Ava remained still, her thoughts consumed by who would attend her funeral. Her mother and brother would be devastated. I hadn't even received my salary before I died, and it was only my second day here.
Why did I always end up in so much trouble? It sickened and annoyed me. "Ava," he finally said something, commanding me to lift my head. I obeyed and watched as he tilted his head to the left. "Get back to work!" he growled. Everyone turned their gaze away and continued with their tasks.
"Master, I..."
"Shh," he interrupted. He wasn't smiling or frowning. How was I supposed to know what was going on in that thick head of his? I thought he was leaving, so why did he turn back? "I will continue this little chat later. I have something more important to attend to," he said before mumbling something under his breath. "After cleaning my room, I want you to kneel and wait until I return. If you even think of disobeying me, I will know." And with that, he left.
Watching him walk away, I practically collapsed. "Are you okay, Ava?" Rose rushed to my side, concern evident in her voice. I shook my head. "Don't worry, the punishment won't be too severe."
"I didn't do anything wrong, right?" I asked Rose, looking around at all the maids who were minding their own business. "Maybe I should have just minded my own business and kept quiet. Look at where it has gotten me, Rose. I'm about to be killed!" Panic set in.
"You won't be killed," Rose murmured, bending down to my level. "You'll just bleed a little. That's all, nothing like being killed."
"How can you say that so calmly? I might bleed to death!" I screamed in fear.
"I feel bad for you, but I have to get back to work," Rose sighed. "Don't dwell on it too much, Ava. Damon won't do anything to you." She tried to assure me.
"Seriously? I just witnessed what he did to that other woman. How can you be so sure mine won't be worse?"
"You're special," Rose said, furrowing her brows. She chuckled. "I'm just trying to calm your mind here. Get back to work before he returns, or the punishment will double."
"Alright, alright, I will," I replied.
Rose helped me up, and in no time, I was done with the garden. I picked up the necessary items and made my way to the elevator. I selected the floor of his room and soon found myself inside. First, I cleaned his bathroom, then his balcony, and now I was in his bedroom, slowly arranging the bed.
It was so huge.
Moving to the closet, I stared at all his black t-shirts. There was no other color but black. "Blue?" My gaze landed on a blue sweater at the very end. I pulled it out and stared at it, inhaling its scent. It was a big sweater.
Shaking my head, I gently placed it back. I swept the bedroom, cleaned it, and then went downstairs to return the equipment I had taken. I sat down to eat lunch, although I cried through the entire meal, preparing myself for what was to come.
Damon didn't like tears, so I planned on getting them out of my system beforehand. "You won't die, Ava. I've gone through the pain. To him, he's correcting you, changing you into someone who respects the master," one of the maids mumbled.
"I think he's dominant," Rose whispered. "He loves women respecting him, likes them submissive."
"I have no idea what you're all blabbering about. I'm literally about to face death," I said, standing up and wiping my lips. "I might as well go upstairs and kneel, awaiting him."
"Be strong!" they all mumbled, and I smiled.
"Thanks," I murmured, making my way back to his room. I let my hair loose from its ponytail and stared at myself in the mirror. This might be the last time I see my reflection. "You look beautiful," I smiled, thinking of the necklace he had given me. I tried taking it off, but it wouldn't budge. The clasp was incredibly strong.
Why did he give me this? He said I looked good in it. It suited me.
Kneeling, I exhaled, remaining still. I had no idea when I fell asleep, but when I woke up, the sun was already setting, and Damon still hadn't returned. My date with Alex was drawing closer, and I didn't want to break my promise to go out with him.
As I was contemplating this, I heard the sound of Damon's car, bringing me back to the reality of my situation. I quickly knelt properly, waiting and praying that he would forgive me. I couldn't let him beat me up again; it might be too much to bear this time. The door opened, revealing Damon with blood stains all over his body, hair, and face. "You're still here?" he furrowed his brows.
Saying nothing, I watched him take off his clothes right in front of me. He wasn't even ashamed of it. I lowered my head, not daring to look up at his nakedness. He moved to the bathroom. What a perverted man, taking off his clothes in my presence.
His bath seemed to go on forever, and it was exhausting for me who just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. He put on his black shorts, leaving his chest bare as he sat on the bed and stared at me. I felt like this little girl who seemed to have a lot to say to him. "Lift your head," he commanded. I obeyed, revealing my red, tear-stained eyes. "You cried," he stated.
"Yes," I replied.
"I told you never to cry again," he frowned. "Didn't I?"
"You did, but it just came out. I couldn't stop it," I explained, my voice trembling.
