Chapter 170 - Chapter 170 The Weasley Twins' Big Treasure

Soon after, Lockhart started the class.

He first spent half a class period explaining yesterday's teaching accident.

Of course, in Lockhart's words, it wasn't a teaching accident, but rather a test that he had conducted on the young wizards.

That, he Gilderoy Lockhart, had not scampered while the Cornish Pixies had been causing a stir in the classroom.

He just wanted to see how good the young wizards really were.

"I'm disappointed that you guys who are already second years can't even deal with the Cornish Pixies. Those little guys are naughty, but there's a simple way to deal with them." Lockhart put it this way.

Just when Andy thought that Lockhart would explain how to deal with the Cornish Pixies next, Lockhart called a few little wizards to the stage and had them cooperate with him to recreate the scene.

A well-staged play.

At the end of the play, with a wave of Lockhart's wand, those few students playing the role of Cornish Pixies fell to the ground at Lockhart's gesture.

Then a lesson passed.

"This is the most outrageous Defence Against the Dark Arts class I've ever taken."

After the class ended, Andy couldn't help but retort, "Not to mention comparing it to Professor Down, even Quirrell is much better than him."

At least Quirrell would still read from the textbook, but Lockhart just acted out the stage play.

"I can't believe that Dumbledore would find this kind of person to teach us."

Andy flared up, "Even if Dumbledore was fooled by him at first, Lockhart has already taken classes for two days, why hasn't Dumbledore fired him yet?"

What made Andy most speechless was that the homework that Lockhart had left for them was a questionnaire that they had to fill out before next week's class.

There were dozens of questions on the questionnaire.

1. What is Gilderoy Lockhart's favourite colour?

2. What is Gilderoy Lockhart's secret wish?

And so on...

***

Just Outrageous!

Hermione followed Andy without a word.

The little witch had just had her idol shattered and was still kind of depressed.

'What should I do to get a new professor?' Andy was ready to formally execute the plan.

Unlike Quirrell, Lockhart was internationally renowned, and trying to deal with Lockhart using the same method that drove Quirrell away was a bit impractical by any stretch of the imagination.

If you wanted to deal with Lockhart, you must find tangible evidence.

'With a Truth Potion?' Andy frowned slightly.

The Truth Potion was easy to use, but once it was discovered, it might even implicate Andy himself.

Andy didn't want to be transferred to Azkaban.

The Confundus Charm could be tried instead.

He could find a chance to let Lockhart make a public fool of himself, then take a photo, and finally send the photo to Rita Skeeter to be published in the newspaper.

As long as that woman made up something random, it would be enough to get Lockhart in trouble.

'It's better to implicate Dumbledore as well.' Andy thought so in his mind.

In the third year, Andy didn't want to fight with the new Defence Against the Dark Arts class professor again.

It was just a pity for the fifth and seventh years, who wouldn't be able to learn anything this year.

After dinner in the Great Hall, Hermione was finally snapped out of the shock of her idol's collapse.

"Andy, what are you going to do?" The young witch asked furtively.

"What?" Andy froze.

"I mean the plan to oust the Professor!"

Hermione lowered her voice, "That's what you and Malfoy were discussing, right?"

"Haven't thought about it yet!" Andy said helplessly, "Lockhart's reputation is big, and if you want to deal with him, the usual methods won't work."

After a pause, Andy leaned over to Hermione's ear, "I'll need a new wand, or perhaps, steal some herbs from Snape's office."

Andy reconsidered; it wouldn't be impossible to use Truth Potion, it's just that he couldn't go to an official apothecary to buy potion ingredients.

"George, Fred!" Andy shouted at the Gryffindor long table.

The Weasley twins immediately came over.

"Hi, Andy!"

George said excitedly, "Want to discuss the plans for the magic amusement park?"

"A magic amusement park?" Hermione raised an eyebrow.

"We're going to open a magic amusement park after we graduate, and we've got tentative plans for it so far," Andy explained casually.

"Not a bad idea." Hermione agreed.

Andy looked at George and lowered his voice, "You two have a lot of experience with night trips, I would like to go to Snape's office and steal some potion ingredients, I was wondering if there was any way you could help?"

"No, I don't agree."

Hermione said immediately, "If Snape finds out, Andy, you'll be expelled."

"It won't happen!"

Andy was confident, "Hermione, don't forget, I helped Snape once, he won't expel me, at most he'll detain me. Besides, I know his little secret."

"You know Snape's secret?" George gasped.

"Could it be the one you told us last time?" Fred connected.

"Or have you discovered a new secret?"

"We can help you with your night trip."

"Or we can help you steal herbs from Snape's office."

"But in exchange ..."

"You'll tell us Snape's secret."

George and Fred spoke one at a time, quite clearly getting their point across.

"Okay!" Andy nodded.

"You wait for us."

George turned his head to look at Fred, "You go and get that thing, I think Andy needs it more than we do right now."

Fred nodded, then got up and ran out of the great hall.

"What is it?" Andy asked curiously.

"You'll find out in a minute."

George said smugly, "That's our secret weapon, the only reason Fred and I can breeze through the castle at night is because of that thing."

"Although we don't know what you're trying to do, you better make proper use of it. We're telling you this because we trust you."

Although George and Fred seemed a bit unreliable, they had inherited the Weasley family's sense of justice.

They would play pranks, but their pranks would never go too far. So even those who were pranked by them didn't actually hate them that much.

"Of course, I have something positive to do by stealing Snape's herbs," Andy explained.

"You have our full support regarding this matter." George patted Andy on the shoulder in a buddy support you kind of way.

Andy actually knew the twins fairly well.

In the twins' minds, stealing the herbs from Snape's office was a cool and at the same time righteous adventure.

But giving Lockhart the Truth Potion ... is something that the twins can't accept.

That may sound like a bit of a contradiction.

But it's a bit Mr Weasley like ...

He's a very righteous man, he never breaks Ministry of Magic rules, and he never covets Ministry funds.

Yet he selfishly modified the muggle car.

In short, there is no such thing as an honest person in the wizarding world.

The difference is merely where they are not honest.
