Chapter 24 - Mysterious Technique: Flow Like Silk.

The sun shun like any other day, illuminating the surface of the Earth. Fenix let out a slight grunt, as he immedialety struggled to his feet.

Arriving inside the bathroom,he washed himself, getting dressed afterwards.

After he finished with all this, his eyes had finally cleared. He wasn't feeling sleepy any longer. He stretched his body, as he felt countless bones straightening continously.

Glancing at his PMH smartwatch, he immediately made way for the library as indicated by a red dot after he had tapped on the library through the search engine.

He had a light smile on his face, as he made his way through verdant lushes of trees, the environment was truly intriguing and heart calming.

He felt a serene, cool feeling washing over him, as the cold wind continously soothed his skin. He passed by countless residents, which had various students coming out of them respectively.

It seemed most of them where either making their way for lecture classes or going somewhere else, just like he was doing right now...

He passed by a battle arena where various students were sparring. Reminding him of how it was back then. How he and his siblings usually sparred.

"Those days were truly the best." Fenix muttered with a light smile, as he shook his head.

Clearing all thoughts away from his mind, before he glanced up as he saw a gigantic building before him. His eyes easily pierced through the distance, arriving before a middle aged man who sat down on a chair and had a desk placed before him.

'He guessed it was none other than the library elder.'

He had a light smile on his face, as he immediately took a step into the library.

"Kiddo, are you lost or what." Elder Fang questioned, upon seeing the New-Cadet uniform worn by Fenix.

'How could a New-Cadet have any points worthy enough to receive a technique.' Elder Fang narrowed his brows, as his eyes finally locked onto the golden star shaped object on top of Fenix's uniform.

"No, greetings Elder. I came to look for some combat techniques that can further augment by combat strength." Fenix replied with a light smile on his face.

One which he had forced, after all who knew if the Elder was the kind of type that would just throw one or two awesome techniques at him if he performed his smiling-facade well enough.

'Of course, everyone wants to augment their combat strength, if only it was that easy.'

Elder Fang shook his head as he suddenly replied with a light smile.

"Come closer."

Fenix had a raised brow, as he immediately moved forward. Appearing before Elder Fang with suspicion obvious in his eyes.

"No need to be wary kiddo. I just need to check your points." Eldr Fang said with a smile as he tapped on Fenix's PMH smartwatch.

And immediately after he did that, he had a raised brow as his voice suddenly tore through the air.

"500 points."

"Interesting." He further added with a narrowed brow.

Ad he thoroughly glanced at Fenix, who felt as though someone was seeing through him.

That feeling nerfed him a lot as he unconsciously circulated his True Origin Martial Scripture.

Which immediately calmed his mind as Elder Fang suddenly spoke.

"Your 500 points is enough to exchange for 2 top human grade technique and one middle human grade technique."

'Hmm...according to the library elder of the Asura Clan. That should be the lowest level of technique. But well at least now I get a proper combat technique. Not some petty martial form and all that.' Fenix had a light smile on his face as he thanked the elder.

Elder Fang immediately directed him towards the human grade combat techniques section.

Appearing before the human garde techniques section. Fenix saw countless techniques, each with mind blowing names.

"Nine life ending strike- a low grade human grade technique."

"Supreme Sabre strike- middle grade human grade technique."

But no matter how grand the names are, it still comes to their contents. And when he checked it, he was truly lost for words.

They were just some techniques which he somehow felt had countless loopholes. Almost as though whoever created the techniques wasn't in his or her right frame of mind when creating it.

He suddenly saw a technique, foundation spear technique-low human grade technique. This technique wasn't that grand nor was it that perfect. But upon taking a look at it. Fenix found out that it taught one the basics of the spear technique, and it not just teaches.

It embeds into one, the art of the spear. Every thrust, every piercing illustrated in the diagram didn't have a grandeur feeling, yet they had a great impact on Fenix.

"This is it." He murmmured, as he grabbed a hold of the technique.

"Seems that I will be going on the spear weaponry path then." Fenix muttered with a raised brow.

As he immediately attempted to leave the library, just as he was about to leave.

At the top grade human grade technique section, he suddenly caught sight of a tattered book.

Calling it a rag would do no justice to how tattered it looked.

"Reaaly, is this even a book." Fenix muttered while shaking his head.

Just as he was about to pass bye, completely leaving the tattered book behind, he suddenly felt reluctant. Almost as though he would regret leaving the technique behind.

"Doesn't hurt to check anyways." Fenix muttered, as he grabbed a hold of the technique.

And on it read: Flow Like Silk...

"Interesting." He murmured, as he immediately took a look at the technique.

And he couldn't help but be amazed and most importantly surprised.

*Move with water, let your body flow seamlessly with water. Move with the wave, let your body be guided by the wave. Feel the wave around you and let them augment your strength. Let your mind be clear and calm, your heart be at peace... Only then can the wave be with you. Only then can the wave be superimposed. And only then... Can the endless tidal wave be birthed.

Note: If you aren't confident in your Physique, if your physique isn't amongst the best of the best, then I will sincerely advise against training in this technique of mine.*

Fenix glanced at the words, that were most likely left behind by the creator of the technique.

He felt as though the words had some hidden meaning behind them. But perhaps, it was too far away from him. And he would need to pay it a lot more attention before being able to grasp the hidden meaning behind those words.

"seems that I am also taking you then." Fenix said, before his hands slowly made way to close the technique, when he suddenly noticed a mind blowing fact.

One that almost made him drop the technique.

The technique was actually... Incomplete.

"How the hell am I supposed to train in an incomplete technique." Fenix mused, as he realized that almost every page had at least two or three missing diagrams or instructions, in fact some pages were completely blank.

Almost as though those parts had been torn away...

"Who in the heavens name would do such a thing." Fenix roared out in anger.

He felt reluctant, he didn't want to drop this technique. He had this strange feeling, that it would be of great importance to him.

He exhaled lightly as he finally came to a conclusion.

He grabbed a hold of the technique.

"This technique, am taking it. As for the incompleteness, what I have always taken pride in after all is my comprehension ability. I should be able to crack the meaning behind those words and comprehend this technique."

Fenix mused to himself, as he slowly made way towards the desk.

Appearing before Elder Fang, he dropped the two techniques on the desk.

Elder Fang had a raised brow, as he assessed FENIX'S choice of technique.

"Foundation Spear Technique and the incomplete technique, flow like silk." Elder Fbg muttered with a narrowed brow, as he glanced at Fenix who had a wide grin on his face before he slowly shaked his head as he spoke.

"Are you sure about this."

Fenix nod his head in reply. Elder Fang exhaled slightly, grabbing a hold of Fenix's hands, he exchanged the points while speaking...

"Alright, it's your points anyway. Though I will give you a leeway, you can come and drop the flow like silk technique if you feel like you can't cultivate in it. As for the foundation spear technique, I support your choice. Since it probably means you want a solid spear foundation before training in an advanced spear technique. Which is actually quite commendable, since most young ones of now a days, forget that foundation is the key to success. And for this choice of yours, I have decided to givew you a discount : You can take the two techniques for 300 credit points only."

"Thanks Library Elder." Fenix had a light smile on his face as he gave a modest bow.

"Just call me Elder Fang. Anyways take the techniques. Also I will advise that you visit the weapon store room. You might be lucky and chance upon a good spear."

"Thanks Elder Fang." Fenix immediately replied, he was about to ask for the location of the weapon store room when he suddenly remembered about the search engine which Moneca had taught him about.

He got a hold of the two techniques, as he slowly made way out of the library. Immediately heading for the weapon store room...
