Chapter 84 - It's just too cold.

"Good, are all the scans and reports here? Let me take a look," Ye Xiu asked.

Hearing Mr. Feng's words, Ye Xiu relaxed a little.

"Yes, yes, they're all here. I'll get them for you," Mr. Feng hurried to the bedside cabinet and fetched a pile of scans and reports for Ye Xiu.

Ye Xiu took the reports and scans and began to examine them carefully.

"Dr. Ye, how does it look?" Mr. Feng asked nervously. Although the attending physician had already told him everything was fine, he felt more at ease seeing Ye Xiu—whom he considered a truly skilled doctor—reviewing the reports.

"It looks fine. Mr. Feng is quite fortunate. The tumor is in a relatively manageable location and should be fully removable with surgery. By the way, who is Mr. Feng's attending physician?" Ye Xiu asked casually after putting down the reports, smiling.

From the reports and scans, it seemed the situation wasn't too serious, but the attending physician still played a crucial role in treatment and surgery.

"It's Dr. Zhao Ruobing, the one who was on the news today," Mr. Feng replied, showing a hint of excitement.

"Oh, her. Mr. Feng is indeed lucky. Dr. Zhao is very skilled; there shouldn't be any problems. You can rest assured," Ye Xiu said, a bit surprised at the coincidence, but then smiling, feeling completely at ease.

If Zhao Ruobing was handling Mr. Feng's surgery, there shouldn't be any issues.

"Yes, thanks to you, Dr. Ye! We're really lucky," Mr. Feng said gratefully.

Initially, Mr. Feng had been hesitant about Dr. Zhao Ruobing, a young doctor who rarely spoke and always seemed cold. He had considered asking for a different doctor. But after seeing the news today, he was pleasantly surprised by her skill.

"I can't take credit for that; it's Mr. Feng's good fortune," Ye Xiu said with a smile.

Ye Xiu didn't stay long. After chatting with Mr. Feng a bit more, asking about his condition, offering some comforting words and advice, he took his leave.

"Dr. Ye is truly a great doctor! If only there were more doctors like him these days," Mr. Feng said with genuine admiration as he watched Ye Xiu's slightly tired figure disappear down the hallway.

Just as Mr. Feng was about to turn back into the ward, he heard a brisk set of footsteps behind him.

"Dr. Zhao?"

Mr. Feng turned to see Zhao Ruobing, in casual clothes and looking a bit tired, approaching. His face lit up with excitement.

Zhao Ruobing nodded and walked into the ward.

She had hidden in the operating room to avoid the pesky reporters after rounds and had just completed a high-difficulty surgery. After arranging the follow-up in the ICU, she decided to check on Mr. Feng before leaving.

Watching Zhao Ruobing enter the ward, Mr. Feng couldn't help but admire her beauty. Without the white coat, her stunning appearance was even more evident.

"Has someone been here?" Zhao Ruobing asked, noticing the reports by the bed.

"Yes, Dr. Ye from Respiratory Medicine came by to check on us. I gave him the reports to look at. Dr. Ye is such a good doctor. Even after we've been transferred, he still cares about us," Mr. Feng quickly explained, praising Ye Xiu.

Hearing it was a doctor from Respiratory Medicine, Zhao Ruobing was slightly surprised. It was uncommon for doctors to check on transferred patients, especially those with tumors, due to potential liability. That a respiratory doctor would come by was unexpected.

Her brows furrowed slightly as she asked, "Did he say anything?"

Sometimes, well-meaning actions can cause problems. Cross-departmental advice can confuse patients and complicate treatment. Patients often trust their original doctors more, leading to misunderstandings.

"No, Dr. Ye just asked about our situation and told us that your medical skills are excellent, and we should trust you," Mr. Feng replied, realizing it was inappropriate to praise another doctor in front of Zhao Ruobing and quickly adding this to smooth things over.

He wasn't lying; Ye Xiu had indeed said that.

Hearing that Ye Xiu hadn't given any unsolicited advice, Zhao Ruobing's expression softened. She nodded and began examining Mr. Feng.

"Everything looks good. Prepare for surgery the day after tomorrow. The anesthesiologist will come by to discuss the details with you," Zhao Ruobing said after confirming there were no significant changes in Mr. Feng's condition.

"Yes, thank you so much, Dr. Zhao!" Mr. Feng said excitedly.

The sooner the surgery, the sooner his father's tumor would be removed, and the sooner he could be at ease.

Zhao Ruobing nodded, checked on another patient, and then left.

Dr. Ye is so kind, always smiling and making people feel comfortable, Mr. Feng thought as he watched Zhao Ruobing leave. Dr. Zhao is excellent, but so cold and quiet. Interacting with her is stressful; I can't imagine how she'll find a boyfriend!
