Allie's black heeled shoes clicked against the stone pavement as she stepped out of her car. She wore a full-sleeved black dress with a skirt that flowed down to her calves. Her hair was tied up in a slicked back bun, and she wasn't wearing her eyeglasses.
She stood near the large fountain in front of the Graywood mansion. With precise steps, she walked toward the main doors and pushed them open.
The eyes of a familiar servant slightly widened when she saw the young miss of the Graywood estate.
The maid quickly disappeared, and soon a man stepped into view, meeting Allie halfway. It was Norman, her father's assistant.
"They are waiting for you in the dining room, Miss Allie," said the man, his face expressionless. He wasn't surprised because he knew she was coming that day for lunch, and the Graywoods were expecting her.
