When Andy returned to his seat, Hermione immediately placed her books up to block Professor Flitwick's gaze and asked in a low voice, "Andy, how did Professor Flitwick punish you ... deduction of points or detention?"
Andy: "..."
Can't you expect anything good to happen to me?
"It can't be expulsion, right?" Seeing that Andy didn't say anything, Hermione immediately gloated and added a sentence.
Of course, Hermione knew that expulsion was impossible.
"No, sorry to disappoint you."
Andy turned his head to look at Hermione and said with a wooden face, "No points were deducted and there was no detention. More than that, Professor Flitwick was pleased that I tidied up Lockhart's mess."
Hermione glanced up quietly at Professor Flitwick.
It couldn't be, right?
Professor Flitwick would be happy about something like that?
Andy grumbled, "We're not the only ones who hate Lockhart, even the professors have been annoyed with him for a long time."
"No fun!" Hermione sat back.
Andy continued, "I also discussed the Patronus Charm with Professor Flitwick, and he said he would help me publish my paper in The Future of Charms."
"Really?"
Hermione said with a happy face, "Andy, congratulations."
"Thanks!" Andy laughed.
Throughout the entire Charms class, Professor Flitwick was a bit distracted - his heart had long been fascinated by Andy's Patronus Charm.
The success of the Patronus Charm was tantamount to announcing to the entire magic world that the fusion of mind and magic power was the right path.
Although it was difficult.
But Andy did succeed.
When class ended, Professor Flitwick purposely kept Andy behind, and he recommended several books to Andy.
"Mr Collins, I will help you complete your dissertation during this time. If there's anything you're not sure about, you can always come to my office to find me."
Professor Flitwick said, "There are a lot of relevant books on Obscurus in the restricted book section, you can also ask me for a restricted book section slip if you need it."
This was a real surprise.
Andy quickly said, "Thank you so much, Professor."
This semester, Andy had been prepared to go to the restricted book section to read books.
It was just that during this period of time when the academic year just started, there were just too many books for Andy to read.
The Chinese magic books, the magic books in the Headmaster's office, and now translating the books and manuscripts in the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets.
Andy hated that he could not split into three people.
Andy sometimes wondered why there was no Shadow Clone spell in the magic world.
"Well, it's getting late, let's go to the Great Hall for lunch!" Professor Flitwick laughed.
"Bye Professor!" Andy said.
***
Colin Creevey was very efficient.
As soon as he arrived at the great hall the next morning, Andy received the developed photos from Colin.
It had to be said that this kid was really good at taking pictures.
In the photo, Malfoy and his two sidekicks were carrying Lockhart, surrounded by a group of giggling little wizards.
It was obvious that everyone seemed to be laughing at the unconscious Lockhart.
On top of that, the photo showed Lockhart looking wretched.
"Thanks, that's a great shot." Andy laughed.
Colin looked as if he was a little shy and said happily, "It's good that you're satisfied, if there's anything else you need me to take pictures of, remember to contact me anytime."
"Thanks!" Andy said gratefully again.
Colin smiled nervously and dashed back to the Gryffindor long table in a breeze.
Hermione glanced at the photo in Andy's hand and asked curiously, "Andy, what are you going to do next? Send the photo to the Daily Prophet?"
Andy nodded and said, "Of course! I know a very famous reporter."
In terms of blackening Lockhart, Andy believed that Rita Skeeter was the most professional one. This photo was just a pitch, if Rita Skeeter was interested, Andy believed that she would write back to him.
"Go! Let's go to the library!"
The Ravenclaw only had one Herbology class in the morning, and Andy had plenty of time to think about what to write in this letter.
Laying the parchment out on the tabletop, Andy picked up his quill and dipped it in the ink.
Dear Mrs Rita Skeeter:
Hello, I'm a second-year wizard at Hogwarts, and Ashia Collins is my aunt, also, I'm a fan of yours and have read all the articles you've written.
--That was really wonderful!
I'm sure this photo is of great interest to you.
Yes, Gilderoy Lockhart is our Defence Against the Dark Arts class professor, he's very famous and has written many wonderful books.
But sadly, his magic abilities are only a little better than a Squib...
Andy's writing thoughts flowed like a fountain, and he put Lockhart's performance in this period of time into the letter with added vigour.
Not only that; Andy also said that Lockhart had deceived everyone and that those books of his that were labelled as 'autobiographies' were actually stories he had compiled or had heard from others.
Andy particularly emphasised the latter.
It had to be said that those 'autobiographies' of Lockhart were really very professional. Even the most knowledgeable person who reads those books would not be able to find any mistakes.
If not for that, it would be impossible for Lockhart to deceive the entire magic world and still obtain the Order of Merlin, Third Class.
At the end of the letter, Andy hesitated for a moment and finally decided to conceal the matter of the truth potion.
Andy only mentioned in the letter that he wanted to expose Lockhart, but was unable to do so, and hoped that Ms Rita Skeeter could help him with an idea.
After writing the letter, Andy carefully checked it again.
"Hermione, what do you think about my letter?" Andy handed the parchment to Hermione.
Hermione gave Andy a blank look, she didn't have much interest in this kind of thing, but she still read it patiently.
"You think Professor Lockhart got his story from someone else?" Hermione said in surprise.
"Of course!"
Andy analysed, "Lockhart is a watered-down wizard, but his books are very professional. Like the book Voyages with Vampires, for example, if he hadn't actually stayed on a ship with vampires, he would never have been able to write those stories."
"So Lockhart definitely stole someone else's exploits."
The young witch spoke with a look of indignation, "That's too despicable! Andy, I'll support you! If you need any help, I will help you."
Hermione had to admit that Andy's analysis made sense.
Lockhart's book was indeed very professional.
Given Lockhart's magic ability, he couldn't have that kind of experience, he just couldn't even make it up.
So the only possibility was that Lockhart had stolen someone else's deeds.
"I'll let you know if there's a need."
Andy got up and said, "I'm going to the Owlery to mail the letter, do you want to go out and relax?"
"Sure!" Hermione readily accepted the offer.
