Godric Valley.
Andy held Isabel's small hand and stepped out of the Knight Bus.
"Let's go, Grandpa and Grandma are still waiting for us."
Helping Isabel straighten up her clothes, Andy held the little lass's hand and walked towards his grandfather's house.
"Andy, and little Issa, come in quickly." Grandmother Veronica Collins had a warm smile on her face. When you're old, you like your young ones to surround you.
Grandfather Norman Collins asked with a stern face, "Andy, what is your mom busy with at home? Is she comfortable letting you two go out alone when you're so young?"
Andy explained, "We came on the Knight Bus, nothing will happen."
Norman nodded, then looked down at Isabel, a kind smile appeared on his chubby face, "Issa, what do you want to eat at night? I'll let your grandmother make it for you."
The little girl smiled happily, "I want to eat ..."
The law of intergenerational kinship also works in the West.
Restricted by the economic power, Andy can only be careful when he is at home to make a living. When people are under the roof, they have to bow their heads.
Even Isabel didn't dare to speak up when Helen had a stern face.
But in the grandfather's house, Andy and Isabel's family status immediately went up. If it were not for the fact that the pocket money had not been saved enough, Andy would ruthlessly complain about Helen in front of his grandfather and grandmother.
***
After spending two days at his grandfather's house, Andy excused himself to go out for a stroll, took the gifts he had bought in advance, and headed towards Mrs. Bathilda Bagshot's house.
Deng Deng Deng!
Andy knocked on the door.
Without a moment's wait, Mrs. Bagshot pushed open the door, her dim eyes glanced at Andy, and her voice hoarsely whispered, "It's you, little Collins."
"Hello, Mrs. Bagshot."
Andy said politely, "I've come to visit you."
Mrs. Bagshot hesitated for a moment, then turned slightly sideways and slowly said, "Come in, it's hot outside."
When he initially came into contact with Mrs Bagshot, Andy was still quite afraid of her.
The old lady looked like an evil old hag in a fairy tale, and that look would definitely scare children to tears and become a childhood shadow that would affect them for the rest of their lives.
However, after having contact with her once, Andy found that Mrs Bagshot was actually quite amiable. Perhaps it was because she had been alone for too long, even if she was not too familiar with Andy, she was still very willing to talk to Andy.
And Andy was also a thick-skinned person.
Asking seniors for advice on this kind of thing was just like chasing a girl, the main thing was being shameless.
It doesn't matter if they answer back or not, you have to ask first. As long as you ask more, they will always answer one or two questions.
Isn't this earned?
If Dumbledore wasn't an old shady a-hole, Andy would step on the doorstep of the Headmaster's office daily.
"Thanks!"
Andy said politely and followed Mrs Bagshot into the house.
Mrs. Bagshot's house was still the same as before, and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned up for a long time. Andy just walked in and smelled a mouldy smell.
Andy placed the gift on the table, "Ma'am, this is a gift for you."
Mrs. Bagshot nodded, and while walking towards the kitchen, she asked, "Little Collins, what would you like to drink?"
"Tea would be fine," Andy said.
Mrs. Bagshot brewed two cups of tea and placed one of the cups in front of Andy, "It's really hard for you, youngster, to come and visit me, an old lady, on your holiday."
"You are a senior in the magic world, the greatest magic historian of this century."
Andy complimented, "It's my honour to ask you for advice."
Mrs. Bagshot waved her hand, "When I was young, I was just as curious as you were about those ancient rumours, so I learned more about them."
"I don't even know if those histories that I know are the real ones or not."
Andy couldn't say anything about this point.
There was nothing new under the sun, and no matter where; history was written by the victors.
"Finding the truth from history that is unclear of authenticity is actually a kind of fun."
Andy laughed, "Even if it's false, it's still a wealth for us."
Mrs. Bagshot did not comment, but only asked lightly, "Little one, what is it that you want to know this time over here?"
Andy did not feel embarrassed at all, and smiled and directly confessed, "Ma'am, I want to know about the Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets."
"The secret room...!"
Mrs. Bagshot was in a trance for a moment, and said after a long while, "Some people say that Slytherin left a monster in the secret room to purge those who, in his opinion, were not worthy of learning magic."
Andy listened intently.
Mrs. Bagshot continued, "Just sixty years ago, the Chamber of Secrets was opened by someone, and this incident was a big deal at the time, Hogwarts lost a student because of it, and Headmaster Dippet resigned because of this incident."
"It was rumoured that Hogwarts caught a suspect at the time, but because Dumbledore vouched for him, the Ministry of Magic just broke his wand."
Surprisingly, a suspect was caught.
Andy was surprised, "Who is the suspect?"
"Rubeus Hagrid!" Mrs. Bagshot said.
Andy: "..."
Hagrid opened the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets?
If this was true, Slytherin could probably crawl out of his coffin in anger.
"What do you think, ma'am?" Andy asked curiously.
"I, well...?"
Mrs. Bagshot glanced at Andy and faintly said, "That's certainly nonsense."
Andy nodded, "I think so too. And what is the truth, ma'am?"
Mrs. Bagshot looked at Andy, "Little Collins, you're curious about Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets?"
"Yes!" Andy said seriously.
Mrs. Bagshot thought for a moment and continued, "A lot of people have forgotten that name, Tom Riddle, he was the Dark Lord."
"Sure enough, it was Voldemort who opened the Chamber of Secrets!" Andy blurted out.
Mrs. Bagshot gave Andy a surprised look, "Little Collins, how dare you call him by his name?"
Having said that, Mrs. Bagshot was not as alarmed as the others.
No matter what, she was the aunt of the first Dark Lord Grindelwald. The old lady might not have much strength, but she must have seen a lot of big scenes.
Andy shrugged his shoulders and did not dwell on this issue.
Mrs. Bagshot obviously didn't care either, as she continued, "I don't know exactly where Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets is hidden, but the purpose of him building it should only be to study the mysteries of magic with like-minded companions."
"As for purging people unworthy of learning magic ..."
"I've researched that, and that's a rumour that came out a long time later."
Andy nodded.
What Mrs. Bagshot had said was pretty much the same as what Andy had learned before.
'If Voldemort has been in the Chamber of Secrets, then he should have got his hands on the Slytherin research materials.'
Andy's expression was a little hard.
