Chapter 78 - Chapter 78 Are there still honest people in this world?

Andy spread his hands and said, "Ms. Gray is being mysterious, so you let me think about it."

While saying that, what Andy was thinking about was actually something else.

History, ancient magic, bloodlines, souls...

It was obvious that although those forefathers of the magic world were all pursuing the origin of magic, they were actually not pursuing it in the same direction.

That's why Ms. Gray said: The origin of magic... how do you find it?

The direction of research was different, and the conclusions reached would naturally be different.

Looking at the sky, Andy said to Hermione: "It's too late today, let's go back to bed first, let's talk about everything tomorrow!"

Compared to PKing wits with Ms. Ravenclaw, Andy preferred to forcefully crack the secrets of this place after his magic was strong.

This is the meaning of having a plug-in!

"You go back to sleep first!"

Hermione gestured to the book in her hand, "I'll go back to bed after I finish this book, tomorrow is Sunday anyway; I can sleep more."

"Okay, don't stay up too late reading," Andy instructed.

"Uh, got it. Good night!" Hermione smiled slightly.

"Good night!" Andy was in a bit of a trance.

Back in his dormitory, Andy lay on his bed, but his mind was in turmoil.

There was so much news that he had heard tonight.

The Ravenclaw Library, the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets...

The Big Four all seemed to have left some secrets in the castle, what about Gryffindor and Hufflepuff?

Compared to these two, the other two seemed to have only left behind their sword and golden cup, and there didn't seem to be many legends about them in the castle.

Andy skimmed his mouth and tried to empty his mind to keep himself from thinking about this.

Compared to the secrets left behind by the Big Four, Andy still thought that the library of Hogwarts was the biggest treasure in the magical world.

As for the secret of the Ravenclaw library...

It was certainly good to get it, and it didn't matter if he couldn't get it.

With this train of thought, Andy quickly went into dreamland.

***

After sleeping until noon the next day, Andy got up from the bed, washed up, changed his clothes and prepared to go out for lunch.

"Andy!"

Just after walking out of the boys' dormitory and entering the common room, Hermione stood up from the sofa with a surprised look on her face.

Thinking about last night, Andy walked over quickly, "You weren't up all night, were you?"

"No!"

Hermione looked around with a sneaky look as she lowered her voice, "I finished all the library books."

Pfft!!!

I suspect you're teasing me.

Andy looked at Hermione with an eerie look on his face, "Seriously?"

"Of course it's true!"

The young witch's face was smug as she said triumphantly, "Ms. Grey said that Ms. Ravenclaw valued knowledge and wisdom more, and I finally understand what that means."

"What does it mean?" Andy asked in a hurry.

"The desire for knowledge, of course!"

Hermione looked at Andy, "After you left last night, I had been reading books in the library, looking at one after another as if I had forgotten time all of a sudden."

"By the time I realized something was wrong, I noticed that it was still dark outside, but I had finished six or seven books already by then."

"Hiss-" Andy sucked in a breath of cold air.

Hermione continued, "I was in a bit of a panic, but I soon realized that I seemed to have triggered a spell left behind by Ms. Ravenclaw."

"There, it was as if I couldn't feel tired, so I finished all the books in one sitting!"

Andy was envious, how could such a good thing not fall on his head?

"So did you gain anything?" Andy pursued.

"No!"

Hermione shook her head in disappointment, "My mind is still a bit messed up, there's too much in the book for me to memorize."

Andy smiled in some disappointment.

What was the difference between reading a book without focusing on the main points, and not reading a book at all?

Andy was a little despondent for a while, what secrets did Ms. Ravenclaw leave behind in those books?

"Hahaha, hahaha--"

The little witch suddenly let out a burst of laughter, she looked at Andy proudly, "Andy, you really didn't believe it, did you?"

Andy: "..."

The little witch laughed out loud, "I thought of this idea last night and rehearsed it before I went to bed, and you really fell for it!"

So you're really teasing me?

Annoyed, Andy rubbed the young witch's head, making a mess of her hair.

What had happened to the Ravenclaw style?

Had even Hermione, the good student, learned to deceive people now?

Were there any honest people left in this world?

This was all Dumbledore's fault!

"Don't mess up my hair."

Hermione waved Andy's hand away with a snicker on her face, "You always tricked me, now you've finally been tricked, huh?"

Andy looked at the ceiling with a speechless face, never expecting that he would one day fall into the hands of a little girl.

Careless!

Hermione straightened her hair and then said, "I really did find out some secrets."

I would be a dog if I believed you again.

Andy refused to believe it, "Let's go eat first, I slept late last night, and I'm starving."

"It's true!"

Hermione said in a rush, "I read six or seven books last night and I really found out some secrets."

Andy: "..."

It seemed a bit silly at this point regardless of whether one believed it or not.

"Let's go eat first, and talk while we eat."

Andy looked at the little witch, and only then realized that the little witch's eyes were a little red.

"Did you really spend all night reading? Didn't I tell you to rest early?" Andy said.

"A momentary lapse of attention."

Hermione yawned, "By the time I noticed the time, it was already past ten in the morning. I'll go to bed early tonight, I won't miss class tomorrow."

Okay!

Walking into the Great Hall, Andy and Hermione made their way to the Ravenclaw long table and sat down.

After casually eating something, Hermione talked about her discovery last night, "I read in a book that Egypt is the birthplace of magic literacy."

"That's the consensus of many scholars." Andy nodded.

Hermione continued, "The ancient Egyptians used hieroglyphics to record magic, and the book said that magic was created shortly after the creation of the world, under the form of the god Hecca ..."

Hermione rambled on about quite a few records of the ancient Egyptian magical world, talking about myths and religious legends, as well as quite a few cultural and historical events in Ancient Egypt.

Towards the end, Hermione had a look of yearning, "Ancient Egypt's magical world is so fascinating."

Ancient Egypt?

Andy's heart was also hooked on Ancient Egypt's magical world, in the future, if he had the opportunity, he would go over for a trip and meet the wizards there.

"Is that all?" Andy asked.

Hermione glared at Andy, "Isn't this enough? If you want to explore the origins of magic, you should visit Egypt first."

Andy spread his hands with a helpless face, "Before we go to Egypt to have a look, we have to learn the ancient languages and runes first. Otherwise, even if we do find something, we won't be able to read the meaning of it."
