Amazingly enough, the other person didn't even blink; an eternity seemed to pass, and those eyes remained fixed on her. Finally, the bluish-green orbs looked away, focusing on the tray holding the flute she had purchased earlier and Evelyn's rare books. The eunuch's hand trembled as he held onto the tray for dear life.
