ANNABEL'S POV:
Hi I'm Annabel Mason, the sister of Joshua Mason and this is my story.
"Mum always said that boys were distractions and being in a relationship with them means double the distraction."
I remember once what my mum had said about my cousin and how a boy ruined her life.
I have a crush on a guy in school. He's name is Jordan and he's the school's best sports player and all the girls are after him especially Tessy and by the looks of it, I don't think my dreams of being with him will come anytime soon. I don't know how to tell Mum because I know she'll lash at me but this time around I'll make sure to fulfill my dreams because I'm going to make him mine in this final year and that's my mission. Goodnight.
I closed my diary and called it a night.
RING!RING!
"Urgh...five more minutes." I murmured to myself as I switched off the alarm and went back to sleep. It wasn't up to five minutes when someone started knocking on the door and before I could say anything the person spoke.
"Anna dear, wake up or you'll be late." The farmiliar voice spoke as my eyes went wide open and I jolted out of bed.
"Yes mum." I replied and rushed into the bathroom.
I can't believe this. It's the first day of school and the first day of a new session and also the first day to begin my goal. I can't just wait to see Jordan. I quickly had my bath and got changed into my uniform and sat in front of my dressing table looking at the different creams, glosses and moisturizers. I was scrolling through YouTube last month and saw a video on how you can impress a guy and one of the things was a total make over, so that's what I'm going to do. I started learning how to do my own makeup and since then I became a pro. I quickly applied my makeup and once I was done, I looked at myself in the mirror one last time and grabbed my backpack from the chair and headed downstairs.
I walked downstairs and into the dinning room to see mum and Joshua seated, already waiting for me. I quickly rushed over and sat down opposite mum.
"Good morning." I greeted.
"Morning, what! What's that thing on your face?" She asked almost freaking out as Joshua just laughed.
"Mum relax, it's just some lipgloss and powder." I stated.
"You shouldn't have done all this, you're beautiful even without makeup." She stated.
"I know, I just felt like doing it." I shrugged.
"Fine but I hope this won't affect your studies." She warned.
"I promise it won't."
"Are you guys through I need to get to school now." Joshua suddenly spoke.
"And since when did you start going to school early." I questioned.
"Since today, now hurry up I'll be waiting in the car and don't take long." He said and left.
"Mum don't tell me... he's still thinking about her?" I asked as mum could only sigh.
"I guess so."
"Don't worry mum, I'll speak to him." I assured her.
"Thank you."
"Okay bye."
************
"Joshua we need to talk." Annabel said once she entered into the car.
"Driver start the car." Joshua said without glancing at his sister.
"Yes young master." The driver nodded and started the ignition.
"Joshua I'm talking to you." She said almost raising her voice at him.
"I know and I can hear you." He replied.
"Is it because of Ariana?" Annabel asked as Joshua widened his eyes but he immediately composed himself and looked out the window.
"You should just tell her the truth." Annabel said as she placed her hand on his shoulder.
"And you'll think she'll forgive me." He laughed coldly.
"I know she will."
"You don't know her, she not like other girls I've had before, she's different...I like her but it's all because of that silly bet." He stated.
"Calm down! I'll make sure she forgives you."
"Really? And how are you going to do that?" Joshua asked looking at his sister with suspicion in his eyes.
"Just leave it to me."
"Driver, take us to the sweet shop beside Crown Academy." Annabel stated as the driver nodded.
"Yes Young Mistress."
"You'll get her favorite chocolates and you know the rest...tell her the truth."
"I'll drop by the school gate, so you'll head to the candy store."
"Okay, thanks."
" I know right, I learnt from the best." She said as they both laughed.
"Young Mistress, we're here." The driver said as he opened the door for her.
"Thanks."
"Bye brother."
"Bye."
ARIANA'S POV:
It's another day, another term, another session, another school. I didn't expect I'll be changing schools anytime soon but we can't actually tell what the future holds. The past three months of my life had been hell. First I found out the person I liked, placed a bet on me and secondly, I found out he had an affair with my arch nemesis Mia (his childhood friend). I couldn't stand the heartbreak anymore so I told mum and that was when she decided I'll change my school and now I'm going to Crown Academy.
I looked at myself in the mirror looking lost and dejected. I couldn't still believe this hurt so badly like it just happened yesterday. I just have to hold it together and sail through my final year of highschool without getting into trouble.
I headed downstairs and saw mum and dad in the dinning room having breakfast.
"Good morning baby." Mum greeted as I sat beside her.
"Are you okay darling?" Dad asked as he held my hands.
"Yes, I'm fine."
"You sure."
"Yes I'm totally alright."
"Then can we go." Dad asked as he stood up and grabbed his car keys.
"Yes Dad."
"Bye mom."
"Bye and take care and I also packed lunch for you." She waved.
"Thanks mum."
