Chapter 452 - Chapter 452: Direction of Investigation: What did Malfoy say to Collins?

People's happiness and sadness are never connected.

Just as Andy was basking in the joy of his success, the whole world seemed to have forgotten that someone needed comfort.

He was Harry Potter, the famous saviour of the wizarding world.

But it was okay.

At least Harry still had Ron by his side.

"Harry..." Looking at Harry, who was overcome with grief, Ron felt bad too.

He put himself in his shoes; if one day his parents were also killed by someone else, then the murderer got away, he would probably feel just as sad as Harry and then hate himself for being powerless.

"It must have been Snape!"

Harry's eyes were red, and he said with absolute certainty, "And Malfoy's father! They did it together. I don't think there's anyone else."

"Ron, do you remember?"

"After the start of the third year, Snape and Malfoy were like two different people. They must have planned it all along!"

The more Harry thought about it, the more logical it all seemed.

Since the start of the term, Snape had been smiling at him strangely, not deducting points, not putting him in detention, and not picking on him as much.

That was very unusual, wasn't it?

And Malfoy!

Malfoy went to meet Andy on the first day of school and several times after that.

But Andy only talked about their first conversation and never mentioned the others.

Andy only said that Dumbledore knew about it too.

At first, Harry didn't pay much attention.

But now, thinking about it, Snape and Malfoy must have done it to confuse them.

If they wanted to save Peter Pettigrew, they couldn't let Dumbledore and Andy find any clues.

That was why Malfoy had deliberately approached Andy.

Harry remembered that Andy and Malfoy had never spoken a word to each other in the first or second year.

"Maybe,"

Ron said a little uncertainly. "But... Harry, we have no proof."

To be honest, Ron also felt that Snape and Malfoy had been acting very strangely lately, so he quickly believed Harry's assessment.

"That's why we need to investigate!" Harry said firmly.

"Okay..."

Ron said, "So what shall we do?"

Harry: "..."

Okay! This question really stumped Harry.

Over the past two years, Harry had investigated Snape more than once, and he had even been to Snape's office.

But the results had been nothing.

"Maybe we could start with Malfoy," Harry suggested.

Ron looked at Harry expectantly: and then?

Harry was silent for a moment.

He suddenly realised that he couldn't think of a fantastic idea except for night trips.

But night trips are...

They had already had a bit of a sneak-around, so Harry believed there would be no evidence in Snape's office, and they couldn't get into the Slytherin common room.

Not to mention that they had just made Gryffindor lose 200 points.

Harry was a bit afraid of sneaking around at night now.

But apart from night out, Harry couldn't think of any other way to investigate.

You can't just walk up to Snape and Malfoy and ask them, can you?

"I think we should get some help," Harry suggested.

Speaking of help... Harry and Ron couldn't help but think of Andy.

Andy was very good at magic and very clever.

"Oh, Andy was really cool today!"

"I believe he has already succeeded in confessing," Ron abruptly said.

Having said that, Ron always felt like he was missing something.

Harry was silent on hearing this.

Although he shouldn't think like this, Harry didn't really want to ask Andy for help at the moment—he was in the midst of his greatest grief, but Andy chose this moment to confess his love...

When he thought about this, Harry always felt a little uncomfortable.

He felt that Andy didn't care about his feelings at all (which was true).

"Ron, maybe we could ask Professor Lupin!" Harry suddenly said.

"For What?" Professor Lupin's voice suddenly sounded.

"Professor Lupin!" Harry jumped to his feet.

"Good afternoon, Professor Lupin," Ron said.

Professor Lupin came up to Harry and patted him on the shoulder. "I know you're upset. To be honest, I'm in a pretty bad mood myself."

"Sit down!"

Professor Lupin pointed to a bench in the entrance hall and took a seat. "What did you want to see me about?"

"Professor Lupin..."

Harry hesitated for a moment, then said firmly, "I think the person who rescued Peter Pettigrew was Snape and Malfoy's father!"

Professor Lupin did not say anything to show his disbelief; instead, he asked curiously, "Harry, why do you think so?"

Professor Lupin's attitude gave Harry a lot of confidence.

He immediately said, "Since the beginning of this semester, Snape and Malfoy have been acting very abnormally..."

Harry spoke for a long time.

He told him about his suspicions and the changes in Snape and Malfoy this term.

"They're Death Eaters; they have every reason to do such a thing, don't they?" Harry said at the end.

Professor Lupin was silent for a moment, then said kindly, "Harry, suspicions are not evidence!"

"I know!"

Harry immediately responded, "That's why we have to find evidence so that they can't deny it. It's just that..."

"Just what?" Professor Lupin asked.

Ron was unusually clever for once: "But we haven't thought of where to start investigating yet."

Ron didn't want anyone to know that he and Harry had been racking their brains for a while but couldn't come up with a single idea.

"Hmm..."

Professor Lupin thought for a while and suggested, "Maybe you should first find out what Malfoy and Collins actually talked about."

"That might be a key clue!"

"Collins is your friend; he won't deceive you. So for something he can't say, he simply told you, 'I can't say', rather than make a perfect lie."

"In other words, the first time Malfoy approached Collins, he might have said something like... well, something about wanting to get rid of me."

At this, Professor Lupin also felt a little embarrassed.

"Professor Lupin, you're right! We should definitely find out what Malfoy actually said to Andy." Harry suddenly felt as if a heavy weight had been lifted from his shoulders.

"Erm!"

Harry suddenly froze for a moment before saying, "Quirrell and Lockhart did have some...erm, Professor, I mean, Andy rejected Malfoy, didn't he?"

"Harry, I don't care about that," Professor Lupin said with a kind smile.

Ron spread his hands in resignation and said, "Professor Lupin, you also said that Andy won't tell us... so how can we make him tell?"
