It would be a lie to say that Andy didn't desire the Obscurus at all.
The power of the Obscurus was recorded in many books, and once it flared up out of control, it might be an exaggeration to say that it could destroy the world, but it would be more than enough to destroy a few streets.
However, the Obscurus getting out of control was a huge obstacle in Andy's way.
Andy had read many books and looked up a lot of information, but he could never find a solution.
As for experimenting with the Obscurus...
Andy had never thought about it.
It was fine to experiment on a dark wizard like Reed, but if you experimented on a child... Andy believed he had a certain bottom line.
Of course, if the Black family had research data on the Obscurus, then that would be perfect.
Especially...
Andy glanced at Sirius.
Especially... this guy was still a prodigal son!
"Andy, I've read the paper you wrote, and you have a very correct understanding of the Obscurus."
Sirius explained: "Only unstable magic can give birth to an Obscurus. And both negative emotions and the power of dark magic have a certain degree of instability."
"But after the age of ten, the magic in a young wizard gradually stabilises. It has nothing to do with magic but is caused by physical growth."
"Obscurus are magical beings. They may not be very intelligent, but they have the instincts of life. When the environment becomes unsuitable for them to survive, they will naturally escape from your body."
That's really easy to understand!
"Sirius, it's a pity that you're not going to be a professor," Andy teased.
"I agree!"
Sirius raised an eyebrow and said, "If Remus doesn't last until the next year, I can take his place. Hmm... Snape might be ready to welcome me."
Andy: "..."
Professor Lupin has matured a lot, but Sirius is still the same young man he was.
"Really? That's great!" Harry and Ron immediately became excited about the news.
If Sirius became the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, then they would both have someone on the professor's team.
Andy ignored the conversation between the others and instead pondered the question of Obscurus.
Sirius' explanation was indeed easy to understand.
The Patronus Charm was white magic, which was why the Patronus was so stable.
But Obscurus was dark magic.
Dark magic is inherently unstable, and Obscurus is a magical creature born from negative emotions.
Negative emotions are inherently volatile.
As the young wizard grows, his magic gradually stabilises, and it becomes unsuitable for Obscurus to live on.
'Can happy emotions create Obscurus?'
Andy quickly dismissed the hypothesis.
Because happiness does not need to be suppressed!
'Suppress...'
Andy quickly thought of the key factor in creating Obscurus.
First, emotions arising from 'external factors related to magic'.
Second, using the power of these emotions to suppress unstable magic, thereby facilitating the fusion of the two.
In the process of creating Obscurus, negative emotions are never the most critical.
Because it is the power of the mind that merges with magic.
Negative emotions are just one type of mental strength.
So the question is: 'Is there a positive emotion that can replace the negative one through magic?'
Love? Protection? Justice?
Andy thought about it for a long time but couldn't come up with anything, so he had to put the question aside for now.
He chatted with Sirius and the others for a while, and when it got dark, everyone dispersed.
On the way back to the castle, Hermione turned to Andy and asked with a worried look, "Andy, you're not thinking of researching the Obscurus, are you?"
Knowing Andy, Hermione almost dared to swear to the creator that Andy must have been tempted by the power of the Obscurus.
Or perhaps Andy had already been tempted a long time ago, but because he could not solve the hidden danger of the Obscurus being separated from its host, he had kept putting it off until now.
"Obscurus is the power of dark magic..."
Hermione paused, then continued, "Even if we don't talk about dark magic, Obscurus is very dangerous. Andy...no Obscurial has ever lived past the age of ten."
Andy shrugged nonchalantly, "Of course not! I don't want to die yet."
Hermione looked at Andy suspiciously, saying with a face full of distrust, "I hope you're telling the truth."
"Of course!" Andy assured her.
Speaking of the Obscurus, Andy felt that this thing was a bit like the theory of 'unity of essence, energy, and spirit' in Eastern countries.
The unity of essence, energy, and spirit leads to rapid improvement in strength.
There is nothing fundamentally wrong with it!
If it is safe to create an Obscurus, Andy actually doesn't mind trying it.
Andy's talent in [magic] is only three points. As long as it is increased to four points, an artificial 'unstable state of magic' can be created, thereby completing the fusion of mind and magic.
In theory, Andy could become an Obscurial.
The key was the theory Sirius had mentioned.
Once the magic had stabilised, Obscurus would probably leave Andy's body... This was no longer a question of the loss outweighing the gain, but rather one of life and death.
'Maybe emotions aren't the key; the key is how to keep Obscurus inside...'
Andy thought to himself, 'Suppress it with willpower? Or... improve the body's adaptability to magic?'
Andy suddenly thought of Dumbledore's sister and nephew. They were both Obscurial, but they both lived over ten years old, and his nephew even lived to his twenties.
It is currently known that the ancestors of the Dumbledore family used magic transfiguration and stole the power of the Phoenix.
'Can the body after magic transfiguration suppress Obscurus?'
Andy had a headache.
I'm afraid that the answer to this question can only be concluded by experimenting on Reed.
After a long day of rambling, Andy and the others quickly returned to the castle.
"Andy, what are you going to do next?" Harry asked casually.
"Well... I want to go to the library and read for a while," Andy said.
Harry and Ron: "..."
"Read a book!?"
Ron looked at Andy with a strange expression and said in shock, "Man, we just dragged you out of the library."
"That's why I want to go back and continue reading and take a break," Andy said, spreading his hands.
Ron felt that he and Andy had completely lost the ability to communicate and quickly turned to look at Harry.
Brother, say something.
"I'll go too! Andy, let's go together!" Harry said with some shame. Obviously, back at Hagrid's hut, he had already made up his mind to work hard at magic and avenge his parents.
But as soon as he returned... all he wanted to do was play?
