Professor Sprout looked at Andy, and Andy looked at Professor Sprout.
"..."
After half a minute of silence, Professor Sprout said somewhat unhappily, "Herbology is an essential course, and after you graduate, it will relate to every aspect of your life."
"Especially in the wilderness, if you can't distinguish the properties of herbs, it is very likely that you will encounter life-threatening situations."
Andy didn't dare to squeak, and could only whisper in his mind, 'That's what all the professors say.'
Besides, no matter what kind of dangerous plants, a single Fire-Making Spell will leave nothing left, right?
"Miss Granger, you answer." Professor Sprout asked the question again, it's just that the expression on her face eased up a lot.
Andy: "?"
Andy had a bit of a headache, why am I being targeted by Professor Sprout?
Before last school year's exam, I had deliberately reviewed the knowledge of the Herbology class, and I scored full marks in the theory exam, right?
It's just that the practical handling was a bit poor.
But I got an E on the exam!
This score is not bad; among all the young wizards in the same class, it's still ranked in the top five in terms of scores.
"The method of raising Mandrake is ..."
With Miss Know-it-all giving an extremely standard answer, Professor Sprout nodded in satisfaction before saying aloud, "Why don't you guys write this down in your notebook?"
The young wizards hurriedly took out their notebooks and began to take notes.
"Mr Collins, you write it down a few more times." Professor Sprout added.
Andy: "..."
When Herbology class was over, Andy walked out of the greenhouse with a disheartening look.
Hermione walked on, with a smug grin on her face.
Glancing at Andy, the little witch lectured, "If you could have prepared for the Herbology class in advance, you wouldn't have been worried about Professor Sprout's questions."
"I have so many things to learn, how can I find the time!" Andy complained.
"But haven't you already prepared for the third-year syllabus of Charms class, Transfiguration class, and Defense Against the Dark Arts class?"
The little witch was puzzled, "You just need to spare a little time."
"I'm about to learn the content of the fourth year," Andy said honestly.
"What!?"
A slightly angry voice sounded from behind Andy, "You've already prepared for fourth-year content of both Transfiguration and Charms classes?"
Then why couldn't you take a moment to prepare for Herbology class?
Andy turned stiffly, "Good noon, Professor Sprout."
It was an awkward moment, Andy's toes clawed the ground so hard that he wished he could scoop out a Hogwarts castle under his feet.
Professor Sprout smiled at Hermione before looking at Andy with a stern look on her face, performing a face-changing stunt on the spot.
"You guys go and eat!"
Professor Sprout said, "The morning class was quite tiring, we have another class in the afternoon."
After saying that, Professor Sprout turned around and left.
Andy was silent for a moment before looking at Hermione with an expectant face, "What class do we have this afternoon?"
"Her-bol-ogy! Class!" Hermione said, with an expressionless face, word by word.
Andy looked at Hermione: you're laughing inside already, aren't you?
The corner of the young witch's mouth quickly raised, and then was quickly suppressed, "Let's go eat first, we still have a class in the afternoon."
After saying that, Hermione went towards the great hall first.
Andy looked at Hermione's back, only to notice that the little witch's shoulders were shaking, she was either crying or laughing.
Andy was puzzled, why did the magic school still need to teach people to farm?
***
After lunch, there was still about an hour break.
Andy pulled Hermione outside the castle.
"What are you up to?"
Hermione was wary, "I don't know what Professor Sprout is going to do, but she's doing it for your own good, trying to improve your grade in Herbology."
"I know." Andy gritted his teeth.
Compared to Harry, who was targeted by Snape, Andy actually felt quite happy to be targeted by Professor Sprout.
At least Professor Sprout wouldn't deduce points indiscriminately.
Unlike Snape.
-Potter, five points would be deducted from Gryffindor for this.
Moreover, Professor Sprout was also trying to improve Andy's grade in Herbology.
It was just that Andy didn't understand, his Herbology class grade was obviously good, right? Why was Professor Sprout not satisfied?
Professor Sprout: why is your grade in Herbology only E when all the other subjects are O. You obviously didn't study hard enough!
"I'm here for something else."
Andy looked around and said mysteriously, "Hermione, remember what I said yesterday, the secret involving Hogwarts and Voldemort?"
Hermione raised her eyebrows, "You mean ..."
Andy nodded, "I know where the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets is."
"The Slytherin Chamber of Secrets?" Hermione exclaimed before quickly covering her mouth.
"That's right!"
Andy nodded and said, "According to my investigation, the Chamber of Secrets was opened once sixty years ago, and a student died in the school that year. That dead student was Myrtle."
Hermione frowned, "Moaning Myrtle? Are you saying that the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets is in that abandoned lavatory on the Second Floor?"
"That's what I think," Andy said.
"But ..."
Hermione disagreed somewhat, "If the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets is in that lavatory like you said, there's no way Dumbledore couldn't have found it, right? I mean, if Myrtle died because of the Chamber of Secrets."
"Do you remember the Slytherin symbol?" Andy asked.
"It's a snake?" Hermione queried.
Andy nodded, "The way to enter the room, either being a pureblood or being Parselmouth. So I'm guessing that the way to open the Chamber of Secrets if it's not a Slytherin bloodline, it has to be Parseltongue!"
Hermione's eyes lit up slightly, if that was the case, then it wasn't really possible for the average person to discover the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets.
"Hermione, if you have the time, you can look in that lavatory and see if you can find some Slytherin-related symbols."
Andy swore, "If the Chamber of Secrets was opened sixty years ago, then Slytherin must have left some kind of mark at its entrance."
"Otherwise, it would be impossible for his descendants to find the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets."
Hermione said in agreement, "You're right, without the marks left by Slytherin, it would be impossible for future generations to find the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets. Especially since ... Slytherin has been dead for almost a thousand years."
"Well ... that's not quite right, is it?"
Hermione cocked her head and looked at Andy, "What you said to Professor Snape last night was about Weasley and Malfoy fighting ... What does that have to do with the Chamber of Secrets."
"Ah! This matter, that's a long story." Andy was a little stumped as to what to say.
Hermione looked at Andy and kept staring, and Andy could only turn his head sheepishly.
"That incident had to do with a dark magic item that Voldemort left behind."
Andy thought about it, it wasn't a big deal anyway, and with Dumbledore already on the defensive it couldn't be a big deal.
Let's just tell it as gossip!
