Chapter 49 - Chapter 49 I have the strength I have now, all thanks to my own efforts

Since that day after celebrating Hermione's birthday, the relationship between the two could be said to have advanced by leaps and bounds. If it wasn't for the fact that Hermione was just too young and there was no suitable place at Hogwarts, Andy would have made his move already.

Luckily, Andy doesn't have that kind of interest in lolls.

That kind of thing should start in three or four years!

Life at Hogwarts was laid back, and Andy enjoyed it.

Every day, he took classes, read books, practised a little bit of magic, or maybe teased the little witch. Without realizing it, the time had come to late October.

Ever since Quirrell was kicked out, nothing much happened at Hogwarts.

Uh...except for Malfoy getting beaten up in a sack.

Luckily for Malfoy, it wasn't a serious injury, just a few bruises on his face.

Andy had heard that Malfoy had claimed that Potter and Weasley had beaten him up, but unfortunately, he had no proof, and Harry and Ron had firmly denied it.

So in the end, this matter could only be left unsettled.

However, the relationship between the three of them is also considered to be completely broken.

Malfoy provoked Harry and Ron more than once in public, he also loudly mocked Ron's family.

And whenever Ron and Harry were enraged and wanted to kick Malfoy's ass, Snape would silently appear on the scene.

Then there it was - a five-point deduction for Gryffindor!

Harry and Ron were tempted to put Malfoy in the sack again, except that after that experience of being in the sack, Malfoy was rarely alone anymore.

A new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor had arrived, a forty-something wizard named Tony Down.

It was said that Dumbledore had gone to great lengths to find him.

Professor Down was not exactly extremely well knowledgeable, but he was at least a qualified professor, much better than Quirrell, who could only dryly read from a textbook.

He would occasionally find some dark creatures and let the young wizards actually practice on them.

Andy was quite satisfied with this.

The fifth floor of the castle, abandoned classroom.

Andy stopped his spell-casting movements and mentally recited the System Open.

The system interface appeared as usual, the only change was that the red liquid inside the orb had been emptied, and the data underneath the orb was displaying [Potential Points: 5].

Hehehehe!

Andy burst into a foolish smile, nearly sixty days of hard work, Andy finally saved enough attributes to add points once again.

There was no need to say more.

System, add points!

When [Charms: 4] turned into [Charms: 5] at that instant, Andy felt that his entire being had been sublimated.

It was an indescribable feeling.

If you want to elevate your magic level, you have to incorporate magic theory into your spell casting.

Moreover, different magic had different magic theories, and everyone did not have the same understanding of magic.

Not only that, if you want to improve your magic level, just understanding the theory of magic isn't enough, you also need to skillfully master the spell-casting techniques after incorporating the theory of magic through hard practice.

In the past, when the talent was low, there wasn't much of a feeling.

But when the [Charms] talent reached 5 points, Andy felt as if he had opened the Ren & Du meridian (wisdom point). It was as if all those different magic theories and different spell-casting techniques had blended together in an instant.

"Diffindo!"

Andy pointed at a table in the classroom with his wand.

Under the effect of the magic, the table was instantly split into whatever shape Andy wanted.

Severing Charm could make objects split, and highly skilled wizards could even use Severing Charm to carve objects - it was a kind of meticulous and subtle manipulation of magic.

Andy could not achieve this yet, but was able to make the object split into the shape he wanted.

"Reparo!"

Andy recited an incantation again, and the splintered wooden pieces instantly gathered together and reshaped themselves into the shape of a table.

"So smooth!"

Andy even felt that this was not his limit.

It was just a pity that this classroom was a bit small, so Andy couldn't experiment with his magic with no restraint.

While that feeling of talent enhancement was still there, Andy practised his magic once again.

In the past, those spell-casting techniques that were very difficult or even impossible to master were now something that could be cast at will.

As Andy cast spells over and over again, the red liquid within the system orb also began to slowly rise.

After every talent enhancement, Andy's spell-casting ability would be increased by a small margin.

This is the realization of the talent.

After this period, if you wanted to raise it again in the future, you would have to go through hard practice.

"I feel like you've got a lot stronger." Hermione stopped practising and looked at Andy with some surprise.

Only those who had truly practised magic could understand what kind of feeling it was to become stronger in magic.

The vast majority of wizards in the magical world, their first reaction when they encountered danger was to turn around and run away, rather than whip out their wands.

This was because magic schools would only teach you to cast spells, not teach you to fight.

Even practising magic relies on the young wizard's self-consciousness.

Andy's parents - Kyle and Helen, were typical representatives of the adult wizards.

They could use magic, but they were definitely not that strong.

Hermione had practised magic with Andy for more than a month, so she knew very well what it was like to improve the level of spell casting.

The progress of magic was hard to distinguish with the naked eye.

It was a subtle change when casting a spell.

"It should be the result of practising hard!"

Andy said while practising, "I can now integrate multiple spell-casting techniques together, like this..."

"Diffindo!"

Andy waved his wand and pointed at a wooden board.

Under the effect of the magic, the centre of the wooden board was split in the shape of a pentagram, with a pentagram nested within the pentagram, layer after layer, and ten pentagrams in a row were split by Andy.

This kind of spell casting looked simple, but it required extremely skilful casting ability.

At least Hermione was far from being able to do this.

Hermione's Severing Charm could only cause the object to split into several pieces that looked like they had exploded.

"Reparo!"

After restoring the board, Andy cast the spell again.

"Incendio!"

The flames that flared up coalesced into a fire eagle with wings spreading three to four meters long, the fire eagle hovered over the classroom, the temperature in the classroom instantly rose, and the scorching temperature even made some pieces of scrap paper burn automatically.

Seeing that Hermione was a bit uncomfortable, Andy hastily stopped casting the spell.

"Hoo-"

It was too strong!

At this moment, Andy felt that he could even duel with Dumbledore at the top of Hogwarts.

Of course, this was just an illusion.

Andy had seen duelling matches and knew how big the gap between himself and those magic experts was.

Andy's talent might be strong now, but some things needed time to accumulate, and some things couldn't even be measured by common sense.

Magic was not something that could be reasoned with in the first place.

"Amazing!"

Hermione looked a little envious, she guessed that she would have to practice quite a bit more before she could give form to the flames like Andy did.

"Andy!"

Hermione suddenly looked at Andy and asked with a hint of doubt on her face, "You're practising magic so hard, do you have any dreams to realize?"
