Chapter 81 - Bloody punishment for the fool

Allie didn't bother asking where Evan was going all night. It was none of her business, and she wasn't interested in knowing. As he said, she would enjoy her solitude, so having the entire house to herself didn't sound bad.

There was no light in the corridors of the building, but the faint light coming from a single lamppost outside, passing through the holes and wrecked windows, made it barely possible to see where one was walking inside.

Once Evan reached the upstairs, he placed one foot on a door and pushed it open without touching the rusty doorknob.

A man with a stern look on his face came to greet his boss.
