A sacrifice was triggered – her body in exchange for the true power of the Holy flames.
Her body burned in the whitish flames just as his soul sickle reached for her neck, but the blade was burned to bits and Rem withdrew his fingers which had already gone up in flames – burning with ethereal energy. At first he tried to channel his healing power into them but the fingers did not regenerate, instead they kept burning faster engulfing his entire palm.
"Damn," He cursed under his breath as he instantly released crimson flames, engulfing the white flames by it and charring his palm beyond recognition in the process but it had helped to suppress the white flames from reaching other parts of his body… or he would have to combust them as well.
