Allie stepped into the bathroom for her morning bath. When she woke up, Evan wasn't around, and she realized he hadn't returned.
She didn't mind and had her bath peacefully. When she was done, she slid into the thick bathrobe that covered her body down to her calves and stepped out of the bathroom.
Just as she closed the bathroom door, the bedroom door opened, and she met Evan's gaze.
He wasn't wearing what he had worn when he left last night, so she assumed he had slept elsewhere. She was a little curious, but she chose not to inquire about it. Maybe he had business elsewhere, or it was a personal matter.
While Allie paused to look at him, Evan noticed a droplet of water falling from her chin, then his eyes caught something on her neck.
"About the expo you mentioned last night…"
Allie trailed off as Evan stepped towards her, his eyes fixed on her neck. It wasn't long before she realized where he was looking.
