Chapter 14: Amendment in my plan
The grand hall echoed with the regal introductions of the princesses. Each one stepped forward, their gowns swishing softly against the polished marble floor.
"I am Elena Mythralon," declared the first princess, her silver hair cascading down her back like a waterfall.
"I am Elsa Sylvaria," announced the second, her eyes a striking shade of emerald green.
"I am Lavinia Elarion," said the third, her voice carrying an air of mystery.
"I am Celestia Lirandor," proclaimed the fourth, her golden tiara glinting in the sunlight.
"I am Seraphine Valoria," concluded the fifth, her presence commanding attention.
Lavinia's eyes narrowed as she turned to Avaria, her rival. "Avaria, we didn't know you had gotten so close to him. After your defeat last time, I thought you despised him."
Avaria hesitated, her gaze flickering toward Yuna. "Yes-yes," she stammered, "the day after the duel, she proposed to me. Said she loved me. I couldn't help but accept."
Me, the enigmatic figure who had captured their hearts, sat quietly, my expression unreadable. I had secrets, and the princesses sensed it. But there were more pressing matters at hand.
Elena leaned toward Elsa, her voice a conspiratorial whisper. "Do you think Yuna is truly what he seems?"
Elsa's emerald eyes narrowed. "No one conceals their abilities that well without reason. Perhaps he's more powerful than any of us realize."
Lavinia scoffed. "Or perhaps he's a spy sent by one of the rival kingdoms"
Celestia, always the diplomat, interjected. "Regardless, we must focus on our studies."
Suddenly a stern looking figure entered the hall and scanned the hall with her eyes,it was out teacher.
The teacher interrupted their whispered conversation. "Students," he began, his voice echoing off the high ceilings, "from today, you will study in this school for four years. Best of luck to all of you."
I leaned forward, his curiosity piqued. The origin of magic—the very essence that had transformed their world—was about to be revealed.
"Three hundred years ago," the teacher continued, "before this world was bestowed with magic, a bright light appeared in the sky. It streaked across like a falling star, leaving wonder in its wake.It arrived unexpectedly like a comet leaving a trail of wonder.
The inhabitants had been both fascinated and fearful as they gathered in awe. Sparks danced in the air, objects levitated without explanation. Elders studied ancient texts, seeking guidance from mystical creatures that emerged alongside magic.
"Incantations, gestures, hidden energy," the teacher explained. "These were the secrets of magic. The once mundane world transformed—markets bustling with magical trinkets, amulets, and potions."
But magic came with responsibility. The comet that brought magic also carried a mysterious relic—the blessings of God, they assumed. Research revealed that the Relic distributed magic, leading to the establishment of the magic academy and the formation of the Crimson Knights.
As years passed, the Relic changed, splitting into six parts, each claimed by a dominant kingdom. And now, it existed as a formless entity, its location shrouded in darkness, promising divine power to the chosen one.
My mind raced. My vengeance had driven me, but this revelation changed everything. A more effective way to absorb magic power existed—one that required rare ingredients which doesn't have a specific location, an ancient artifact, and a lunar eclipse that who knows after how many years it will occur again and the worst of all was to remember it's incantation.I weighed the cost against my burning desire for revenge.
"Why wouldn't I use it?" Yuna pondered, his eyes fixed on the distant horizon.
And here starts the new journey which awaits yuna to unravel it's secret.....
