"Aaaaahhhh... uh wahhhh...!"
In just a few moments, Quirrell's life force had been drained away by Voldemort. His blood and flesh withered on his body, and his entire body shook.
A black mist floated out from Quirrell's body, and it coalesced into a human face - it was none other than Voldemort.
"My lord... lord!"
Quirrell stretched out his hand and looked at Voldemort with an incredulous face.
He didn't expect Voldemort to just give up on him.
"Dumbledore, I'll see you soon."
The black mist that Voldemort had turned into hovered in the air briefly before leaving Hogwarts Castle through the wall.
Snape looked in the direction Voldemort had disappeared in, and several times he wanted to make a move to intercept him. But when he thought that even Dumbledore was powerless against Voldemort in this state, Snape could only muster his patience.
Thud!
Quirrell's body lost its support and fell to the ground.
Neither Snape nor Dumbledore paid any attention to him.
Quirrell may have been pitiable, but it was kind of self-inflicted.
"He's gone?" Snape asked softly.
It had been almost a year since Harry had enrolled in school, and Snape had naturally sensed Dumbledore's attitude towards Harry.
Much like Voldemort's thoughts, the more Dumbledore valued Harry Potter, the more it proved that Dumbledore was powerless against Voldemort.
Snape was sceptical that Dumbledore would still be able to compete with Voldemort once Voldemort was resurrected.
Dumbledore took a few steps forward and checked on Quirrell before walking over to the Mirror of Erised and taking out the Philosopher's Stone.
"Quirinus used to be a very good wizard as well."
Hearing Dumbledore's sentiment, Snape snorted dismissively.
Dumbledore put the Philosopher's Stone in his pocket, "It seems that Voldemort has given up on the Philosopher's Stone and this fiasco can finally come to an end."
Snape glanced at the Philosopher's Stone before quickly retracting his gaze, "Are you saying that there are other ways to bring Voldemort back to life?"
"Perhaps!"
Dumbledore waved his wand, causing Quirrell to float in the air, "He claimed to have gone farther than anyone else in halting death ... But I suppose resurrection would require certain conditions, or he couldn't possibly have waited until today."
Conditions for resurrection?
Snape frowned slightly.
If Voldemort's resurrection required conditions, then he would most likely come to him for help.
What should I do about it? Snape thought dimly.
Just stepping out of the third-floor corridor, Dumbledore and Snape came face to face with Professor McGonagall, who had arrived in a hurry.
Professor McGonagall was relieved to see the two safe and sound, "Thank goodness!"
"Had you worried, Minerva," Dumbledore said.
Professor McGonagall glanced at Quirrell, who was floating in the air, "I can't believe he's ... Albus, what are you going to do with him?"
"Quirinus has unfortunately passed away."
Dumbledore said, "I will notify Fudge, of the theft at the Gringotts, it is time to bring an end to it."

"A day's work is a day's work."
Andy yawned and struggled out of bed.
His brown hair was dishevelled and scattered in front of his eyes, each strand telling a rosy vision of wanting to sleep for another five hundred years.
Andy staggered out of bed and walked over to the window to open it, the March sunlight draping Andy in warm colours.
Breathing in the fresh air outside, Andy's entire being was much more awake.
Washing and tidying himself up, Andy walked out of his dormitory and went to the Great Hall with Hermione for breakfast.
Although he had guessed that last night would be lively, he did not expect it to be so lively.
First of all, the ban on the castle was lifted.
This also meant that the crisis at the castle was lifted.
Many people were saying that the person who attacked Professor Down and Malfoy had been caught by Dumbledore.
Although the school hadn't officially declared this matter, according to the gossip, Professor McGonagall had implicitly stated this morning that the identity of the assailant would come as a great surprise to everyone.
In light of this, everyone was beginning to look forward to, well, this evening's banquet.
Secondly, Harry and Ron once again made Gryffindor's points deducted.
This time, twenty points were deducted from each, which added up to forty.
When Andy heard about this, he couldn't help but feel a moment of silence for the two.
It hadn't even been a year since they had been in school, and just Harry and Ron together had already nearly deducted two hundred points from Gryffindor.
One hundred points were deducted for the initial night out, and forty points were deducted for being caught on this night out. Add to that the Potions class, Snape's targeting of Harry, creating opportunities to deduct points even when he didn't make a mistake.
In one word, miserable!
It's a good thing that Harry and Ron's night exploration of the Forbidden Forest at that time was suppressed by Dumbledore, and no points were deducted. Otherwise, Gryffindor's points this year might break the lowest record in history.
In the end, some people linked the deduction of Harry and Ron's points to Professor McGonagall's hints.
The identity of the assailant would come as a surprise to everyone.
Harry and Ron got points deducted again.
So, they are the ones!
As for the logic behind this ... the little wizards are devoid of logic.
It wouldn't occur to them that attacking a professor and a classmate could get you expelled from school.
"Andy, is it possible that Quirrell was caught?" Hermione was beaming.
Quirrell being caught meant that Andy was safe.
"I guess so."
Andy also breathed a sigh of relief, these days, Andy had been keeping a tense heart as well, "Worthy of Dumbledore, to have solved Quirrell in less than a year."
Hermione gave Andy a blank look.
Don't you think I didn't hear you slandering Dumbledore?
Andy forked a grilled sausage and took a big bite.
This time he laid down well, it wasn't exactly a lying down and winning, but at least he didn't get caught up in something strange and bizarre.
The essence of lying down was - don't move around, if you move, it's easy to roll down.
"Since the crisis is over, we'll have to focus on revision next."
The little witch counted the days, "We still have more than three months before the exam."
Just counting the time put the little witch in a state of severe anxiety.
Andy: "..."
"I prefer learning new things to revising."
Andy felt that he couldn't be led by the little witch, "As for the exams, it doesn't matter if I barely scored a passing mark in the written exam."
"That's not going to work!"
Hermione slapped a notebook on the table, "I've organized notes for the History of Magic and Herbology classes for you, remember to memorize them yourself."
These two subjects were the worst Andy had ever been studying.
"Thanks!" Although it wasn't much use, Andy was still very grateful.
"Hi, you two!"
"You guys are so affectionate."
As soon as he heard the voice, Andy knew it was George and Fred.
"Hi George, Fred."
Andy greeted, "What can I do for you two?"
These two wouldn't come without some business - mainly because Andy wasn't that close to them, either.
"There is indeed something I need your help with."
