Chapter 95 - Chapter 95 Don't Learn from Gryffindor

What? The three of you will follow me from now on?

Andy was confused.

Terry explained, "There's a new rule at the school, all students are not allowed to leave the castle until the attacker of Professor Down and Malfoy is caught."

"Everyone must move in groups of three or more, except in the dormitories, the Great Hall, and during classes."

Anthony added, "Even professors who don't have classes are required to patrol the castle from time to time."

Andy and Hermione looked at each other.

With their intelligence, the two were naturally able to think that this serious approach by the school could only mean that the danger of Quirrell had been drastically increased.

If Quirrell's goal was the Philosopher's Stone, he would probably start his actions soon.

"Andy, who do you think...actually attacked Professor Down and Malfoy? It can't really be Potter, can it?" Michael asked with some curiosity.

"How should I know?"

Andy spread his hands, "Don't think about it. Anyway, all we can do is try to not cause any trouble for the Professor, and the rest will be taken care of by them."

"I'm glad you recognize that, Collins ...," A sinister voice suddenly rang out, and Andy knew just by the sound of it that Snape had arrived.

"Good morning, Professor Snape." Andy greeted warmly as if nothing was wrong.

"...Good morning." Snape smiled a little...ambiguously?

"S...Professor Snape." Andy's three roommates instantly winced.

Snape swept a glance at the three.

As if they had a heart-to-heart communication with Snape in an instant, the three instantly comprehended Snape's meaning, and without the slightest bit of loyalty, they left Andy where he was and ran away by themselves.

Andy: Who was the one who said that they would follow me in the future?

Good thing Hermione is loyal enough.

"Your luck won't always be this good...Collins..."

Snape's voice was minimal, his tone still slow and unhurried, "I let you get away with it last night, but you won't be so lucky next time. Fortunately, though...you're not a stupid Gryffindor."

Snape finished and gave Andy a somewhat disappointed look.

He was waiting for Andy to interrupt him.

As soon as Andy interrupted him, he could deduct five or ten points from Andy for disrespecting the professor.

"Thank you for the reminder, Professor Snape."

Andy looked like a good student, "I'm not a Gryffindor, I'm not going to break school rules."

Snape gave Andy a look and then turned away.

"What does Professor Snape mean?"

Hermione looked at Andy, "He just mentioned 'last night', what did you do last night?"

"He was reminding me not to be like Gryffindors, especially not like Harry and Ron, who always seem to be reckless in their approach."

Andy sighed, "I figured something out last night and was going to go inform Headmaster Dumbledore, but then I saw Malfoy go to the restricted area on the third floor."

"MAL...!"

The young witch was about to exclaim, then immediately covered her mouth and lowered her voice, "Malfoy went to the restricted area on the third floor?"

Andy nodded his head and let out a 'hmm', "Maybe it's an Imperius Curse, or maybe someone modified his memory, in short... Malfoy was a bit out of sorts."

After a pause, Andy continued, "Then I met Professor Snape. He was probably worried that I would run off and take care of Quirrell by myself because I considered myself somewhat competent."

"Then I guess he was worried for nothing."

Hermione grunted softly, "You'll just let someone else deal with Quirrell."

Andy: "..."

You do know me.

***

After breakfast, Andy completed his usual three daily tasks of attending class, reading in the library, and practising magic, and the time quickly came to the evening.

Hogwarts was already the birthplace of rumours, and after a day of fermentation, the incidents of attacks had grown more and more heated among the student body.

Especially this time, even the professors began to take it seriously.

Not only was the castle closed, but professors were made to patrol the castle, and even the students had to act together with three or more people for their daily activities.

Many people were discussing the attack.

Who was the perpetrator?

Who would be the next target of the attack?

Why was Malfoy attacked twice?

Was Harry Potter the perpetrator or not?

The young wizards were discussing it with great fervour, and some took advantage of the opportunity to sell the amulet and were said to have made a good amount of money.

"I wonder when the school will catch Quirrell."

On the way to the Great Hall, Hermione was still a little worried, "Also Quirrell's goal was to steal the Philosopher's Stone, not to get revenge for being kicked out of school."

"As long as we don't go to the restricted area on the third floor, we won't be in danger." Andy had a disinterested expression.

The mystery of lying down to win was: don't move, if you move, you'll easily roll down.

Andy had pitted Malfoy once, but last night he had also saved his life.

From now on each of them would not owe each other anything, and they would forget about each other.

"You're right!"

The young witch huffed, "Andy, if you go on another night out, I'm going to tell Professor Flitwick to ... what they're doing here now?"

Andy followed Hermione's gaze, only to see Harry and Ron coming towards him from across the room.

"Andy, we need your help!" Ron opened the topic, his expression was still a little indignant.

"What do you guys want again? Andy's not going to break the school rules like you guys." Hermione pursed her lips and pouted a little.

Andy pulled Hermione a bit and gave the young witch another reassuring look, "If it's about the rumours ... as long as the school catches the perpetrator, your suspicions will naturally be cleared."

"I didn't attack Malfoy, much less Professor Down." Harry defended with some annoyance.

Andy shrugged and didn't answer.

Harry and Ron were indeed annoyed by the rumours going around the school, and the only way to solve this was to catch the assailant.

So...they were going to take it on themselves.

However, two consecutive failed night trips had made Harry deeply aware of his own inadequacies, so he planned to find a helper.

Thus, Ron thought of Andy.

Andy had demonstrated the Disillusionment Charm, so according to Ron, since Andy was so skilful with the Disillusionment Charm, he might have been a frequent night wanderer.

So they were going to drag Andy along on their night tour...er, to catch the assailant.

After listening to Harry and Ron's request, the little witch immediately put on a stern face and opened her mouth to lecture.

Andy hastily pulled Hermione.

The little witch has a high IQ and low EQ, and usually, her three out of five sentences would be upsetting.

"I'm sorry, I can't help you guys with this."

Andy refused outright, "The professors are already looking for the assailant, all we can do is not add to the professor's troubles."

"We're not adding to the trouble."

Harry took a deep breath as if to calm down, "We have leads."

"Then you should tell the professor," Hermione said nonchalantly.

No wonder Professor Snape had told Andy not to be like a stupid Gryffindor, that's how Gryffindors were.
