Feng Suyin waited patiently until the surgery was over. She was surprised at how fast Dr. Zhang was and how he was able to complete the procedure successfully. Now, they only needed to wait and see how Ji Yuzhe would recover from the surgery. As the minutes turned into hours, Feng Suyin found herself pacing in the hallway of the pediatric department, waiting for Jiang Yunyi to finish her rounds.
When Jiang Yunyi stepped out of the room and saw her friend standing there, a smile spread on her lips. She knew why Feng Suyin came to the hospital to show her support to Ji Yuzhe, but Jiang Yunyi couldn't help but wonder if romance was blooming between the two.
"Suyin, you are still here? How did the surgery go?" she asked, catching her friend's attention.
Feng Suyin looked up and sighed in relief.
"The surgery went well," she said, allowing Jiang Yunyi to lead her to the nearest vending machine to buy a drink.
