Andy swore that he would never despise the current reality of today's magic world again - gold galleons were more useful than magic.
It was indeed difficult to move an inch without money!
When Andy came out of the potion room, Helen had already made lunch.
"Mom, the elixir of euphoria is simmering down fine." Andy carefully examined Helen's expression.
"Um!"
Helen let out an expressionless nasal sound, then said, "Come over and eat!"
"Yes!" Andy honestly sat on the chair, and only after seeing Helen start to eat did he pick up the sandwich on his plate and take a bite.
"Mom, your cooking just keeps getting better and better." Andy flattered.
Isabel glanced at Andy with a face full of contempt, and then looked at Helen with a look of currying favour, "Mom, you worked hard to cook."
Andy: "..."
Now people are snatching up even the job of kissing arse?
It's too hard for me!
Without gold galleons, a man has no status in the family.
Andy took a French fry and dipped it in ketchup, "The fries are super yummy too, nice and crispy. Dad is lucky to have a wife as fabulous as you."
"Shut up!" Helen couldn't stand it any longer.
"Yes!" Andy sighed in his heart, but his face showed a good boy's expression.
Isabel also honestly didn't dare to speak.
Ever since she saw Andy's tragic situation, the little girl did not dare to fool around with Helen.
In the morning, Andy also saw Isabel counting her pocket money and then ran out, and he still didn't know where she had hidden it.
Andy never thought that he would one day become the chicken in the monkey scaring example.
After the meal, Helen just waved her wand and all the dishes on the table automatically flew into the kitchen and washed up in the sink.
"Ah..."
Helen sat slumped on the couch, stretching her body and lounging, "I'm about to die of exhaustion."
Andy doggedly ran over and stood behind the sofa to help Helen squeeze her shoulders, "Feeling better?"
Isabel rushed over to help pound her legs, lifting her head and looking at Helen pitifully, "Mom, do I have to work too to get my allowance?"
Helen closed her eyes and didn't say anything, and the little girl didn't dare to squeak.
"Okay, okay."
Five minutes later, Helen moved her shoulders and said unhurriedly, "You two ..."
Helen originally wanted Andy to take Isabel out to play, but once she thought of her own son's character, Helen temporarily changed her words, "Go and busy yourselves, I'll go back to the room and squint for a while."
"Right."
Helen added, "Andy, don't forget to check on the potion every hour."
"Got it!" Andy said.
When Helen left, Isabel poked her tongue out at Andy.
"Ugh!"
Andy sat limply on the couch and asked curiously, "Issa, how much pocket money do you have left?"
"One Knut!" Isabel raised a finger.
"Well, I don't want your pocket money." Andy rolled his eyes.
"I didn't lie to you." Isabel rummaged through her coat pocket, and there was really only one knut inside.
Andy saw this and waved his hand in no good humour, "Go play on the side, I'm going to the study to read a book."
"You don't have money yourself, why are you blaming me?"
The little girl spread her hands, "Andy, for what did you spend so much money?"
"Buying books!" Andy didn't regret it, it was just that the feeling of having no money was too unbearable.
Especially since Andy would need to use a large sum of money soon.
"You only know how to read books, nerd."
Isabel hummed lightly, "I'm going out to play."
"Be careful!" Andy instructed.
When Isabel ran out the door, Andy got up and walked towards the study.
The Collins family had quite a collection of books, which were all accumulated by their ancestors, generation after generation. Some of them are still rare books that were traded from pureblood families.
Before receiving the admission notice from Hogwarts, Kyle and Helen never allowed Andy to read books related to magic.
After receiving the admission letter, Andy focused most of his energy on textbooks.
So much so that Andy didn't even have a good look at the books in the house.
Walking into the study, Andy looked at the titles of the books in order along the shelves.
Wicked Magic: Crowned Dark Magic
Basic Dark Magic Explained
Forbidden Magic: The Unforgivable Curses
There was no doubt that the Collins family had dark magic books. Andy lingered in front of the bookshelf for a moment and eventually averted his gaze reluctantly.
Before adding points to the [Will] attribute, Andy was not prepared to delve into dark magic.
After searching for some time, Andy took out a book that introduced the Patronus Charm and read it.
Before the magic power in his body returned to stability, Andy was not prepared to practice other magic.
After flipping through a few pages, Andy was a little disappointed in his heart.
Although the content in the book was slightly different from what Andy had read before, it was still largely the same.
There was only so much introduction about the Patronus Charm, and its only function was to send a message, as well as to expel Dementors and Lethifolds.
"Gu Gu!"
Hearing the hooting of an owl, Andy looked up. Only to see an owl resting outside the window, its eyes were gleaming as it looked at him.
Andy hurriedly pulled open the window and took the letter before taking some small cookies and feeding them to the owl.
The owl gave Andy a 'knowing' look and flew away with its wings flapping.
Andy glanced at the letter signed by Hermione Granger.
"Finally a letter back."
There wasn't much useful content in the letter, it was simply about the daily routine after returning home, and in the end, Andy was told not to forget about the appointment on July 10th.
"Hmm..."
Andy rubbed his temples, "Should I write a letter to Dumbledore?"
"Forget it, let's write to Professor Flitwick!"
Andy thought that he and Dumbledore would never be able to piss in the same hole, instead of owing Dumbledore a favour, he should ask his own head for advice.
It would be a bit more legitimate that way as well.
Andy took out his letter paper and wrote a letter to Professor Flitwick.
The letter first detailed his understanding of the Patronus Charm and Obscurus, and then he wrote some of his own speculations about the Patronus Charm.
There might still be some true aspects of this ancient magic that we don't know.
Writing this, Andy suddenly paused.
"Should I talk about my current state?"
Andy frowned and contemplated for a moment, but eventually gave up.
Bringing magic back to an unstable state was the system's ability, and Andy couldn't explain how he could do it.
It was better not to say anything about it for now.
At the end of the letter, Andy asked again if Dumbledore's Patronus, the Phoenix Patronus, had any abilities that were different from other Patronuses.
After writing the letter, Andy used the family owl to send the letter to Professor Flitwick.
"As a professor of Charms class, there's no way he wouldn't even know about this, right?" Andy looked forward to it.
