Chapter 3 - Goblins and orcs

Pete finds himself in an entirely different place as he opens his eyes, looking around, he realizes he is in the middle of a forest, filled with the sounds, sights and scents of a magical world.

The forest around Pete is a vibrant tapestry of life and magic. Towering trees with emerald green leaves form a dense canopy overhead, allowing beams of sunlight to filter through and create dappled patterns on the forest floor. The air is crisp and fresh, carrying the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the earthy aroma of moss and damp soil.

The forest seemed alive with the sounds of chirping birds, rustling leaves, and the distant murmur of a flowing stream. Small, glowing insects flit through the air, leaving trails of light like tiny, floating stars. Various colorful plants and flowers bloom in abundance, their petals opening and closing in a rhythmic dance with the light.

Pete blinks in confusion, but the confusion quickly turns into excitement mixed with trepidation.

He takes a cautious step forward, feeling the soft moss under his feet.

"Aaaaa... I actually isekaid " Pete shouted.

Pete ran here and there looking, touching new things that he has never seen before, but didn't seem to realize his speed, but somehow managed to not to cause any damage to the forest,

"And I am strong too.. "

Excitement could be heard in his voice as he jumped and to his surprise, he actually jumped couple of meters high, he then tested his speed which he also found a lot faster.

Filled with excitement and joy, he just ran through the forest even forgetting he is naked.

Running naked, Pete saw some small, humanoid creatures with greenish-gray skin blending well with the forest foliage, revealing sharp, jagged teeth, they wear ragged clothes made from animal hide and were carrying crude weapons- stone daggers, slings, bow and wooden spears. Despite their small size, they exude an aura of danger and malice.

"Woah... Aren't those goblins!!! " Pete said loudly with excitement.

His voice also alerted the goblins as they twisted their faces into sinister grins and aimed their weapons at Pete.

"Haha.. I can take some goblins easily " Pete rushed towards the goblins,

He effortlessly seized one of them and hurled it toward the tree. The goblin coughed up green blood as its back slammed into the tree trunk, then crumpled to the ground.

Pete proceeded to kick the second goblin, sending it soaring into the nearby bushes.

The remaining goblins ran away into the bushes,

"Haha... being overpowered is fun " Pete laughed and said with joy.

*Rustle* A rustling noise came from the bush behind him,

Pete turned with confident smile, but when he looked around, there was nothing there.

Confused, he slowly approached the bush, yet found nothing inside it.

Just as he was about to turn, a wooden arrow pierced his right thigh,

"Ahh... " Pete screamed with pain, collapsing backward onto the ground and clutching his injured thigh.

Another wooden arrow found its mark, striking Pete's left shoulder.

Another wooden arrow found its mark, striking Pete's left shoulder.

"Ahh!" Pete screamed once more, the pain shooting through him as he grimaced from the impact.

The three goblins emerged from the bushes slowly, their faces twisted into a sinister grin, they took out bone daggers and started poking Pete all over the body, turning his body red from the blood.

"Ahh!... help... help" Pete screamed again and again as he curled up.

"Endure and kill them, they are only three " Pete heard Morsh's voice in his head.

But the pain didn't let him think about anything else as he continued shouting for help.

Morsh: "You will be dead if this continues... you can kill these in a second, just endure and attack "

Regardless of Morsh's words, Pete didn't listen and continued shouting for help.

Just as Pete was on the verge of giving up, the goblins suddenly halted their attack.

Pete cautiously opened his eyes to find the goblins cowering in fear before him.

This sparked a wave of confidence in Pete as he smiled and said: "Now you fear the hero... but it's too late, I will kill you now "

Pete slowly stood up, even forgetting about his wounds, but the goblins ran away,

"I won't fall for the same trick again " Pete said as he spits blood,

But his confidence didn't last longer as a shadow covered him from behind,

Pete turned around slowly, only to be met with a massive green fist hurtling towards him. The impact sent him flying several meters backward, and he landed flat on his back.

He slowly looked up only to two towering, fearsome beings, each standing over eight feet tall, their skin is a mottled greenish-brown, tough and leathery, with numerous scars.

