Chapter 29
Kim Hae-yoon held Cho Shiye's hands as they got out of their car, the guards were blocking the reporters as they all flashed their cameras.
Cho Shiye was wearing a gorgeous white dress, it's specifically handpicked by Kim Hae-yoon after numerous discussions with Cho Shiye which wasn't fruitful as Cho Shiye's choice of style is… questionable.
Kim Hae-yoon looked at her and smiled proudly, the long white dress that seemed to glisten as light hit its directions due to the precious gems that grinded and poured around like glitter, the fluffy shawl made out of the fur of an animal from distant lands of the empire.
She clutched Cho Shiye's hands tightly, shielding her away from the cameras that kept flashing in their direction.
Cho Shiye noticed what Kim Hae-yoon was trying to do and held back her laughter as she smiled. Kim Hae-yoon looked quite stunning in her sleek red dress, Cho Shiye couldn't take her eyes off of her as Kim Hae-yoon looked so graceful on her dress that you couldn't help but be captured by her.
Cho Shiye blushed as she felt an indescribable feeling building up inside her stomach, she held Kim Hae-yoon's hands as her heart beat loudly. She leaned towards Kim Hae-yoon for support as she closed her eyes.
Kim Hae-yoon noticed it and sighed. She planned on going in here in a disguise but her uncle and other loyal advisors advised her to attend the concert as the empress to boost her public image.
She clutched Cho Shiye's hands tightly as she looked at her apologetically, she leaned closer and whispered. "I'm sorry."
Hearing her hushed tone of voice and the charming eyes of Kim Hae-yoon closely, their bodies brushed against one another as every breath, every gulp, and every strong resounding heartbeats were heard. Silencing the chaotic world around them as they both blushed, looking intimately into one another.
The reporters immediately caught the scene with their camera, preparing to make articles as Kim Hae-yoon jolted as she wrapped her hands around Cho Shiye and quietly entered the hall. Inside, she's greeted by everyone regardless of their stature with bright smiles.
"Your majesty!" Many called out as they tried to talk to Kim Hae-yoon but they were glared at and froze as Kim Hae-yoon strode faster towards their seats, not bothering to even greet them as she looked at Cho Shiye worriedly.
She didn't want this to happen as she knew Cho Shiye would feel pressured due to the attention, she observed Cho Shiye and smiled. Cho Shiye realized what she was doing but was too caught up by the fact that Kim Hae-yoon's hands were around her waist so she didn't bother to object.
As they reached their seats on the top where they could sit and watch properly, Kim Hae-yoon let out a big sigh of relief as she helped Cho Shiye to her seat. She took the seat next to her as she rubbed Cho Shiye's hands.
"Are you alright?" Kim Hae-yoon asked worriedly. Cho Shiye looked back at her and nodded with a look of disappointment after Kim Hae-yoon let go of her waist.
She really loved it when Kim Hae-yoon held her close, she felt giddy and couldn't stop smiling. She looked at Kim Hae-yoon's eyes and noticed that worried expression on her face as she chuckled.
While she may not be used to the paparazzi being keen and eager to take pictures or interview her, she was trained by the elders of the Cha family on how to act or react in front of the press as one of the daughters of Count Cha.
Cho Shiye smiled at Kim Hae-yoon who seemed to be extremely worried as she held her hands tightly, reassuring her that she's fine and seemed to calm Kim Hae-yoon a bit.
"I'm not gullible enough to not be okay over something like this." Cho Shiye replied. "And besides, you're the one who seemed to be nervous." She teased as they both laughed.
"What do you mean nervous, I'm not nervous look." Kim Hae-yoon smiled widely as Cho Shiye chuckled and nodded.
"How is a smile going to prove that?" Cho Shiye asked as she cracked up a laugh.
Kim Hae-yoon held Cho Shiye's hands as she admired her laughter. Cho Shiye's laugh was like music to Kim Hae-yoon that she couldn't stop herself from listening to it with a smile on her face.
'Not even the music that would be played tonight or even created by every living musical prodigy could be a match to this.' Kim Hae-yoon looked at Cho Shiye in awe as she kissed her hands. 'And no amount of painters, all over the world even if they come together, could replicate that sweet gorgeous smile in that beautiful face of hers. Her eyes that seemed to wet in joyful tears could be so alluring…'
Cho Shiye blushed when Kim Hae-yoon kissed her hands as she looked at her in deep admiration, the love embedded in those eyes could never be reenacted even by those talented actors. Kim Hae-yoon's love for her goes deeper than words could say and she could feel that as the two kept looking at each other in silence with smiles on their faces.
Cho Shiye awkwardly laughed, "What's wrong?" She asked as Kim Hae-yoon just shook her head.
"It's nothing," Kim Hae-yoon replied. "You're just very beautiful tonight." She added as Cho Shiye paused and looked at her with a blush on her face.
A reporter who's allowed inside to document the concert had been observing the imperial couple and took pictures discreetly, capturing every candid moment that the two shared as they both looked at one another passionately.
'May you two stay for eternity, your majesty and royal consort!' He prayed silently in his heart.

The hall became dim as the lights slowly turned off, focusing only on the stage as everyone ceased their chatter and observed the stage. Cha Seo-yoon stood quietly on the stage, she looked at the audience and picked up her violin as she got into the right posture and started playing.
Cha Seo-yoon closed her eyes as her hands moved rhythmically as if it's natural for her as she dominated the stage with just the music coming from her violin. Her music evoked an emotion of sadness throughout the audience as some teared up, their eyes filling up with tears and they sobbed.
The audience cried, reminiscing about their past lovers, deceased family members, or everything that they held dear as the mellow violin sound swayed their hearts.
Kim Hae-yoon hadn't heard Cha Seo-yoon play like this, while she would often play a bit to show Kim Hae-yoon as she teaches her, she wouldn't play it whole for Kim Hae-yoon to see how great Cha Seo-yoon truly was.
Kim Hae-yoon heard sobs coming from her side as she looked at Cho Shiye who's tears were streaming down her face. Kim Hae-yoon smiled, her eyes slowly tearing up as well as she pulled a handkerchief from her purse and wiped Cho Shiye's tears.
Cho Shiye was too focused on the performance she didn't notice Kim Hae-yoon as her cries slowly became loud and her tears seemed to flood. Kim Hae-yoon wrapped her arms around her and rubbed her back, silently comforting Cho Shiye in her arms.
Cho Shiye remembered her mother.
