Chapter 206 - Chapter 206 Searching for Slytherin's Laboratory

Hermione opened her mouth, she wanted to say that this basilisk was a Hogwarts asset.

After all, this basilisk was bred by one of the four founders of Hogwarts, Salazar Slytherin himself, and it had been living in Hogwarts.

It belonged to Hogwarts, no matter which way you looked at it.

But Hermione eventually swallowed the words she wanted to say.

It had to be said that after a year of constant transformation, Hermione was no longer the Hermione she once was.

In this regard, Andy could take a lot of credit.

In fact, Andy was also a little surprised at how Hermione was so quiet this time.

"In this world, there is never anything that rightfully belongs to someone."

Andy felt it would be better to explain, "Even a country has been invaded and occupied by others throughout history."

Andy felt that by killing the basilisk, the basilisk already belonged to him.

Regardless of whether Dumbledore knew where the chamber of secrets was, he could not ask Andy for the basilisk's body.

If he doesn't know, then it's best.

If he knows ... then he will also continue to pretend not to know.

"You're forcing the argument." Hermione thought that Andy had a lot of twisted reasoning, and it always sounded like there was a little bit of truth in it.

"You're still young, you'll understand when you're older."

Andy continued, "Just as if you want to change the wizarding world, you're bound to take away the interests of some people. Maybe you think they're evil, but those things originally belong to them."

After saying that, Andy turned his head to look at the Slytherin head statue.

To be precise, it was the statue's open mouth!

"Time to see the biggest haul of the day," Andy said.

Hermione didn't continue to argue with Andy, she couldn't argue with Andy's twisted reasoning that sounded so reasonable.

Andy took out his wand and carefully walked towards the statue's open mouth.

"Careful!" Andy warned.

"You too." Hermione's voice sounded a little nervous.

Hermione had been uninvolved throughout this chamber of secrets adventure, and it was this exploration of the basilisk's lair that barely had a hint of tension in it.

The young witch found it exciting.

Ta-da-da-da!

The footsteps of Andy and Hermione sounded unusually clear in the empty tunnel.

Andy held his wand up and carefully walked towards the depths of the tunnel with the help of the wand-lighting charm's glow.

The tunnel was long and after walking about fifty metres or so, Andy came to an empty stone room.

Andy waved his wand and several flames blazed around the stone room. With the light emanating from the flames, Andy could see the entire layout of the stone room.

"This should be the lair of the Basilisk," Hermione said.

"Let's split up and look for any hidden doors or anything like that."

Andy instructed, "Be careful!"

"Hmm! You be careful too. Don't think you can be reckless just because you're strong." Hermione responded, raising her wand and beginning to examine the stone room.

Andy circled the stone room and tried the parseltongue as well, and not surprisingly - Andy found nothing.

The stone chamber looked to be the lair of a basilisk, and there was nothing special about it.

"Hermione, did you find anything on your end?" Andy asked.

Hermione shook her head, then thought that Andy might not be able to see well and had to speak, "No, what about your side?"

"Same!" Andy was a little disappointed.

Could it be that all of Salazar Slytherin's research materials had been taken by Voldemort?

This is too much, isn't it?

Although the half corpse of the basilisk had made Andy rich overnight, compared to the Slytherin's research materials, those gold galleons were nothing at all.

The research materials of magic transfiguration, that was Andy's future.

"Andy, I don't think it's a good idea to keep looking like this."

Hermione came over and spoke, "This is the lair of the basilisk ... Andy; if you were to build a laboratory, would you build it in the pet room?"

Of course not!

Andy felt that what Hermione said was somewhat reasonable.

But ...

"Slytherins might not be thinking like normal people."

Andy reminded her, "He seems to be an extreme thinker, even if he's not a madman, he loves snakes ..."

When he said this, Andy suddenly thought of the statue that stood in the Atrium of the Ministry of Magic - all the intelligent magical beings submitted to the feet of the wizard.

Wizards were a very proud group of people who looked down on muggles, other intelligent beings, and even more so, magical creatures.

Even the extremely dangerous dragons were raised like pigs by the wizards. Whenever they needed the magical materials from a dragon, they would kill a dragon.

Speculating along this line of thought, would Slytherin build his lab in a pet room?

Of course not!

Andy re-run his thoughts, "Slytherin should only seem to have two purposes for keeping the Basilisk in the chamber at the moment."

"Firstly, to kill anyone he deems unworthy of learning magic. Second, to guard his lab."

Hermione nodded in agreement, "The pipes that run all through the Chamber of Secrets were only created in the late eighteenth century, and without those pipes, the Chamber would only have one exit."

"On top of that, Lady Grey's words can be used as evidence."

Based on Lady Grey's words, the Slytherin, although he had some differences with the other Big Four, wasn't a person with an evil mindset.

He was simply addicted to dark magic.

"Lady Grey's words can't be trusted!" Andy didn't trust that woman.

If Lady Grey was really Lady Ravenclaw's daughter, Andy felt that there might be something wrong with her intelligence.

Otherwise, how could she have screwed herself over?

"Don't forget that Slytherin left Hogwarts in the end, if it wasn't due to a huge difference in opinions, how could he have left?"

Andy analysed, "Also, the way to open the Chamber of Secrets is Parseltongue. It is only logical that only Slytherin descendants can enter, so why did he leave the basilisk to guard the Chamber of Secrets?"

Andy felt that there were so many things that couldn't be explained.

"But you came in, Andy."

Hermione still stood by her initial judgement, "Maybe the Parseltongue can control the basilisk, but you couldn't."

Andy spread his hands, "I'm a Hogwarts student too, and if a descendant who isn't a Slytherin is going to be killed by a basilisk if he enters the Chamber of Secrets, it means that Slytherin has the intent to kill."

Hermione was silent for a moment at that.

"Andy, we're arguing about all of this to find Slytherin's lab."

Hermione said, "We can analyse both points together."

Andy held up three fingers, "It's three! Slytherin left Hogwarts, he left the basilisk ... maybe just because the basilisk wasn't easy to bring with him."

"Okay, so that's three points!"

Hermione analysed, "If Slytherin left the basilisk behind to guard the lab, then the Lab would be near the basilisk's lair."
