Chapter 1 - Year 0 - Hugo Fraser

Hello, my name is Hugo Fraser, and if you are reading this, you have decided to come on the short journey of my life, chronicled as one of the stories in the Bitlife Chronicles. I warn you, my story is full of struggles and awakenings, for someone who died so young. Keep reading and you'll see why.

I was born a male in Toronto Canada. My parents, Florence Fraser and father, Max Fraser conceived me in a Motel in Las Vegas. I wasn't planned, but my parents were happy when they found out the news. They had given up on having children so you can imagine my mother's relief when she got a positive pregnancy test.

I was born on May 27th, which apparently makes me a Gemini. I don't know what that means really at this point, I'm just a baby but apparently this is important. It makes me playful and intellectually curious, if you believe in things like that, I suppose.

My mother, Florence Fraser was 40 years old when she gave birth to me. She worked as a Grocer as Gagne supermarket. She always wanted something more for herself, but with only a secondary school education, she didn't give herself many choices. She always provided for me though, spoilt me, looked after me. I had a lot of love for my mother.

My father, Max Fraser was 60 years old when I was born. Your probably thinking, wow that's an age gap, but these days 20 years means nothing. As long as you're on the right side of adulthood of course. My father is a Police Officer/Lieutenant at Toronto Police Department. I used to think his job was amazing, it was my dream to be a Police Officer, just like him. If only my story was a happy one, where I could make my parents proud, and follow my dreams. Unfortunately, this is a tragic tale.

At this point though, I am just a baby, living my best life, choosing to wear a stupid hat that is too big for my head, but it made me look cute. I wasn't the best-looking baby, but I was attractive, people stopped to look at me in my stroller as my mum took me out into the community, I was a mediocre baby, happy most of the time, but not as happy as I could have been to make it easier on my parents. I was healthy though, and that's all they really wanted, they had a lot of hopes on me, I was learning at an average rate, they hoped I could go somewhere with my life, further than Toronto Canada, and excelling with my studies past a secondary school education like both my parents.

Follow my story to see how I meet my tragic end, and inevitably become the failure neither of my parents wanted.
