In the land of Shadowfall, a battle rages to protect living beings against the Shadow Demons and their lord, Malakar. Humanity's greatest warrior, Kaelen Everblade, must lead the kingdom of Arvidia to war against the Kingdoms of Shadowfall.

Kaelen Everblade (Thinking): If I don't defeat Malakar here, the entire kingdom, no, the world will be conquered by Malakar.

Kaelen clenches his blade as various Shadow Demons attempt to kill him.

Kaelen Everblade (Pissed): Stormblade Technique, Chapter 9: Tempest Storm!

A strong wind eradicates the attacking force of the Shadow Demons, and a dark figure appears before Kaelen.

Dark Figure (Smiling): I didn't expect you to become this strong, Kaelen. A swordsman with grandmaster status shouldn't be underestimated, I guess.

Kaelen Everblade (Angry): Shut up and fight me, Malakar! You betrayed humanity and chose to become a Shadow Lord. How disgusting.

Malakar (Serious): I think it's time to end this fated battle between us, Kaelen. Are you sure death is what you seek?

Kaelen Everblade (Shouting): I won't let you destroy humanity because you seek immortality. Everyone around us has died in this war, my comrades. I will end this for them. Come at me, traitor!

Kaelen Everblade charges toward Malakar and swings his blade. Malakar dodges the blade and tries to counter, but Kaelen performs a swordsmanship technique.

Kaelen Everblade (Angry): Remember this technique, Frostblade Swordsmanship, Chapter 7: Subzero Slash!

Malakar's hand gets frozen, and Kaelen slashes it off. Malakar clenches his hand and looks at Kaelen, regenerating his arm.

Malakar (Angry): Why use a swordsmanship technique that's in the past? Fight me seriously, Kaelen!

Malakar charges toward Kaelen at frightening speeds and delivers a blow to his gut. Kaelen coughs up blood.

Malakar (Serious): See, Kaelen? This is true strength. You should become like me, join me, become my brother, just like the good old days.

Kaelen (Angry): I will never become like you, Malakar. I would rather die!

Malakar (Cold): Then die like everyone else!

Malakar creates a giant shadow sphere of darkness and aims it toward Kaelen.

Kaelen (Thinking): I don't know how I can stand up to this without dying... No, I can't give up. Everyone who died trusted me. Even if I have to use my life force, I will kill this bastard. (Shouting) Origin Swordsmanship, Final Chapter: Heaven's Slash!

Malakar fires the shadow sphere, and Kaelen charges at it, slashing through to make a final attempt to kill Malakar.

The attack successfully hurts Malakar, and he falls down. Kaelen, not being able to fully move having used his life force, is now dying.

Malakar (Laughing): This isn't over. I will be back long after you are dead. Who will stop me, Kaelen?

Kaelen (Angry): Shut up! There will always be someone to stop you. Just die, you traitor.

Kaelen stabs Malakar and looks up to the sky before falling on his back.

Kaelen (Crying): It's never going to end. He'll come back. I want to kill him so nobody can suffer again. But is this how it feels to die? I guess I will see you soon, Seraphina.

Kaelen puts his hand in the air, and it starts to rain. He closes his eyes, dying on the battlefield.

Kaelen opens his eyes and finds himself in a fancy-looking place.

Kaelen (Curious): Is this how heaven looks like? Pretty big lackluster. I thought it would be a huge white castle. Let's explore.

Kaelen tries to move around and stand up, but he can't. He lifts his hands up, and an elegant woman enters the room.

Woman (Smiling): How is my baby boy doing?

Kaelen (Thinking): Baby boy? What the hell happened to me?
