"Don't underestimate me, I've been prepared for this for a while," Hermione said with confidence.
"Huh?" Andy gave Hermione a surprised look.
When had Hermione's Transfiguration got so good?
From the time they met on the train, Andy had spent most of his time at school with Hermione. The two read books together and practised magic together.
Andy knew Hermione's level of magic extremely well.
The little witch was smart and hard-working, and her memory was extremely good. She memorized a lot of knowledge and mastered a large number of spells.
But to be honest, Andy did not see any potential to become a great wizard like Dumbledore in Hermione.
Hermione was a bit inflexible.
She believed too much in what was written in books and considered that to be definitive, and lacked her own contemplation a lot of the time.
Other than that, Hermione is emotionally stable.
In the original trio of protagonists, Harry is your typical impulsive character. He is sensitive, impulsive and volatile, doesn't think things through well, and has extremely violent mood swings.
These seem very much like flaws.
But under some special circumstances, Harry can explode with shocking power.
Especially, Harry is an extremely justice-oriented individual in his own right.
Perhaps to make up for those shortcomings in Harry, Rowling, the original author, made those shortcomings of Harry's precisely the strengths of Hermione's.
In short, Hermione could easily master a spell and use them to their full potential. But she had a hard time blasting her way through a fight like Harry could.
Transfiguration might not require any of that.
But a high level of Transfiguration requires not only a wealth of theoretical knowledge but likewise excellent control, as well as strong mind power.
If you want to transfigure a certain object, you need to at least understand its composition and structure it in your mind.
Otherwise, the thing that is transformed can only be out-of-shape and lifeless.
Hermione's theoretical knowledge was sufficient, but other aspects were much worse.
The young witch smiled smugly at this, "Andy, do you know what the most basic difference between humans and animals is?"
"People can think?" Andy replied tentatively.
"Wrong!"
The corner of Hermione's mouth curled up, "It's that people can use tools!"
Andy: "..."
Andy already understood what Hermione meant.
It was true that her Transfiguration was still a bit short, but if she wanted to fly out of the Chamber of Secrets, she could use a flying broom in addition to using Transfiguration to create an eagle.
"Fine!"
Andy said slightly helplessly, "A flying broom is indeed a good idea."
"Now we can go on an adventure to the Chamber of Secrets together, right?" Hermione asked, looking at Andy.
"Sure!" Andy said spreading his hands.
"Right!"
Andy suddenly said, "Hermione, I've succeeded in improving my patronus charm!"
Happiness is something that needs to be shared with friends as well.
"Oh?"
Hermione looked at Andy in surprise, "What has your Patronus become? Is it as big as a giant? Or can it help you resist vicious spells?"
"It's even more impressive than that." Speaking of the patronus charm, the smugness on Andy's face couldn't be stifled.
In the end, Andy was just an ordinary person.
Even if he indulged in magic, after achieving success, he still couldn't help but want to show off with the people around him.
Post it in a friend circle or something.
"Hurry up!" Hermione urged.
Andy said smugly, "My Patronus can use magic!"
"Use magic?"
Hermione didn't understand what Andy meant for a moment, or was too shocked, "You mean your Patronus can use magic ... is that the kind of using magic I understand?"
Andy blinked and laughed, "It's the kind of using magic, you understand!"
"Andy, show me!" Hermione gathered her books and pulled Andy in the direction of the castle.
"Slow down!" Andy laughed, but there was no hint of wanting to slow down on his steps.
Soon, the two arrived at the abandoned classroom on the fifth floor of the castle.
"Andy!" Hermione urged.
Andy waved his wand and the fat cat patronus emerged from the tip of the wand in a flash.
"You can try attacking it with magic," Andy said.
Hermione nodded, holding her wand in her hand and pointing it at the fat cat patronus, "I'll start then!"
When the words trailed off, Hermione swayed her wand slightly in her hand.
"Petrificus Totalus!"
Bang!
A barrier lit up in front of the fat cat patronus, and Hermione's magic spell was instantly bounced out.
Hermione waved her wand and tried a few more spells.
"Awesome!"
Hermione said enviously, "Andy, your improvements to the Patronus spell can definitely shock the entire magic world!"
"Not only will the Daily Prophet report on this matter, but even those specialized magic magazines and magical arts academic magazines will be shocked by you."
Andy spread his hands and said, "Maybe! But my patronus spell is irreplicable. Not to mention the others, just bringing the magic back to an unstable state, perhaps even Dumbledore can't do it."
Reporting the improved patronus charm to the public, Andy didn't have that idea for the time being.
At least not before defeating Snape.
"Careful."
Andy reminded, "It can attack in addition to defence."
As Andy's words fell, the fat cat patronus flashed red and slammed its smothered head straight towards Hermione.
Hermione didn't resist, she also wanted to see the fat cat Patronus's ability to attack.
Thud!
A substantial collision.
Andy purposely controlled the strength, so Hermione only took a few steps back slightly, but the wand in her hand flew out of her hand uncontrollably.
"Is it a disarming charm?"
Hermione was pleasantly surprised, "So that's what a Patronus looks like when it attacks, it looks cute."
Andy explained, "More than that, in its normal state, the Patronus is still illusory. That is to say, magical attacks are ineffective against it."
Speaking of this, Andy couldn't help but feel a little smug.
It was too powerful!
It can attack and defend, and others still can't hit it.
How can you compete with it?
If this was the game world, Andy felt that his patronus charm would be reported.
It was too buggy!
"Magic attacks are ineffective?"
Hermione raised her eyebrows, "I don't think so!"
After saying that, Hermione waved her wand and muttered, "Expecto Patronum!"
The otter patronus appeared and slammed towards the fat cat patronus under Hermione's control.
Andy didn't act, he wanted to see the effect as well.
The fat cat patronus streaked a silver-white trail through the air - it dodged on its own.
Andy almost forgot that the fat cat was alive.
Andy could control it, but it could also act on its own.
However, judging from this fat cat patronus's behaviour of 'dodging', the patronus spell would have some effect on it.
Andy controlled the fat cat patronus to stop where it was and let the otter patronus bump into it.
Then ...
There was no sound, the otter patronus flew out just like it crashed into it.
Andy barely managed to stop laughing.
"It seems that the Patronus Charm can indeed counter my Patronus to a certain extent."
Andy said matter-of-factly, "But my patronus can act on its own, whereas my opponent - on the other hand - can't do two things at once."
