Chapter 23 - Zero Justice 23

Episode 23- Generals Mash Aikawa, Bunsaki Tojo, and Yin Gonjo

"Okay. Well. There is General Mash Aikawa, my friend and ally. As a teenager, about sixteen years old at the time, he fought a dragon alone. He was an ego driven and proud boy, too proud of his strength. The dragon was a water dragon named Torrent Kur. At the time, Mash had no abilities and no power. He was simply a proud man. Things of course, did not go as expected for him. He approached the dragon with nothing except plain clothes and two fists. He fought his best, but a boy is a boy, and a dragon is a dragon. Torrent Kur not only defeated Mash, but beat him within an inch of his life. Torn skin, cracked bones, and all, Mash never fell to the ground once. No matter what blow the dragon dealt, Mash despite the pain, stayed standing.

When it was time for the dragon to land the final decisive blow, the dragon had a change of heart. It's unclear exactly why, maybe out of respect or honor, Torrent Kur decided to give Mash his power. He was given enhanced strength and the power of a water dragon. If it touches his body and can create moisture, including something as simple as air, he can manipulate and enhance it".

"Okay, and the sandman I just encountered?", asks Zero impatiently.

"That was General Bunsaki Tojo. A genius inventor and mad scientist rolled into one man. Most of the recent technological advancements in Grandoria are random ideas that were simply floating around in his mind. Years ago, nobody knows exactly when, but Tojo came upon the dead carcass of a rock dragon. Supposedly the dragon was dead for years from old age, but being who he is, Tojo dissected and conducted experiments with every piece of the dead dragon. Some parts he rubbed onto his skin, some parts he turned into a liquid and injected to specific parts of himself including his eyes, and some parts he simply ate. The last part is the most vile and disgusting. Tojo took the old and dead heart of the dragon, used technology to make it beat again without a body, then conducted a ritual on it that nobody could possibly understand except him. After that, he removed a lot of his own blood from his body, liquified the heart, and replaced his missing blood with the liquified heart. The experiment almost killed him, some say it did kill him. Nonetheless he walks today. It's unclear whether or not he is human or simply a living fossil.

His manipulation and scientific understanding of everything to do with a rock dragon, combined with his twisted knowledge of all things makes him formidable on any battlefield."

Red Dawn scratches her head, then paces around a bit. She stops, then continues to speak, "Of course, there is- or rather was, General Yin Gonjo. I was never too fond of him and honestly did my best to avoid him because of his habits outside of battle. Yin Gonjo did not have the power of a light dragon. I would call it a stolen ability. He used, abused, and stole the ancient practices of the light dragons. He used sigil magic along with the ancient light of the light dragons to tattoo himself with the ability to momentarily bend light, or things that light touches to his will. Whether it meant pushing objects, pulling objects, or gathering light within himself, he was capable of doing it all. He was the nucleus of everything corrupt in Grandoria. Nothing horrible happened in Grandoria that he didn't have knowledge of, or wasn't a part of himself. He was connected to the prison, crime, extortions, and anything else you can think of all under the cover of being a self proclaimed 'high authority'. The rumor was that he took prisoners from jail and made them fight each other to the death for years off of the winners sentence, or for 'protection' for their family members that aren't in jail, but simply have nobody to provide for them in the home.".

"It's that false sense of authority that made him careless with me.", mocks Zero.