Their muscles bulge, their faces are fierce and intimidating, with broad, flat noses and large, tusk-like teeth protruding from their lower jaws with their piercing red eyes and dark hairs.

They were wearing patchwork armor made from thick leather. They both wielded spiked club.

"Aren't those orcs " Pete said as he slowly stood up, wanting to run away,

The orcs waste no time. With cruel laughter, they advance on Pete, their heavy footsteps shaking the ground. The first orc swings its spiked club, striking Pete across the back and sending him sprawling to the ground. Pain radiates through his body as he struggles to get up.

The second orc grabs Pete by the collar, lifting him effortlessly off the ground. With a savage grin, it slams him into a tree, causing him to gasp in pain. The orcs take turns beating him mercilessly, using their immense strength to toss him around like a rag doll. Every blow feels like it could break his bones, and his vision blurs from the agony.

"Help me... someone... help me... " Pete could only repeat these words before losing his consciousness,

The grin on faces of orcs was now replaced with disappointment, like a child when their new toy broke before they were bored of it.

As they moved closer to Pete, his hand moved.

Orcs looked at each other with a grin as they ran towards Pete,

"Argh!" Pete shouted, rolling to the side to evade the orcs' attack.

He quickly got to his feet, pulling out the wooden arrows from his thigh and shoulder, gripping one in each hand.

"Argh.. it hurts... that kid is and idiot " Morsh said as he had taken over the body.

The orcs ran towards him with a grin on their faces,

Morsh glared at them and ran towards them too, as they closed in on each other, one of the orcs swung its club at Morsh. With a nimble leap, Morsh dodged the attack and landed on orc's shoulder.

Morsh then with a swift and decisive move, plunged the wooden arrows into both of the orc's eyes.

"Chiyaah " The orc screamed in pain, swinging his club wildly.

The club struck the other orc's chest with a heavy impact, knocking him to the ground.

Morsh swiftly removed the arrows from the first orc's eyes. He then leaped near the head of the second orc and drove the arrows deep into its ears.

"Khee.. " the orc died instantly as the arrows pierced his brain.

"Ahh.. " Morsh, enduring pain looked at the other orc that was swinging his club everywhere,

"There is supposed to be magic in this world " Morsh muttered, concentrating intensely as he attempted to sense any trace of magical energy within himself.

Eventually, he felt something, Concentrating, Morsh managed to draw it out of his body successfully.

A dark mist emanated from his hands,

"So this is magic... huh... this is my limit now "

Morsh then tried to throw the dark mist at the orc, but instead of leaving his hand, it lingered, swirling around his hand,

"Tch... " Morsh reached for the fallen orc's club, only to find that the dark mist had enveloped it partially.

With a grin, Morsh leaped into the air and brought the club down from above.

The blow struck the top of orc's head, and simultaneously, the dark mist entered its body through the club.

The orc dropped its club and collapsed to the ground, clutching its head. Within moments, it ceased all movement and lay still.

The dark mist emerged from the orc's body and hovered above it.

Curiously, Morsh tried to call it back and to his surprise, it actually swirled back to him. A strange sensation spread throughout Morsh's body as he absorbed the mist.

Morsh just closed his eyes as the sensation was relieving the pain from his wounds,

The dark mist spread throughout his body as, coursing through his muscles, strengthening them, and fortified his bones and organs.

After couple of minutes, Morsh opened his eyes, his body still wounded but the pain was relieved a lot, and the blood flow has also stopped.

"I feel stronger than before... Is it because I've become stronger, or am I getting used to this body?" Morsh pondered aloud.

Morsh then looked at his naked body, sighed and stripped some leather from the orc's armor and covered his lower half of the body from the leather, like a towel,

"It should do, for now.. "

Morsh followed the sound of the stream and soon arrived at its banks.

"There's always civilization near water," he mused, beginning to walk downstream.

The stream soon merged with a small river. Morsh jumped into the water and washed the blood from his body.

To his surprise, the wounds were nearly healed by now, astonishing Morsh.

"The healing of this body is really something " Morsh said to himself as he emerged from the water.

He noticed smoke in a distance and, covering himself with the leather towel, he made his way towards the smoke.
