Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 There are few honest people in the magical world

"Excellent, excellent!"

Ollivander put the wand away in its box and tied a delicate knot with a ribbon, "Pine usually chooses wizards who are self-reliant, with unique personalities that would even be considered isolated. For its part, the phoenix is an independent, and solitary creature..."

At this point, Ollivander shot Andy a slightly different look.

"Many Wandmakers insist that pine wands choose wizards who live long lives, and I recognise that - as I've never met any pine wand holder who died young. As for Phoenix, it represents rebirth by fire."

So, I can wander as I please?

Andy was a little excited.

Ollivander continued, "Wands choose wizards, Mr Collins, and I'm sure you'll do well in the future. But at school, you should try to make a few more friends."

"Well then, thanks for your patronage, seven gold galleons."

"Thank you, Mr Ollivander."

Andy took the wand case and handed Ollivander seven gold Galleons, but didn't leave immediately.

Originally, Andy didn't believe in the whole wand choosing a wizard thing, but this wand with pine wood and phoenix tail feather seemed to be extraordinarily fitting for him.

Any time traveller who comes to the world of Harry Potter, he believes, will pursue power and longevity. As for the love and friendship in Dumbledore's words - that stuff is fine if you have it, it seems that there is no need to deliberately pursue it.

Well, it was true that when you saw a girl you fancy, you had to take the initiative to pursue her, and Andy was very experienced in this regard.

As for being independent...even isolated...

Andy knew himself well enough to know that he was a common time traveller and possessed all the traits of a time traveller. Independence and longevity - it had to be said, it was as if the wand had been specially prepared for him.

"Mr Collins, is there anything else?" Seeing that Andy didn't leave, Ollivander asked with some curiosity.

"Yes!"

Andy frowned, "Mr Ollivander, you said that the wand chooses the wizard, but people's personalities are not set in stone..."

Ollivander was not impatient, instead, he explained patiently, "Of course, this situation is rare, but it is not unheard of."

"In fact, every wand is only a half-finished product, it will grow with the chosen wizard and gradually adapt to the wizard's personality and spellcasting habits. So even if the wizard suddenly has a change in temperament, the wand will change with the wizard."

"Remember, the wand is the wizard's most trustworthy companion."

"Thanks!" Andy nodded his head to show that he understood.

Although Ollivander's explanation was a bit idealistic, the magic world was supposed to be like this, and it didn't seem strange that wands had their own personalities.

"I'm also going to buy a wand care kit."

Andy decided that in the future, he would treat his wand like a girlfriend and try to make this wand fall in love with him as early as possible.

Well...if it was a witch, it would be possible to treat the wand like a boyfriend.

Well, maybe it's a little thin?

After buying his wand, Andy went to Madam Malkin's Robes to purchase three sets of Hogwarts school uniforms.

The school uniforms needed to be ordered and would be sent to Andy's house in three days.

After buying the wands and Hogwarts school uniforms, Andy went to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour and ordered a cup of ice cream, which he ate while waiting for Helen and Isabel.

Every time she came to Diagon Alley, Isabel would never go back without eating ice cream from this shop.

After waiting for about ten minutes, Helen held Isabel's hand and walked into the Ice Cream Shop, "I let the owl send the stuff back home. Andy, you and Isa wait here for a while, I have some things I need to take care of."

"Got it, don't worry!" Andy casually said.

Apart from the kind of particularly honest people, there were basically not many honest people in the magical world.

Everyone was a wizard who had mastered magical powers, so it would be strange to conclude that they hadn't done anything bad in secret.

Not to mention others, even the model good student like Hermione had already learnt bad things in less than a year after entering Hogwarts. From breaking school rules to breaking the law, none of it was a problem as long as they didn't get caught.

Helen was a Potions Master, and taking occasional forbidden potion orders didn't seem to be a big problem either.

Even if she was discovered by the Ministry of Magic, there was Kyle to help with the relationships. Not only that, there was always an illegal Portkey at home, so running away would only take a split second.

The cauldron of Polyjuice Potion that was boiling a month and a half ago had already been delivered a long time ago, and thus a large amount of gold Galleons had made its way into the family's vault.

To be honest, it was really somewhat abnormal to be as poor as the Weasley family in the magical world.

At first, Andy thought that muggle money could be exchanged with money in the magical world at will during the first few years when he travelled across the world.

Only after asking Helen did he realise that only the young wizards from the Muggle world could exchange a certain amount of money every year.

Helen felt sorry for this as well.

After she learnt that Muggle's money could be exchanged for gold galleons from her classmates in the past, she even went to learn the Imperius Curse and the Memory Charm, but it turned out that the Gringotts didn't have this service at all.

After waiting for about fifteen minutes, Helen walked into the Ice Cream Shop with a frown on her face, "Andy, Isa, it's time to go home."

"But I haven't finished eating yet," Isabel said pitifully, she didn't want to go home so early yet.

"You can eat when you get back home, mum's gotta do something important." Helen, without further ado, dragged Isabel out of the ice cream parlour.

After returning home through the fireplace, Andy looked at Helen and asked, "Do you need any help?"

"Well...it's an advanced potion that you can't handle."

"What is it this time?"

"Truth Potion!"

Well, Andy understood what was in store for this one.

Truth Potion was not absolutely effective, there were many ways to ignore the effects of Truth Potion, so this thing could not be used in occasions such as trials.

But when combined with a Cruciatus Curse, the Truth Potion was very effective.

Whoever bought this was definitely a dark wizard.

Helen went to make the potion, Isabel continued to eat the uneaten box of ice cream, and Andy, when he saw that there was nothing else to do, took his wand out of the box.

"Andy, are you going to cast a spell?" Isabel looked at Andy curiously.

"I want to try!"

Andy flipped open The Standard Book of Spells - Grade 1.

As a first-year magic spell textbook, the book "The Standard Book of Spells - Grade 1" only recorded nine simple spells, and these spells could be easily recognised as parlour tricks just by listening to their names, and they didn't seem to have the slightest bit of power.

But Andy was not disappointed at all.

It was true that the Charms class would only teach some basic magic, and the real attack-type spells, or defensive-type spells, were actually the contents of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

Quirrell, as the big boss of the first part, although his brain wasn't very good, he couldn't be just as watered down as the professor of the flying class, right?

After all, if he was going to disguise himself as a professor and wait for an opportunity to steal the Philosopher's Stone, he had to act like one.

If he really turns out to be a dud, won't he be sacked by Dumbledore?
