The service went quite well despite not having the proper figure to do the send off, of the first ones and despite Ezra's very interesting conversation with someone he didn't even know or recognize. Ezra wasn't even sure if what he experienced was either a vision or a dream, because whatever which one was it. It felt real.
The teams were always training and sparring with each other, and today wasn't so different except that instead of sparring each other. Today's training was sparing with other teams, all they needed to do was defeat the most teams in an elimination and whichever team win. Will the first team to be picked to receive the blessings.
And the instructor was none other than Solomon and his opposite team instructor was David, and each of them had the team groups of ten each, Solomon's group was team red and David's group group blue. Ezra's team was with David and their rival team which included Layla Blue, Gordon James, Katy Wilde, David Burner and Jefferson McCall. Over the passed few days these two teams were going toe to toe.
The tournament was talking place in a place of ruins Sodom, and the teams armoured up, the blue team. David's group wore silver armor and carried slingshots and bow and arrows, and the red team, Solomon's group wore gold armor and carried spears and swords.
"They carry swords and spears? That doesn't seem fair" Damian complained.
"Yeah, I'm also curious why do we have slingshots and bows while they have pointy sharp weapons?" Chris who was part of David's group asked.
"Hey guys don't forget I once took out a giant with a slingshot" David reminded them.
"Yeah we know and remember the story, but they aren't giants to us they look like little mad orgres" Chris and Damian responded.
The horn blows, and Moses stands in the centre of the the groups.
"Okay listen up I want a clean and fair game, which means no going all crazy and stupid" Moses looks at Solomon "oh yeah I mean you, now the game is simple all you guys have to do is make the other group surrender their weapons then the last standing group will determine who first between them goes first to receiving the blessings, okay" Moses informed them.
"But they have spears and swords, and we have hunting equipment" Damian protested.
"Hey, remember I defeated a giant with a slingshot which indicates that a weapon doesn't matter" David assured him.
"Your story was about size not weapon, now I'm concerned if you even knew the moral of the story" Damian worried.
"Enough chatter, let's go to war!" Solomon shouted.
Solomon's group all prepared their weapons and charged forward, screaming and grunting.
"Well, what are you guys waiting for? Go" David standing between them.
Both groups charged at each other and the war broke out, spears and swords fell on the ground. So did slingshots and bows. It wasn't even a minute or five and already half of both group's were already eliminated.
"Well this is disappointing" Solomon said.
"I know right" David agreed.
The battle between the groups was disappointing it's almost as if none bothered to give their all, they just did it because it was a tournament. Only three teams remained Ezra's team, Layla's team and Ben's team which included Ben Benjamin, Alura Heather, Jake Flowers, Nancy Story and Zack Rose all of these teams hated each other.
"Well, well, well look who we have here Ezra Bringer the first one to survive the massacre" Ben said.
"What are you a fan?" Valkyria asked.
"Guys sorry to disturb your intense situation, but only one of us gets out alive" Layla said.
"Obviously Ezra's team will come on top I mean the guy survived a massacre and none of us know how" Zack said.
"You guys realize that I'm standing right here, right?" Ezra asked.
"Oh shut up Bringer" Valkyria gave him this look.
"Are you weaklings going to fight or waste our lives?" Solomon interrupted.
"Sorry chief" Layla and Ben said.
Both Layla and Ben's team were in the same group so they took formation against Ezra's team, so it wasn't a fair fight.
(Gulps)" we are screwed" said Damian.
Without no one was expecting what happened next to happen, Layla's team took out Ben's team.
"What the hell?!" Ben furious.
"Sorry sweetie, but we want them for ourselves" Layla blew a kiss.
Now it was just team Ezra and Layla's team, staring at each other grunting and holding to their weapons tight, Layla's team takes the weapon of Ben's team and hands them to Ezra's team.
"So it can be a fair fight" Layla smiles.
"Thanks" Ezra grateful.
Then they fought, all of them gave their all and best because as time passed not even a single one of them from both teams was out yet, they kept fighting and fighting until they got tired. The others gave up and surrendered willingly, and joined the others who were watching and eating by the bleachers.
Only three remained standing Ezra, Layla and Valkyria were the only ones facing off.
"Two against one, now that isn't a fair fight" said Layla.
"What you think we'll take out each other, like what you did to your team?" Ezra asked.
"It would be flattering if you did that for helpless old me" Layla teased.
"So you wanna take her?" Ezra asked Valkyria.
"Don't you?" She asked back.
"I don't fight girls" Ezra replied.
"Okay then it would be my pleasure" Valkyria takes a formation.
Ezra drops down his weapon, eliminating himself, Layla and Valkyria face off. Both of them are great fighters and they give their all.
"Wow you really good, have you thought of leaving your old team and joining my team?" Layla asked.
"Sorry but I don't like your team" They keep on fighting.
Valkyria was really about to win, when Layla kicked the dust to her face blinding Valkyria. The dust everywhere so no one from the outside could see what happened. Layla takes Valkyria's spear off her hands, gives her the one that is broken in half. Just as the dust settles down Layla jumps and pretends to break the spear in half.
"Oh my God! Layla just broke Valkyria's spear in half, which declares her the winner. Making her and her team the first ones to receive the blessings" Moses commented.
Layla's team got excited and run to celebrate with her, Valkyria sat down with disappointment and her team came to comfort her. She just got up and left them there.
