The moonlight illuminated the capital city of Praga, and the night was utterly silent.
In Fenrir's dimly lit store, the elderly man was about to close before the midnight, his usual routine. His hands moved slowly, wiping down the tables and also adjusting the items on display. His eyes fell on a sword, shining brightly, it was out of it's place. This sword is among his top-selling items.
"That girl... the one with white hair," He smiled softly, remembering how she had admired that sword earlier that day. "Her eyes had lit up when she held the blade, as if the sword had chosen her.. Maybe I'll offer it to them the next time they come again," he thought. "A good discount, half the price perhaps. A blade like this should be in the hands of worthy people."
He was jolted from his thoughts by a loud, sharp knock on the door. He found it unusual, "A customer coming at this hour?"
A feeling of discomfort hit him hard. His hand instinctively moved toward the sword direction, considering the potential need for it. "Thieves? maybe? No, something feels wrong..."
But he wish they were actual thieves.
The door was smashed open with a powerful foot kick. The sound echoed though the place as the door slammed the floor.
A tall unknown boy stepped inside, looked to be in his twenties. His dark-golden hair glimmered in the low light, while his muscular frame cast a long shadow. He had a twisted smirk and gleaming, malevolent eyes.
"We found him," He said with a wicked grin. "The one who leaked the info."
"Eldarion's gang..." Fenrir's eyes widened in horror.
The elderly man swiftly seized the sword and tried to intimidate with it. "Get out of here, if your life is important for you! My shop is closed, and if you want problems, I've dealt with worms like you before."
The smirk of the golden-haired boy wavered, but before he could respond, a cold chilling voice, pierced the silence.
"Oh, what a beautiful sword you have there," a girl's voice echoed from the darkness behind him. She stepped forward, her dark hair outlining her white face, and her red eyes shone like blood in the moonlight. It was Renne.
Her face showed no emotion, nearly detached, while she stared at the sword Fenrir held. "It would be such a waste to leave that blade in the hands of a relic like you. Don't you think it would be better suited for... cutting people?"
The elderly man felt a chill of dread wash over him. "You... Crazy People, have no right to take this! I'll call the Royal Guards if you ever try!"
Renne let out a soft amused laugh, dripped with arrogance. "The Royal Guards?" She took a slow step forward, while her eyes never leaving his. "Don't you know? Soon, they'll be gone. Yumix will be ours, and nothing you do will matter."
Fenrir's eyes narrowed. He gritted his teeth and tightened his grip on the sword quickly, and gave a firm smile "This blade belongs to someone who deserves it more than you scum."
Renne's eyes sparkled with mad amusement. Her laugh was colder and darker than before. "WONDERFUL! You really want to die for this, don't you?"
Before he could react, Renne darted forward with unbelievable speed, it was like a blur body moving. Fenrir swung the sword to defend himself. He managed to dodged her strike aimed at his hand, but she was already behind him, without anyone even realizing it.
"You're fast," Renne whispered with a smirk. "..But not enough"
In one swift motion, She smashed him in the back with a fierce kick, sending him crashing to the floor. Blood flow out hardly from his mouth as he struggled to push himself up. His vision started to weaken, and his strength was rapidly diminishing.
"I'm sorry... my son. Please... avenge us," he lamented inside himself, while his eyes facing a glimpse of the night sky through the window.
Renne stood over him with such an emotionless face. Without hesitation, she picked up the sword so fast from his weakening grip. "A beautiful blade, indeed."
With a single, cold movement, she swung the sword, and silence followed. Only the splatting sound of blood echoed in the stillness of the night.
Back to the P.H.G, in the quiet of the night, Hiroki was sitting in his bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. His mind was overwhelmed with thoughts.
"What is Yoru up to?" He frowned for moment, "Was she serious about her words?" What Yoru did still stuck in his mind. But before he could dwell on it, his thoughts shifted..
"Ayuri..." He sighed softly, remembering how she battled and took charge.
Then he collapsed relaxing onto the bed completely, while raising his left hand high in the air. "What is she doing now?" He wondered. "She's probably on another mission... She's always out there, stunning.. the one leading the pack and shining bright. How perfect"
"I want... to know more..." That was his last words, before sleep started taking over.
Elsewhere, in the embraces of the Kingdom, Seina Karino was finishing up her work in her office. She tidied up what was left on the table, and then her eyes drawn to the moon streaming it's light through the window. She leaned forward, resting her head on her hands in such a cool way.
"This moonlight beauty..." she murmured quietly to herself. "I wish it endures as long."
She closed her eyes, got up, while stretching her hands on the desk, feeling the weight of the night. "I guess the enemies started to roll out," she whispered softly. "But I'm all set. Let 'em show up."
Returning to the usual small hut, Yoru sat quietly next to Amaya, keeping watch over her while she is sleeping. The night was still, but Yoru's mind wasn't. As she glanced at Amaya, her eyes showed a blend of pity and caution, dulling their usual sharpness. She was afraid of the potential consequences of the future.
Amaya began to moan softly in her sleep, as if she might be having nightmares. Until Yoru patted her head, causing her to calm a bit.
"Don't worry, I... We will be always with you", she said
She murmured silently, before she permits her to sleep soundly. Clenching her fist, she stared up at the night sky, wondering what the near future will bring.
And so... the night passed quietly. But the events of the day had already shifted the course of fate for Hiroki and his companions. And future became shrouded in mystery, with an uncertain road ahead.
