Tyla turned to leave, then she paused for a moment.
"One last question." she said, her voice low.
Silax raised an eyebrow, silently granting her permission.
"Your deal with Florin… it's not going to be just taking a cut of the profits from the mining operation?"
A cold glint entered Silax's eyes.
"Yes, Tyla. My needs now extend far beyond a mere percentage. I intend to have a say in the selection of mined gems. That would guarantee a steady supply for Maku's store."
Tyla's lips pressed into a thin line, then after a moment of contemplation, she nodded curtly.
"Just remember, the Dark-Elves are a proud tribe. Don't underestimate them, or their reach."
With that final warning, she took her leave, leaving Silax to stand alone in the hallway.