"What do you have to say for yourself concerning what happened earlier?" he asked, his tone stern. She said nothing, just kept looking at him. "I asked you a question, Ava. Don't keep me waiting."
" I feel bad " she forced the words out of her mouth and that gained a half smile from me, oh I didn't plan on punishing her, I didn't even hear what she said earlier, I just turned around to tell Lady Martha about my whereabouts but then I saw her frowning and blabbering words I couldn't hear, I thought someone made her angry but when I asked who she was talking about, she mentioned me
" what exactly did you say about me, Ava?"
" I... I... I can't remember "She bites her lower lip and I chuckle before standing "You speak badly of me and now lying? What do you propose I do to you "
" don't kill me?"
" silly girl" Smiling I move to the balcony, sit on the chair then stare at her "Come here " I watch her stand to her feet and move towards my direction " I will not kill you, just a little punishment and I will only stop when you repeat what you said earlier " tapping my lap I watch her " lay across them"
" what?? "
" talking when I didn't permit you, another bad girl attitude, your punishment are lining up "I frown " am going to spank you Ava and I don't need all these slow responses. Lay on my lap now!"
She tucked her hair behind her ear before moving close and then laying on my lap, she does have a nice backside" You are heavenly gifted Ava. Your ass is beautiful and so soft " I have never been a shy person, I watch her hide her face "Has anybody ever done this to you before"
" no master "
Giving her the first strike of my slap she yelled " I told you earlier, it will hurt "Giving her another I watched her cry but I didn't stop "Will you tell me all I need to know now?"
" I don't remember the..." Before she could complete her sentence I slap her once again, am certainly getting a little pleasure from seeing her ass shake but she, on the other hand, is feeling pain.
" ouch!!" she cried, I could feel her tears drop on my feet " Please stop, it hurts!"
Ava cry and beg but he wasn't taking it, he need me to repeat what I said earlier and I don't want to but my arse is beginning to burn " I will say it" The moment I scream that he stop then rub my ass gently, am glad he didn't lift my skirt or anything like that.
"Now, start talking "
"I can't believe he treats humans like this, especially women. Someone needs to talk some sense into him. He can't behave as if he owns everyone. Who does he think he is?" I expressed my frustrations, longing for someone to intervene and make him see reason.
To my surprise, he responded with a smile. It puzzled me.
"Come," he instructed, and I reluctantly rose from his lap, moving closer to him. "Sit on my lap," he requested, and my eyes widened at the request. I hesitated, not wanting to experience another round of spanking, but his frown made me comply with his demand.
I didn't want to disappoint him.
He gently cradled my face in his hands, causing my heart to flutter. "That's a good girl, Ava. I don't like it when you lie or disobey me," he murmured. His fingers traced my lips, a slow and deliberate touch. "I want you to always be submissive to me, only me. No lies, no hiding things from me... is that clear?" I nodded my head, albeit with a hint of confusion.
The words Rose had said earlier returned to me. Perhaps he was a dominant who preferred his partners to be submissive.
"But I thought I was just your maid," the words slipped out before I could catch myself. He disliked it when I spoke without permission.
"You are," he leaned closer and whispered, "but a special one. One that I will take good care of." Our faces were mere inches apart. "It's time for you to go home, Ava. It's getting late."
I nodded, still processing the complex dynamics of our relationship. As I left, I couldn't help but wonder what awaited me in the days to come.
I thought he was going to kiss me, but the atmosphere around him suddenly changed. He stood up, grabbed his phone, and urgently made a call from the balcony.
He's so unpredictable, so difficult to understand. What did he mean by wanting me to be submissive, to never lie or hide things from him? Does that mean he likes me?
I can't believe he hit the woman he supposedly likes, even though it still hurts, at least he didn't beat me up like the last person did. "Ava, you can go home now," he said, glancing back at me with furrowed eyebrows.
"Of course," I replied, quickly checking the time before turning around to grab my bag. Suddenly, his voice startled me as he spoke from behind me. How did he move so fast?
"I forgot to ask," he said, turning me around to face him and placing his hand on my rear. My eyes widened in shock, but he didn't seem surprised at all. It felt as if he was checking to see if I was okay. "Does it hurt?"
I was tempted to say no just to make him let go, but he despised lies. "Yes, master," I replied. He looked down at me, saying nothing, but it felt as if he was studying my face, searching for any sign of deception.
"Okay," he finally said before moving away. There was no apology, just a simple 'okay'. As I stormed out of his room, I let out a tired sigh, exhausted from dealing with him and the constant sight of his face.
I can't stand that man.
