Is justice truly served when the criminal lies freely untouched? It's a big lie, they always say, "let the law exact its punishment," but must we silently endure the torment of their feeble retribution, while our wounds fester and our cries for vindication echo unanswered in the darkness? How amusing.
"Enough, Lith.." Vixen said calmly.
Anastasia remained silent, engrossed in her laptop screen. Vixen placed her steaming cup of coffee on the table, casting a worried glance.
"I know what I'm doing, so don't worry," she assured.
"Even so, I'll still protect you. I know you haven't gotten the justice you seek, so I'll help you," he smiled warmly.
As voices mingled in the room, a solitary knock pierced the air like a whispered secret amidst a cacophony of chatter, demanding attention with its unexpected intrusion.
"This is Zenith! I have news." he said, as if he had discovered a significant event.
He entered immediately after knocking on the door, sweating profusely and seemingly struggling to catch his breath. He looked at the two, as if they were about to discuss something important.
"Before I say anything, make sure I'll get my salary, okay?" he said, laughing teasingly, while Lilith was visibly annoyed and slapped him hard.
Vixen chuckled at her action, "There you go, you might end up spending all your money on hospital bills," he laughed.
"I'm just kidding," he said, touching his flushed cheeks. "That hurts," he added, looking at her as if he's about to cry.
"Shh. Why are you crying over something like that?"
"Hey Kai! You're visiting now, huh?"
"Just busy," he grinned. His voice alone sounded so pleasing to the ears, but it contrasted with his personality.
"Hey, little doll, aren't you going to greet me? Like you're happy to see me," he said, scratching his head as he laughed.
"What do you think this is, a classroom? Do you want me to carry your bag and greet you with 'Good Morning, Classmate'?" she retorted irritably, grabbing Zenith's attention. "So, what are you going to say, or should I cut off that..." she looked down, then grinned menacingly.
Terrified, he quickly covered her lower part with both hands. "Okay, okay, I'll say it. This wouldn't happen if you paid me properly," he said to his mind.
"Did you say something?" she asked, showing the knife she had pulled out from her drawer.
"N-nothing," he said with a smile, trying to save his life. ""Earlier, I heard from the Strategy Department about Chairman Choi's event tomorrow. It's not just any event, many wealthy individuals from different countries will attend. One of the attendees will be Prospera Sol. Corporation, so it seems like an opportunity for our plans, Madam."
Lilith walked towards the bulletin board and marked one of the people there with red. The people there looked at her.
"This means, we can manage to enter their stocks by.."
"Me," she grinned at them. "Let's start now, so prepare yourselves. This is a big battle among investors, and I'm pretty sure something dirty will happen, that's why they made it an open event. That's what we'll find out."
"That's right, I found out last week about their financial status. It seems like their sales have dropped, among other things. So, it seems like they want to win over DataVantage to invest in them. Right? They're still undergoing inspection, someone reported them for violating privacy. I'm curious what that's about, but anyway, I will volunteer to check the security footage, maybe I'll find out more," he said as he sat on the couch, looking at the bulletin board.
"I'll join you, Lilith. We need to convince them that you're not alone in the business industry, right?"
"Yeah, it's risky if it's just you." Kai said.
"Fine." she sighed.
"Let's be alive, okay?" Vixen added.
They all laughed when Lilith's cellphone suddenly vibrated in her pocket, so she took it out to answer.
"Lilith speaking..."
"Good evening, this is Lorenzo Inferno from Omni Trade Company reaching out to extend a formal invitation to you and your team to attend the 'Converge Summit' hosted by our company. We believe your presence would greatly contribute to the success of the event. Could you please confirm your availability?"
Upon hearing that, she smiled and quickly responded, glancing at her teammates. "Yes, I will be there," she said with a smile. "Thank you, Ma'am. I will send the card invitation on your way home," she said before hanging up.
"Was that them?"
"Yes, I need you to do something."
"Sure."
"Meet, Francia at 6:00 pm have dinner with her, please."
Kai had nothing else to do, so he just agreed. After that, they immediately planned their next steps to get closer to the company they wanted to acquire.
"Crushing a big company isn't as easy as you think," said the grumpy man, standing at 6'0 tall.
"What's the point of having you here if you can't get it done? If it can't be done, then leave, it's that simple."
They fell silent and continued with the meeting plan led by their leader. Lilith suddenly grabbed her phone. "Scarlett Fox... how's the task I assigned to you? Make sure you don't fail," she said, taking a sip of her coffee.
"Copy."

At the La Belle Époque Bistro.
Francia was already there, and Kai was the only one left waiting. She looked stunning, dressed to the nines even though they were just going to eat.
"Hi!"
"H-hello. Have you been here long?"
"Not really," she smiled, "Let's order now, you might be hungry."
As they ordered, Kai suddenly felt awkward because the girl kept looking at him.
"I wonder what Lilith was thinking when she did this to me," he said to himself.
"Let's just wait, we'll eat soon," she smiled at him, "It's okay if there's no food, just looking at you is enough for me."
"What's gotten into this girl?" he said to himself, feeling like he was almost going crazy as he kept looking around until he saw someone important.
"Dante Noir?!!!"
