Towards the end of August, it was getting closer and closer to the start of the academic year at Hogwarts. Andy never thought that he would one day look forward to going to school.
"I obviously disliked going to school before."
Inside the bedroom, Andy closed the Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration and put the book together with the other textbooks.
This month or so could be said to be the most substantial period of time Andy had lived since his reincarnation.
Reunion with loved ones, exchanging information about Hogwarts with Ron, George, and Fred. Of course, the most important thing was that Andy got his wand and could practice magic with no restraint.
Speaking of Hogwarts' information, Andy suddenly had a bit of a headache.
A month back in time.
With Hogwarts closed for the holidays, Andy wrote a letter to Ron inviting him to come out with the twins to play Quidditch.
And incidentally, just incidentally, Andy wanted to ask the twins about the preferences of the professors at Hogwarts.
After all, no matter what world you were in, it was always necessary to have a good relationship with your teachers.
It went well, and the information was inquired.
All the other professors were fine, but the current Head of Slytherin and Potions Professor, Severus Snape, a man who was literally the number one villain of Hogwarts in the twins' mouths.
The kind that couldn't even be solved by firing a Killing Curse on him.
Andy had some memories of Snape, who seemed to have targeted Harry Potter in the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone film.
But when Quirrell cast a Dark Charm on Harry Potter's flying broom, Snape seemed to have cast a counter-curse.
Anyway, Snape as a person seems to be one of those professors with a nasty personality that favours his own house. He would purposely find trouble with Gryffindors, but wouldn't sit back and watch something happen to a student.
With one point of doubt, one point of curiosity, and eight points of wanting to hear gossip, Andy asked his own Mum, Helen, about Snape's past.
Helen was a Gryffindor when she went to school.
It is said that the person who knows you best is your enemy, and Gryffindor and Slytherin are arch-enemies. Andy figured that Helen would know something about Snape for sure.
So Andy heard about the Hogwarts Popular group of four bullying Snape (wrong, let's cross it out)
So Andy then heard the story of Snape single-handedly fighting the four Gryffindor warriors.
In Helen's description, Snape had a dark character with a sinister face, was addicted to dark magic, and showed strong magical talent when he first enrolled in school and joined a Death Eater youth training programme.
Not only that, Snape also tried to solicit a certain Gryffindor girl to divide the unity of Gryffindor, wanting her to join him in the camp of Death Eaters.
Luckily, four Gryffindor warriors joined hands to fight against Snape, which prevented Snape's scheming from succeeding.
"If that's the case, why does Snape get to be a professor?" Andy then asked.
"It was Dumbledore who helped bail him out. If you ask me, that's how it is in Slytherin, whichever side has the advantage, whichever side is stronger, they will turn to it. Maybe Snape was betting on both sides." Helen said in this way.
Originally things would have ended here.
But Andy, to pry more secrets about Hogwarts, informed the Weasley twins of this matter, and received information about secret passages from them in exchange.
But the twins' audacity was simply beyond Andy's imagination.
When Andy heard their plan, he broke out in a cold sweat on the spot.
Luckily, the twins made a promise that they wouldn't betray Andy even if they got caught in the act, which made Andy relieved.
"Phew-"
Taking a deep breath, Andy stretched and leaned his body backwards on the chair.
During this period of time, Andy had already finished reading the four books "The Standard Book of Spells - Grade 1", "A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration", "The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection", as well as "Magical Theory".
Not only that, whenever he had time, Andy would practice magic and ask Kyle and Helen to teach him what he didn't understand. In just a month's time, Andy felt that he could go straight to the second year.
Kyle sighed more than once, if he could have worked as hard as Andy back then, he would have either become the Dark Lord or taken over Headmaster Dumbledore's position by now, or at worst, he would have become the Minister of Magic.
It's a pity that he is no longer the same as back then.
Practising hard is very effective, but if you say that you feel that your strength has increased greatly, that's bullshit, but it's still easy to bully Isabel.
In the past, bullying the little lass required hands, whereas now all it took was a flick of his wand and a spell, and Andy would be happy for the rest of the day.
Of course, none of this was the most important.
'System!'
Opening the system interface, the data [Potential Points: 4] made the corners of Andy's lips unconsciously grin up to his ears.
This was the data that was updated last night, and now there was no more red liquid inside the orb, not a single drop.
'System, add points!'
When [Charms: 3] turned into [Charms: 4], Andy felt that his entire being had been sublimated.
This was not an illusion.
Andy was really feeling some subtle changes in his body.
It was as if casting spells became simpler and learning magic spells became easier. The magic spell theories that were somewhat incomprehensible in the past also suddenly became clear at this moment, as if he had been enlightened.
This feeling...was like being a genius.
In fact, Andy had had this feeling before, his own talent in Transfiguration was clearly stronger than his Charms Talent.
Both Kyle and Helen had described Andy as a magical genius, but that was only because of Andy's self-discipline and hard work, as well as his ability to understand, which belonged to an adult.
Putting that aside, Andy would be just average in terms of talent.
Today, Andy had a general understanding of the data given by the system.
1 is a troll, 2 is mediocre, 3 is average, 4 is outstanding, 5 is a genius, 6 is a super genius, 7 is...
Well! Andy didn't think that much for the moment.
For the time being, Andy's Charms and Transfiguration talents were both at the 'Outstanding' level. Coupled with Andy's ability to run away quickly, as well as the self-discipline and understanding that uniquely belonged to an adult, he believed there would be no problem in hanging around the first years at Hogwarts.
"So the next thing... is to attend classes and learn more magic regularly."
Over these days, Andy had been staring at the changes in the orb on the system interface.
After learning a magic spell for the first time and practising it diligently, the red liquid inside the orb would grow very quickly.
But when Andy had mastered the spell proficiently, the increase of the red liquid would slow down and gradually stop growing.
To put it simply, the increase in the red liquid had nothing to do with hard practice, but rather with Andy's progress.
Without progress in magic, practising hard for a longer period of time would be ineffective.
'Learn more magic, then add points to raise your talent, and the increase in talent will lead to faster progress in magic, which will in turn lead to a continued increase in talent.'
This was the healthy cycle.
"I'm really suitable for Uncle Snake's path."
'If Uncle Snake had this system in his life, how could the Ninja World still have an alien in it?'
It's time to dance with Voldemort.
